Everyday life difficulties of persons with disabilities on quality (CQR) research (장애인의 일상생활 어려움에 관한 합의적 질적(CQR) 연구)

  • In this study, people with disabilities experience difficulties in their daily lives evaluate. To this end, eight people with disabilities in Seoul material by conducting consensual qualitative in-depth interviews (CQR) method of analysis. The findings in the three categories and therefore the region 14 to 48 depending on the frequency analysis. Psychology in everyday life of people with disabilities, lack of self-confidence and emotional experience difficulties, health problems, concerns, marriage (remarriage), and the opposite sex, family relationship difficulties, loneliness, worry about aging issues, respectively. Social and economic difficulties experienced difficulties in the relationship, livelihood issues, childbirth and parenting issues, work-life difficulties, trouble appeared when going out. Process to deal with these experiences of meeting the religious institutions, community system used, was used with the help of the people around. By the results of this study, people with disabilities in everyday life so that you can overcome difficulties that practical help and social services to the community through the ongoing support system was required to suggestions.

An Analysis of the Difficulties Faced by New Science Teachers in Secondary Schools (중등과학 초임교사가 교직수행과정에서 겪는 어려움 분석)

  • This study aimed to identify the difficulties that new science teachers in secondary schools experience. Subjects for this study were 190 science teachers attending qualifying training for 1st degree of teaching certificate. Using an open questionnaire, the difficulties these teachers encounter were collected, categorized, and compared between their first year and their succeeding years of teaching in terms of their school level, gender, majors and regions. Results showed that first year science teachers have had difficulties in areas including subject teaching, guidance, administrative affairs, human relationship and self-understanding. On their succeeding years, difficulties about subject teaching were reduced to half while other difficulties remained. New teachers in middle schools have experienced the most number of difficulties about guidance, while new teachers in general high schools have experienced the most number of difficulties about subject teaching. Based on these findings, some recommendations were proposed for new science teachers in secondary schools, school administrators, and training institutions.

Effects of Cognitive Impairment on Self-reported Hearing Handicap in Older Adults with Early-stage Presbycusis (초기 노인성 난청자에서 인지장애가 일상생활 듣기 어려움에 미치는 영향)

  • Everyday hearing handicap caused by presbycusis ultimately reduces quality of life in older adults. The aim of this study was to explore effects of cognitive impairment on self-reported hearing handicap in older adults with early-stage presbycusis. We compared K-HHIE scores between 40 elderly subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and age- and hearing-threshold matched 40 cognitively normal elderly (CNE) subjects. The results are as follows: 1) The MCI group scored significantly higher than the CNE group on the social/situational and emotional sections, and in total. 2) The MCI group scored significantly higher than the CNE group on all four subscales, and the most significant group difference was on the first subscale relating to interpersonal relationships and social handicaps. 3) Both groups scored highest on the item 8 (problems hearing whispering sounds) and item 15 (problems hearing TV or radio sounds). Besides those two items, the MCI group also scored high on the item 21 (problems hearing in a restaurant), item 6 (problems hearing when attending a party), item 3 (avoiding groups of people), and item 20 (personal or social restrictions). Our findings suggest that, among older adults with early-stage presbycusis, older adults with cognitive impairment tend to report greater everyday hearing handicap than their peers with normal cognitive function. Especially, they show significant problems hearing in background noise or multi-talker situations, which cause social restrictions and social/emotional loneliness.

  • In this study, the multicultural families female marriage immigrants experience life in Korea to evaluate the difficulty. To this end, a multi-cultural families living in Gyeonggi Province accomplished female marriage immigrants choose eight people to consensual conduct in-depth interviews with qualitative analysis methods(CQR) were analyzed using. The findings in the three categories and therefore the region of 49 to 12 depending on the frequency analysis. Female marriage immigrants living in Korea psychological and emotional difficulties experienced in the relationship with your spouse, in-laws and relations, communication problems, difficulties in expressing emotional difficulties, respectively. Social and economic difficulties experienced discriminatory gaze, economic hardship, as a multicultural families become psychological atrophy, life, customs, and cultural differences, respectively. The process of coping with these experiences self-help meetings, participate in cultural programs, and community systems were used. By the results of this study multicultural families immigrant women to help overcome difficulties in the practical help and social services to the community through the ongoing support system was required to suggestions.

