  • The leaders such as The Robert Foundation of the U.S., Social Firms U.K., EMES European Research Network worldwide are groping for the survival strategies of social enterprises and of their developmental methods with the utilization of social capital. Along with the way the world economy goes on, this study is first of all to empirically analyze how the diversity and strength of network as independent variables work with the studies of the survival of enterprises of Granovetter Mark, Burt Ronald, Coleman James, Peter Witt, Andreas Schroeter, Christin Merz, Helen Haugh, mainly concerned with the increase in employment, the increment in sales, delegation of authorization as dependent variables and secondly it is to present a theoretical possibility of optimizing the development of social enterprises. The object of this study consists of 25 companies recommended by experts out of the current national 295 social enterprises in 2009 through the analysis of sources of SPSS 12.0, appropriateness, reliability, interrelation, etc; besides, hypotheses are proved by multiple regression analysis. A result of the investigation indicates that there is the necessity of network in all the processes of the survival of enterprises, the growth in employment, the increase in sales, delegation of authorization; especially, it suggests that it is necessary to manage, maintain and develop primary factors relating to a variety of networks to improve sales, and relating to the intensity of network for the survival of corporations. At last, I think that this study could be a help to the strategies of utilizing social capital in order for many companies or nonprofit social organizations in Korea to develop into constant enterprises.

  • Purpose: Pain is the most common and influential symptom in cancer patients. Few studies concerning pain intensity in the terminally ill cancer patients have been done. This study aimed to identify factors related with more than moderate pain. Methods: This study used secondary data of 162 terminal cancer inpatients at the palliative ward of six training hospitals in Korea. Physician-assessed pain assessment was by 10 point numeric rating scale. Substantial pain was defined more than moderate intensity by the Korean National Guideline for cancer pain. The Korean version of the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory was self-administered to assess symptoms. Survival prediction was estimated by the attending physicians at the time of admission. Results: Less than six weeks of predicted survival and more than numeric rating of six for worst drowsiness in the previous 24 h were significantly related to substantial pain (P=0.012 and P=0.046, respectively). The dose of opioid analgesics was positively related to substantial pain (P=0.004). Conclusion: Factors positively related to substantial pain were less than six weeks of predicted survival and considerable drowsiness. Careful monitoring and active preparation for pain are required in terminal cancer patients having those factors.

  • Under variable complex operating environment, various factors can affect the lifetimes of systems. In this research, we study bivariate reliability models having multiple dynamic competing risks. As competing risks, in addition to the natural failure, we consider the increased stress caused by the failure of one component, external shocks, and the level of stress of the working environment at the same time. Considering two reliability models which take into account all of these competing risks, we derive bivariate life distributions. Furthermore, we compare these two models and also compare the distributions of maximum and minimum statistics in the two models.

  • This study proved that the importance of Alderfer's ERG theory. it checked the effects of these three elements on organization-based self-esteem through resilience. In particular, the relationship between the ERG and the psychological factors of the members of the organization is investigated. Moreover, we attempt to verify the mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between ERG and organization-based self-esteem. This study was used for analysis a survey on data 265 employees in 10 organizations. The major finding are as follows. it was found that all three elements of ERG was positively effected resilience. Furthermore, resilience was found to improve the level of organization-based self-esteem. Finally, it was found that resilience have played a mediating role on the relationship between the ERG and organization-based self-esteem. In the conclusion, the summary and implications of the study and the future direction of the study were presented.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the empirical analysis for charging factors and the evaluation models of internet site. Thus this is to analyze the charging factors affecting the consumer satisfaction of health information sites in the Internet. Based on the covariance structural model applied to a customer survey, this study shows that among the characteristics of the site, contents has the most significant effect on charging factor and customer satisfaction, which in turn affects the consumer willingness to recommend the site to others.

  • In this study, using the job history data of the Youth Panel(1-12th year: 2007 ~ 2018) of the Korea Employment Information Service, it is found that characteristics and duration distribution of first jobs of wage and salary worker, and estimated the factors of first job exit by utilizing survival analysis. As a result of the analysis, regular workers are less likely to leave their first jobs than temporary/daily workers. In addition, the group with a high degree of major congruence was found to have a lower chance of leaving the first job than the group with a major mismatch. And the higher the income level, the lower the probability of departure, which shows that the possibility of leaving low-income workers is very high.

  • This paper empirically examines the reemployment pattern (full-time versus part-time reemployment) using pooling 6 year data of Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS, 1998-2003). A discrete data analysis (multi-nominal logistic regression) is adopted to identify variables predicting reemployment pattern. Among those who lose full-time or part-time job in previous year, women and older people are found to have both longer unemployment durations and lower probabilities of full-time reemployment (versus either each of part-time reemployment or unemployment) than men and younger people. Therefore, the future labor market policy should be more associated with the one for reducing these gender and age differences in worker characteristics.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the risk factors for falls in tertiary hospital inpatients and to suggest data for developing a nursing intervention program for preventing falls. Methods: Data were collected between January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2017. Kaplan-Meier estimation was used to measure the survival rate, and the log-rank test was used for the differences between the fall group and the non-fall group. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to identify the risk factors for falls. Results: The incidence rate of falls for the inpatients was 1.2 cases per 1,000 days of hospitalization. The risk factors for falls were more likely to be found among those who were aged ${\geq}81$, had not undergone surgery, had poor joint motion, had unsteady gait, needed help or supervision, used assistive devices, had comorbidity, and took at least two drugs. Conclusion: For the inpatients, the risk factors for falls included age, surgery, comorbidity, medication that could change mobility, joint motion, and use of patient care equipment. It is necessary to give special attention to inpatients who have any of these risk factors and to develop a falls risk assessment tool.
