The purpose of this study was parents' perception on young children's safety life, safety accident, and safety education and provided basic data of administrating parent education for young children's safety. Subjects of this study were 620 parents (310 fathers and 310 mothers) of young children attending at four public kindergartens and two day care centers located in C city and D county. The results of the study were as follows: First, regarding parents' perception on young children's safety life, parents thought that their perception and attitude would mostly affect young children' safety life. Second, with regard to parents' perception on safety accident, half of parents experienced such safety accident as accident during play, traffic accident, accident in dangerous places, accident from dangerous matters, accident in sport activities, fire, and electric shock. Third, most parents looked upon safety education as very important one, and fathers were more satisfied with the safety education administered by kindergartens. Fourth, with regard to parents' perception on parent education for young children's safety, most parents thought that parent education for safety would be necessary. They ranked traffic and play accidents as the most important contents of safety education.

According to the official letter of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (recent guidance on the status of deaths in the construction industry and thorough safety management, April 4, 2022), 17 deaths occurred in construction works worth more than 5 billion won until March 31, 2022. In terms of the size of the construction, 7 cases of 5 billion won to 12 billion won, 5 cases of 12 billion won to 80 billion won, and 5 cases of more than 80 billion won occurred. The causes of death accidents were found to be nine cases (50%), five cases (28%), two cases of collapse (11%), one case of entrapment (5%), and one case of drowning (5%). Safety facilities need to be strengthened to reduce deaths caused by falling, which accounts for most of the deaths, and if fall prevention nets, openings, and safety rails are completely installed, most falling accidents can be prevented. Therefore, this paper intends to present cases of development and use of patent technology through improvement of safety facilities in order to prevent accidents corresponding to the fall of new urban living housing sites, which are small apartment houses.

아이들은 항상 안전사고에 노출되어 있다. 특히 걷거나 뛰기 시작하는 나이에는 위험에 대한 인지 능력이 부족하기 때문에 생각지도 못한 곳에서 다치기 쉽다. 이때 놀란 부모가 허둥대다가 제대로 대처하지 못하거나 잘못된 의학상식만을 믿고 자의적인 처치를 해 상처가 덧나게 할 수도 있다. 일상생활에서 알아두면 유용한 아동 응급처치 요령을 상황별에 맞춰 알아보도록 하자.

Fire accidents in foreign countries, like the accident in a thermal power plant in Beijing, the accidents in domestic power plants, including Boryeong Power Plant in 2012 and Taean Power Plant in 2016, a disaster in a nuclear power plant in Fukushima in 2011 or the large-scale power failure in California in 2001 are safety accidents related to electric power, which caused losses in the people's stable lives and the countries. Electricity has an absolute impact on the people's life and the economy, so we can easily expect the serious situation affecting economic growth as well as direct damage to the protection of the people's lives and the losses of properties, if there are fire or explosion accidents or radioactive leak because of negligence in safety management, or problems because of natural disasters like an earthquake in power plants that generate electricity. In this study, it was drawn the improvement of the organizations exclusively in charge of firefighting, the operation of a program for the improvement of professional competency, the development of a customized firefighting management system for plants for systematic firefighting safety management and the improvement of the earthquake-proof correspondence system, which has recently become an issue, as measures for improvements through a survey of the actual conditions concerning the necessity of the construction of a firefighting safety management system for power plants with five power generation companies, including Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd., and the persons in charge of firefighting safety Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd.

일반적으로 사람은 육체적, 정신적 그리고 심리적 자극에 반응할 경우 스트레스(Stress)가 유발된다. 이 스트레스는 정상적인 업무수행 뿐만 아니라 건강에 악영향을 미칠 수 있고, 피로누적의 한 원인이 되기 한다. 특히 열악한 환경에서 직무를 수행하는 선원에게 있어서 스트레스는 해양사고의 직간접적인 요인이 될 수 있기 때문에 선박 인적자원관리의 한 측면으로 중요하게 다루어질 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 해운기업이 선원의 인사 및 안전관리 시스템에 활용할 수 있는 선원용 스트레스 평가도구를 개발하기 위한 것으로, 기본영역, 가족생활영역, 재정영역, 직업 및 선박생활영역에 대하여 90개의 항목으로 구성된 설문도구를 개발하여 설문조사를 수행하였고, Holmes & Rahe의 사회적응평가도구의 항목 및 평가지수와 비교분석하여 한국 선원의 문화적 차이를 고려한 설문도구를 개발하기 위한 기초적 연구를 수행하였다.

