A Survey on the Problems and Conditions of Educational Guidance and Counselling in the Gifted Education Programs (초중등 영재학급·교육원의 학생 생활지도 실태 및 과제 - 영재 담당교사들의 인식을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems and conditions of educational guidance and counselling of teachers in the gifted classes. For the study, 267 teachers were sampled from the Gifted Education Institutes of metropolitan and provincial offices of education and Gifted Classes of the school across Korea, and the questionnaire developed by the researchers were administered to them. The results of this study are as follows : First, the 82% of respondents reported that the guidance and counselling in the gifted education is needed. So it demands the active responsive strategies on it. Second, the respondents reported that the selfish or self-centered traits of the gifted students are the most problematic in the gifted classes. It shows the emphasis should be put on the basic life habits and moral education in the guidance and counselling of the gifted education. Third, they pointed out the case-based education is needed for the parents of the gifted to correct their misconceptions about their children. Fourth, to support the teachers of the gifted program, the administrative measures have to be taken, like operation of character education program, forming a consultative group with the experienced teachers, developing the case-based guideline for the guidance and counselling for the gifted education, etc. Fifth, we should develop the Korean model of the gifted education to promote social capital for our future society.

  • 가정용 생활 쓰레기 수거 작업은 야간이나 이른 새벽에 이루어지고 있어 환경미화원의 안전사고와 수거 차량으로 인한 소음 문제가 빈번하게 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 기반의 영상 인식을 활용하여 종량제 봉투를 인식하고 수거가 가능한 생활 쓰레기 수거 로봇의 설계를 제시한다. 제시하는 생활 쓰레기 수거 로봇은 지정 구역을 자율주행하며 로봇에 장착된 카메라를 이용해 학습된 모델을 기반으로 가정용 쓰레기 종량제 봉투를 검출한다. 이를 통해 처리 대상으로 지정된 종량제 봉투와 로봇 팔 사이의 거리를 카메라를 활용하여 얻은 깊이 정보와 2차원 좌표를 토대로 목표 위치를 예측해 로봇 팔의 관절을 제어하여 봉투를 수거한다. 해당 로봇은 생활 쓰레기 수거 작업 과정에서 환경미화원을 보조하여 미화원의 안전 확보와 소음 저감을 위한 기기로 활용될 수 있다.

  • According to the development of information technology, there are many services in our life. These services make our life safe and convenient. However, the increment of the services also causes the increment of human concern and effort to control these services. The context-aware service is the service that provided their functionality at the right time and to the right place by analysis user's current situation. The most previous studies about context-aware service regard that context-aware services are defined by the developer who has expertise in information technology. The definition of the context-aware services by the developer makes difficult to reflect user's personal preferences and life pattern to the services. In this paper, we propose an user interface EUCAS(by End-User, Context-Aware Service development) that make the user can define and manage their own context-aware service according to their preferences. We expect EUCAS can be effective user interface technology for providing personalized context-aware service.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the causality between satisfaction /stress with school life and drinking-related behaviors of students majoring in the Dept. of Culinary Arts. The majors taught in college will connect to the job in the future directly. Therefore, in this regard, the results of this study have great importance for Dept. Culinary Arts student training. Results indicated that a positive perception of drinking partially influenced the levels at < ${\beta}=-.219$, p<0.01> a partial impact on school life satisfaction and stress. Negative perceptions also appeared to influence < ${\beta}=.445$, p<0.01> and < ${\beta}=.213$, p<0.01> levels of satisfaction and stress. Therefore, drinking behavior appears to affect the college life experience stress. Schools will have to incorporate this as part of the curriculum to correct the drinking behavior of students.

A study of school adjustment of multi-cultural elementary students (다문화가정 초등학생의 학교생활적응에 관한 질적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine distress and difficulties experienced by multi-cultural elementary students in our society and to identify replaceable resources related to their school adjustment. For this, semi-structured interview consisting of questions related to these issues was conducted to 14 multi-cultural elementary students of 3rd to 6th grade who were living in a metropolitan area. Qualitative data were analyzed based on Giorgi's(1985) method of phenomenological analysis, which led to three dimensions in relation to elementary school adjustment: individual, relationship, and societal dimensions. Also, for school adjustment, education was found to be needed at the level of individuals, family, and multi-cultural cognition. Lastly, as for multi-cultural elementary students to adjust well not only at the school but also in Korean society overall, they must have positive national identity and multi-cultural recognition. Finally, their school adjustment were discussed in relation to these findings.

