The Fabrication and Property Evaluation of Poly-crystalline CdTe based Photon Counting X-ray Sensor (다결정 CdTe 기반의 광계수형 X선 센서 제작 및 특성평가)

  • An electrical signals of a conventional radiation medical imaging sensor are obtained by charge integration method. In this study, the polycrystalline cadmium telluride(p-CdTe) film was fabricated by a thermal evaporation method for the photon counting sensor development with excellent resolution in low exposure dose. From the fabricated p-CdTe sensor, the physical properties(SEM, XRD) and the electrical properties(leakage current, x-ray sensitivity, SNR) were evaluated. As a result, the leakage current of below $5nA/cm^2$ and $7{\mu}C/cm^2-R$ of the X-ray sensitivity were showed in below $1V/{\mu}m$. In addition, the signal to noise ratio showed the values of above 5000 at operating voltage.

  • In this paper, we investigate the bracing rectangular frameworks problem and provide a new proof of this problem using the angle sequence according to deformed rectangular frameworks in a view of mathematising. And also we provide the algorithm to determine the rigidity of braced rectangular frameworks.

  • 본 논문에서는 온라인 필기체 수식 인식을 위한 순차적인 구조 분석 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 캐블릿상에서 필기된 수식에 대한 심볼 인식 결과와 각 심볼의 Bounding Box이 좌표를 입력받아서 필기 순서를 기반으로 순차적으로 수식의 구조를 해석한다. 그래프 내의 이웃하는 두 노드 사이의 관계를 결정하기 위해서 심볼의 사용에 관한 표기 정보와 6단계 관계 결정 규칙을 사용하여 노드들 사이에 생성될 수 있는 에지의 수를 최소화하고 BackTracking을 피했다. 제안 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 100개의 테스트 샘플에 대해 구조 분석 실험을 수행하였다.

Effect of Hydrogen Addition on the Conversion of Hydrocarbon Gas to Pyrocarbon Nanoparticles (탄화수소가스 열분해법에 의한 탄소나노입자 생성에 있어서 수소의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • With the assistance of thermal pyrolysis process for hydrocarbon gases, the formation and growth of particulate carbon was systematically investigated as a function of temperature in the gas phase. The yield and average size of pyrocarbon particles were found to increase with increasing pyrolysis temperature. The difference in the yield of carbon particles generated by pyrolizing acetylene and ethylene gas posed a question about the role of hydrogen in the pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases. In order to reveal the role of hydrogen, controlled amount of hydrogen was added to the acetylene pyrolysis, and then hydrogen addition was observed to suppress the formation and growth of carbon particles. One can control the size of pyrocarbon particles by controlling the hydrogen gas addition.

Off-Line Recognition of Unconstrained Handwritten Korean Words using Over-Segementation and Lexicon Driven Post-Processing Techniques (과다 분리 및 사전 후처리 기법을 이용한 한글이 포함된 무제약 필기 문자열의 오프라인 인식)

  • 본 논문에서는 오프라인 무제약 필기 한글 단어를 인식하기 위한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 단어 인식 시스템은 크게 다석가지 모듈-문자 분리,조합행렬생성, 특징 추출, 문자인식, 사전 후처리 -로 구성되어 있다. 문자 분리 모듈은 입력된 단어 영상을 하나의 문자보다 더 작은 이미지 조각으로 과다 분리하며 , 조합 행렬 생성모듈에서는 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 이용하여 분리된 이미지 조각들로부터 사전상의 모든 단어들과 대응되는 가능한 모든 조합을 생성한다. 문자인식모듈은 각 그룹에 대하여 일괄적으로 얻어진 특징과 유니그램을 이용하여 문자인식을 수행한다. 마지막으로 사전 후처리 모듈에서는 각 그룹에 대한 문자인식 결과와 단어 사전을 사용하여 입력단어에 대한 최종 인식 결과를 도출한다. 본 문에서 제안한 방법은 문자 분리, 문자 인식 및 후처리를 상호 보완적으로 결합함으로써 한글이 포함된 무제약 필기 문자열을 효과적으로 인식할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 실제 우편 봉투 상에 쓰여진 필기 한글 단어 200개를 대상으로 실험을 하였다. 실험 결과 200개의 단어중 172개의 단어를 정인식하여 86%의 정확도를 얻을 수 있었으며 나머지 28개의 오인식된 단어들을 분석한 결과 대부분의 오류는 문자 인식기의 낮은 신뢰도 때문임을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 하나의 단어를 인식하기 위하여 약 2초가 소요되었다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for the postprocessing of cursive script recognition in Wine Label Images. The proposed method mainly consists of three steps: combination matrix generation, character combination filtering, string matching. Firstly, the combination matrix generation step detects all possible combinations from a recognition result for each of the pieces. Secondly, the unnecessary information in the combination matrix is removed by comparing with bigram of word in the lexicon. Finally, string matching step decides the identity of result as a best matched word in the lexicon based on the levenshtein distance. An experimental result shows that the recognition accuracy is 85.8%.