Recently, safety accidents of daily necessities such as humidifier disinfectant, mobile phones, and infant diapers, have occurred frequently. To protect consumers from these accidents, product safety management is required, and a product risk assessment tool is needed to evaluate the degree of safety of the product. In this paper, we have constructed RAS, which is a system that can evaluate product risk based on injury information of product accident in Korea Consumer Agency. RAS consists of an injury information analysis system for analyzing accident-related information and a risk assessment system for assessing risk using information derived from the system. The Bayesian network - based probabilistic method is applied to reflect the causal relationships that affect product risk in the risk assessment process. We used RAS to evaluate 33 children's products and compared them with the results of EU RAPEX RAG. Subsequent tasks include reducing the subjectivity of the input of the accident impact scale, and linking the above two systems.

It has been long time since the social concern about school safety was fully raised in our country. The accidents, such as sexual violence against young children, traffic accident when going to and from school, psychological violence by bullying, extorting money & violence and so on, frequently happen. Under the circumstances that this kind of school safety problems are concerned greatly by society, it is very important for schools to create the environment in which children can have a safe living. The study focuses on the necessity and introduction of a professional school police system to establish the sexual violence prevention system in advance. The system, practically and systematically organized, can prevent various kinds of safety accidents and form the agreement of family, regional society, and related institutions alike. It is also supposed to emphasize the strengthening of school safety by its operation.

최근 이상기후로 인한 홍수, 산사태 등 자연재난 및 각종 사건사고 등 사회적 재난에 따른 인명 피해가 매년 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 특히, 재난에 대한 노출도가 높고 재난이 빈번하게 발생하는 일본, 미국과 달리 높지 않은 우리나라의 경우 실제 재난상황에 직면할 경우 상대적으로 낮은 생존율을 보이고 있으며 이러한 대표적인 사례가 바로 올해 발생한 세월호 침몰사고에 따른 인명 피해를 들 수 있다. 이에 사후약방문식으로 많은 전문가들이 체계적인 대응 매뉴얼 부재, 정부의 일사분란한 대응의 부족을 언급하고 있는 실정이나 정작 재난에 직면한 일반 국민들이 평상시에도 이해하기도 힘든 매뉴얼의 대응수칙을 재난상황에 따를 수 있을 것이라고 생각하는 것은 "재난에서 재난을 배울 수 없는" 우리나라의 현주소 그 자체를 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 재난 발생시 신속한 대응이 가능한 수준의 직관적 재난대처 요령을 국민들에게 알려주는 것이 무엇보다 요구된다 할 수 있다.

대한산업안전협회 울산지회에서 근무하고 있는 정부영 기술부장은 1991년 입사 이후 지금까지 한 번도 초심을 잃은 적이 없다. 나이는 숫자에 불과하다는 듯, 지금까지도 관내 사업장의 무재해라는 목표를 가지고 누구보다 열성적으로 업무에 임한다. '부장'이라는 직책에 있다 보니, 대내외적으로 챙겨야 할 일이 매우 많다. 현장에서는 안전을 지도해주는 안전전문가로, 직장에서는 부서 직원들의 단합된 힘을 이끌어나가는 직장상사로, 가정에서는 가족을 돌봐야 하는 가장으로서의 역할까지 그의 몫이다. 이러한 '1인 3역'의 어려움을 남들보다 한 발 더 뛰는 부지런함으로 극복했다. 그는 최근에 두 가지 큰 선물을 받았다. 2013년 대한산업안전협회의 모범직원으로 선정됐으며, 바쁜 생활 속에서도 틈틈이 시간 내어 공부한 결과 기술사(기계안전)라는 안전분야 최고의 기술자격을 취득했다. 긍정적인 사고와 함께 항상 노력하는 그의 모습이 이번에 두 가지 큰 결실로 이어졌다. 안전을 천직이라 여기며, 하루하루 바쁘게 움직이는 정부영 부장을 만나봤다.

배관(pipeline)은 가스나 기름과 같은 많은 양의 유체를 빠르고 안전하게 수송하는 수단으로 현대 산업에서 필수적인 요소이다. 석유화학공장, 발전소 등과 같은 시설의 배관에서부터 우리의 생활과 밀접하게 관계되어 있는 가스관, 냉난방용 배관, 상하수도관까지 널리 설치, 운영되고 있다. 이러한 배관은 시간이 지남에 따라 노화, 부식으로 인한 결함이나 공사 등으로 인해 손상이 야기되고, 결국 배관의 안전성에 많은 문제점이 발생하게 되어 대형사고의 주요한 원인이 되고 있다. (중략)