  • 악취는 사람의 후각을 자극해 심리적, 정신적 피해와 건강상의 피해를 주는 감각오염의 한 형태로 생활환경과 사람의 심리상태에 따라 악취에 대한 인식이 달라지는 특성이 있다. 최근 악취민원 경향을 살펴보면 과거 주요한 악취발생원이었던 산업시설과 축산시설보다 음식점, 세탁시설, 인쇄사 등 주거지역 주변에 위치한 시설에서 발생되는 악취로 인한 민원 건수가 점점 증가하고 있는 추세다. 이는 국민의 소득증가와 더불어 쾌적한 생활환경의 요구로 인해 지금까지 신경쓰지 않았던 생활환경 주변의 냄새를 악취로 느끼는 경향이 강해졌기 때문이다.

  • 과거의 오프라인에서만 이루어 졌던 생활이 온라인에서의 활동으로 발전함으로 인해 온라인상에서 사용자가 올바른 사용자인지의 여부는 중요한 문제이다. 온라인상이나 나아가 일반 생활에서도 사용자 인증을 보다 정확하게 하기 위하여 생체인식 기술을 도입하였다. 생체인식 기술은 개인의 고유한 특징을 이용하여 인증을 수행하는 방법으로 비밀번호를 대체하는 차세대 인증 기술로 각광받고 있다. 인간의 고유한 특징의 종류는 매우 다양하며 이러한 특징을 추출하는 생체인식 기술도 다양한 센서와 알고리즘을 이용하여 이루어진다. 이러한 다양한 생체인식 기술들을 구분하고 다양한 플랫폼에 적용하였을 경우 어떤 효용성이 있는지 분석하고자 한다.

The Perception of Middle School Teachers about the Environmental Problem (환경문제에 대한 중학교 교사들의 인식)

  • Environmental education, effectively performed at school, is very important to solve the environmental problems. Moreover the survey for teacher's perception is essential. The purpose of the study was to investigate the perception of environmental problems of middle school teachers in Pusan. The survey was done twice in 2007 and 2012, and based on the time intervals, careers, and major of the teachers. 200 teachers were chosen in 2007 and 300 teachers in 2012. How many environmental problems occurred during this time period affected the 471 teachers' perception was investigated and analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the perception difference of environmental problems was meaningful between two time intervals (p<.01). Especially, the perception of modern environmental problems and carbon emission showed considerable increase in both science and non-science major teachers. This may be caused by the climate change and the severity of lifestyles of indiscriminate consumerism. Second, the perception difference of environmental problems by careers was also meaningful (p<.01). Overall, the perception was obvious on the aspects of modern environmental problems, carbon emission, destruction of ozone layers, nuclear wastes, environmental hormones, and red tides. Teachers, having more careers irrespective of their teaching subjects, showed higher perception on the seriousness of environmental pollution, the necessity of environmental conservation, and the importance of health. Third, the perception of environmental problems between science and non-science major teachers was meaningful (p<.01). Particularly, the perception in the broad environmental problems was distinctive between them.

  • 경제 성장과 생활 수준의 향상으로 인한 자동차 수의 증가는 않은 문제를 발생시키고 있다 제한된 인력과 비용으로 효율적인 자동차 관리를 위한 연구 분야 중에서 자동차 번호판 인식 (Vehicle Plate Recognition) 기술은 법규위반의 식별, 통행료 징수, 납세, 도난.도주 차량 확인 및 주차 관리 등의 않은 분야에 응용되고 있다. 자동차 번호판 문자 인식 문제와 같이 훈련 예제 수집 비용이 많이 드는 경우에 제한된 수의 훈련 예제를 최대한 활용하여 분류 성능을 향상시키기 위한 방안 중 하나로, 수집된 훈련 예제들로부터 가상의 예제를 생성하고, 생성된 가상 예제를 훈련 예제로 추가하여 학습하는 절러 연구가 수행된 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 번호판 문자 인식의 성능 향상을 위친 수집된 예제들을 적절히 병합하여 가상의 예제를 생성하는 방안에 관해 기술하고, 문자 인식 분야에서 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 여러 알고리즘에 대하여 다양한 가상 예제 생성 방안 및 다양한 생성 비율 따른 실험을 통해 그 효용성을 확인하였다

Practical Problem-Focused Instructional Design and It's Perception Applying Universal Design (유니버설 디자인을 적용한 체험형 실천적 문제중심 수업 설계 및 수업 인식)

  • This study aims to design practical problem-focused instruction by applying universal design of "Housing" unit of Technology Home Economics in the 10th grade and examine the students' perception on the lesson. The lesson is composed of the following procedures: thinking, problem recognition, problem understanding, information search & alternative search, consideration of the result, and practice plan. To solve problem such as 'What should one do for everyone's convenient and comfortable residential life' practically, we chose the major concern of 'understanding the universal design', 'analysis of cause for environmental change', 'creation of human-concerned residential culture'and performed alternative experience program for the old, the pregnant and the disabled. The students perceived teaching methods and contents positively with interest. They also understood the lesson easily by experiential activity and discussion thus enabling their active participation. It was also found out that the students felt considerable change of their consciousness of living environment of residence and the local community, thus it is concluded that the practical problem-focused instructional design method is very effective.