Mesothermal Gold Mineralization in the Boseong-Jangheung area, Chollanamdo-province (전라남도 보성-장흥지역의 중열수 금광화작용)

  • Within the Boseong-Jangheung area of Korea, five hydrothermal gold (-silver) quartz vein deposits occur. They have the characteristic features as follows: the relatively gold-rich nature of e1ectrurns; the absence of Ag-Sb( -As) sulfosalt mineral; the massive and simple mineralogy of veins. They suggest that gold mineralization in this area is correlated with late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, mesothermal-type gold deposits in Korea. Fluid inclusion data show that fluid inclusions in stage I quartz of the mine area homogenize over a wide temperature range of 200$^{\circ}$ to 460$^{\circ}$C with salinities of 0.0 to 13.8 equiv. wt. % NaCI. The homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions in stage II calcite of the mine area ranges from 150$^{\circ}$ to 254$^{\circ}$C with salinities of 1.2 to 7.9 equiv. wt. % NaCI. This indicates a cooling of the hydrothermal fluid with time towards the waning of hydrothermal activity. Evidence of fluid boiling including CO2 effervescence indicates that pressures during entrapment of auriferous fluids in this area range up to 770 bars. Calculated sulfur isotope composition of auriferous fluids in this mine area (${\delta}^34S$_{{\Sigma}S}$$\textperthousand$) indicates an igneous source of sulfur in auriferous hydrothermal fluids. Within the Sobaegsan Massif, two representative mesothermal-type gold mine areas (Youngdong and Boseong-Jangheung areas) occur. The ${\delta}^34S values of sulfide minerals from Youngdong area range from -6.6 to 2.3$\textperthousand$ (average=-1.4$\textperthousand$, N=66), and those from BoseongJangheung area range from -0.7 to 3.6$\textperthousand$ (average=1.6$\textperthousand$, N=39). These i)34S values of both areas are comparatively lower than those of most Korean metallic ore deposits (3 to 7TEX>$\textperthousand$). And, within the Sobaegsan Massif, the ${\delta}^34S values of Youngdong area are lower than those of Boseong-Jangheung area. It is inferred that the difference of ${\delta}^34S values within the Sobaegsan Massif can be caused by either of the following mechanisms: (1) the presence of at least two distinct reservoirs (both igneous, with ${\delta}^34S values of < -6 $\textperthousand$ and 2$\pm$2 %0) for Jurassic mesothermal-type gold deposits in both areas; (2) different degrees of the mixing (assimilation) of 32S-enriched sulfur (possibly sulfur in Precambrian pelitic basement rocks) during the generation and/or subsequent ascent of magma; and/or (3) different degrees of the oxidation of an H2S-rich, magmatically derived sulfur source ${\delta}^34S = 2$\pm$2$\textperthousand$) during the ascent to mineralization sites. According to the observed differences in ore mineralogy (especially, iron-bearing ore minerals) and fluid inclusions of quartz from the mesothermal-type deposits in both areas, we conclude that pyrrhotite-rich, mesothermal-type deposits in the Youngdong area formed from higher temperatures and more reducing fluids than did pyrite(-arsenopyrite)-rich mesothermal-type deposits in the Boseong-Jangheung area. Therefore, we prefer the third mechanism than others because the ${\delta}^34S values of the Precambrian gneisses and Paleozoic sedimentary rocks occurring in both areas were not known to the present. In future, in order to elucidate the provenance of ore sulfur more systematically, we need to determine ${\delta}^34S values of the Precambrian metamorphic rocks and Paleozoic sedimentary rocks consisting the basement of the Korean Peninsula including the Sobaegsan Massif.

  • Experiments for lignin peroxidase production have been conducted by aerobic fermentation of Phanerochaete chrysosporium under low shear rate and enriched oxygen environment. The result of flask cultures of white rot fungus indicated that high oxygen concentration and low shear force were essential for enhancement of lignin peroxidase production. Pentachlorophenol was readily degraded by lignin peroxidase produced in nutrient limited flask cultures. Polyurethane foam was fond to be an effective immobilization matrix of P. chrysosporium.