The Effect of the Elderly's Ability to Perform Daily Activities on Life Satisfaction: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Depression (노인의 일상생활 동작수행이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 우울감의 매개효과 중심)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of depression in the relationship between the performance of daily activities in the elderly and their life satisfaction. The subjects of the study were 10,097 people from the Survey on the Elderly (2020), and the SPSS 25.0 program was used for data analysis. The main research results that analyzed the elderly's daily life movement performance by dividing it into daily life discomfort and movement performance difficulty are as follows. First, it was confirmed that the effects of discomfort and difficulty in performing daily activities of the elderly on life satisfaction were significant. Second, the effects of discomfort in daily life and difficulty in motion performance in the elderly on depression were found to be at a statistically significant level. Third, the effect of depression on life satisfaction was found to be statistically significant. Fourth, the partial mediating effect of depression was examined in the relationship between the daily life discomfort and difficulty in motion performance of the elderly on life satisfaction. These results clarified that daily life discomfort, difficulty in performing movements, and depression should be reduced in order to improve life satisfaction of the elderly. Through this, a discussion was presented to increase the life satisfaction of the elderly.

Analysis of the Difficulties in the Development of Programs and Class Management in the Hands-on Science Class and Demands for Training of Instructors (생활과학교실 강사의 프로그램 개발과 수업 운영에서 겪는 어려움 및 연수에 대한 요구 분석)

  • This study attempted to understand the difficulties experienced in program development and class operation of instructors in the hands-on science class and the needs for training based on them. For this study, an online survey was conducted on 193 instructors in the hands-on science class in 2022, and interviews were conducted on 13 instructors. As a result, the difficulties of developing programs for hands-on science class instructors were due to lack of class content, lack of program development budget, lack of equipment necessary for class operation, and difficulty in applying various educational methods such as discussion and practice. The preferred training contents were in the order of the latest science and technology, reconstruction methods of existing programs, and regional specialization technology. In addition, it was found that the difficulties experienced by instructors in class management stemmed from the method of operating hands-on science classes using experience kits. Accordingly, instructor education should be provided in the direction of helping instructors to provide the best education in the situation of the hands-on science classroom.

Moderated Mediating Effect according to the Severity Level of a Disability and Mediating Effect of Job Security in the Relationship between Difficulties in the Workplace of the Disabled Wage Workers caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic and Their Life Satisfaction (장애인의 코로나19로 인한 직장 내 어려움과 생활만족도의 관계에서 고용안정성의 매개효과 및 장애중증여부의 조절된 매개효과)

  • The objective of this study is to verify the moderated mediating effects according to the severity level of a disability as well as the mediating effects of job security in the relationship between difficulties in the workplace of the disabled wage workers caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and their life satisfaction. As a result of analysis using SPSS ver. 25 and PROCESS macro, the difficulties within the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative influence on life satisfaction through the job security of the disabled wage worker. In other words, it was revealed that the level of difficulties being faced by the disabled wage workers, which were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, hinders their life satisfaction through job security. In addition, no moderating effect according to the severity level of disability was identified in the relationship between these variables. This is translated that difficulties in the workplace caused by the COVID-19 pandemic reduce job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers regardless of the severity level of the disability. Based on the results thus far, this study further discussed the institutional implications for promoting the job security and life satisfaction of the disabled wage workers under the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

  • 지금 우리의 문제 중에 가장 심각한 문제는 노인문제라고 할 수 있다. 노인이 되면 일반적으로 경제적으로 자립하지 못하고 건강이 악화되기 때문에 스스로 생활하는데 어려움을 갖게 된다. 보다 활력이 넘치는 건강한 노년기를 보내기 위해서 자신에게 맞는 적당한 운동과 건강관리를 하는 것이 무엇보다도 필요하다.
