Analysis of the female character and modeling design features of 'Frozen 2' ('겨울왕국 2' 여성 캐릭터의 성격과 조형 디자인 특징 분석)

  • Disney animation can be said to be part of American culture and art. With the changes in American society and culture, we can see the changes in the personality and social status of female characters in Disney animation. Especially in the Disney animation works published after 2000, many works showing equality in the social abilities and status of women and men have been published. In this study, the characteristics of female characters of the 20th century and the 21st century is compared and analyzed the characters of Elsa and Anna, who expressed the female image in a metaphorical way of 'Frozen 2'. And studied the characteristics and meanings of clothing and colorful shapes. This paper reveals the design elements needed to construct a gender-equality image of female characters, and hopes that it will become a useful research material for the animation industry and academia in the future.

  • With the rapid development of display technology as well as the diversity of display, image quality assessment plays an important role in display color reproduction. The image quality has described by objective evaluation based on the physical measured data, such as contrast ratio, color reproduction range, color temperature, and gamma characteristics, etc., however, the final judgement is achieved by perceptual quality assessment of observers. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the relationship between physical performance of display and perceptual image quality. Thus, in order to evaluate objectively the color reproduction characteristics of two mobile displays, TFT-LCD and AMOLED, we measured the darkroom contrast ratio of full screen, luminance and color temperature of full-screen white, full-screen gray and color linearity, tone reproduction of color scales for each RGB primary, and color reproduction range. Then the pair-wise comparison is implemented for image experts and naive observers not only to judge their preference on principal evaluation attributes but also to subjectively describe perceived image quality. Through two evaluation processes, we derived the objective bases that can prove the results of subjective image quality assessment by interconnecting physical factors that have influence on observers' preference judgements. Finally, this paper provided important information for improving the image quality and increasing preference from an observer's point of view.

Genetic Expression of Color Approved by Color Qualities of Munsell System on the Cocoon of Silkworm, Bombyx mori (누에 고치색 유전자 발현의 다양성 검정 및 색채과학적 해석)

  • Color qualities investigated on the basis of Munsell code and Korean standard color code for the cocoons from various strain of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori. 16 of different color qualities were identified from 21 of original silworm strains, and determinated international name with the revision of Korean color name for cocoon. The various cocoon color confirmed on the sphere from 567 to 593 nm wavelength, 78% of those located at the region about 580 nm (575~584) of sensitive "color difference limen". Y gene engaged broad ranges of wavelength (575~593 nm) in the color expression, by contrast with other genes of Pk (593 nm), F (584~593), Grc and relative G group (567~570 nm), on the transmission of carotenoid or flavonoid color substance. YC gene expression by original silk worm strain was also distinguished by those variation of specific yellow than other colors from Grc, GaGb, Gc, and YPkF. Appearance of chrome yellow cocoon was dominant than other yellow in the cross among vivid yellow group. F1 of pin${\times}$green produced the cocoon of yellow such as "additive mixture" as color light, however, most of the hybrid between yellow cocoon showed the color similar to "subtractive mixture" as a mixture of dyestuff. Hybrid cocoons among yellow or green colors were decreased their hue, value, and chroma, than those of parent. Diallel cross among the strain of various green cocoon suggest the existence of Grc, Ga, Gb, Gc genes. Cream colored cocoon of B. mandarina was differed from other yellow cocoon of Bobyx mori B. mori. Y$^A$ with Ymc showed the similar role of Y with C, therefore, segregated yellow cocoon from the B. mori${\times}$B. mandarina (+$^YC/Y^AYmc$). YC expression of $Y^AY$mc genes might be suppressed by deficiency of outer layer sericin on the middle division of silk giand in the B. mandarina.

Influencing factors on the final color of laminate veneer restorations with various IPS Empress Esthetic$^{(R)}$ ingots (다양한 IPS Empress Esthetic$^{(R)}$ ingot으로 제작한 laminate veneer의 최종 색조에 대한 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to colorimetrically evaluate the masking effect of different opacity of ingots on the final shade of IPS Empress Esthetic$^{(R)}$ laminate veneer restorations using the CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ system. Materials and methods: Six porcelain disks of IPS Empress Esthetic$^{(R)}$ system (translucency: E 01, E 03, E 0C-1, E TC-1, E TC-2, E TC-3) were fabricated with 7 mm in diameter and 0.6 mm in thickness. Six extracted human incisors (shade: A1, A3, A4, B2, B3, C3) were used as the abutment specimens. The incisors were prepared using a diamond wheel and made with a flat labial surface on the middle 1/3. For each combination of different shades of abutments and copings, the change in color was measured with a colorimeter. CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ coordinates were recorded for each specimen. Color differences (${\Delta}E$) were calculated. Descriptive statistical analysis was done. Results: ${\Delta}E$ values were significantly affected by coping translucency and abutment shade (P<.05). The color differences (${\Delta}E$) of laminate veneers among abutments with A3, B3, C3, and A4 shade were mostly below 2.7 which was within the clinically acceptable range, while color differences between A4 and B2, A3 and B2, and A1 and A4 showed more than 2.7. Conclusion: The final color of IPS Empress Esthetic$^{(R)}$ laminate veneers were significantly influenced by translucency of the coping and shade of abutment teeth. The large value difference of abutment teeth limited the masking ability by laminate veneers.

A Comparative Study on the Discharge Measurement Methods at a Experimental Stream Downstream of Dam (댐 하류 시험하천에서의 유량 측정 방법간 비교)

  • 수자원의 계획과 관리를 위해 정확한 유량 측정은 무엇보다 중요하다. 이를 위해 다양한 유량 측정방법이 개발, 적용되고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 하천에 적용 가능한 다양한 유량 측정방법을 시험하천에 동시에 적용하여 유량 측정 방법간 비교를 목적으로 수행되었다. 비교를 위해 적용된 방법은 유속면적법, 부자법, ADCP법 등의 비연속적 방법과 기존 보를 이용한 방법, 초음파 유량계를 이용한 방법, 유속지수법, 실시간 경사면적법 등의 연속적 방법이다. 평저수기에 주로 적용될 수 있는 비연속적 방법인 유속면적법과 ADCP법의 비교에서는 유속면적법이 방류량 대비 평균 ${\pm}4.7%$의 오차를 가지며, ADCP법의 경우 ${\pm}4.6%$의 오차를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 비연속적 방법과 연속적 방법을 동시에 비교하기 위해 평저수 5회, 홍수 2회를 포함하는 총 7회의 동시 유량측정이 수행되었다. 유속면적법과 ADCP법은 부적절하게 적용된 경우를 제외하면 오차는 대체로 10% 이내로 나타났다. 부자법의 경우 홍수시에만 적용되었으나 오차가 방류량 대비 20% 이상으로 다소 크게 나타났다. 연속적 방법은 기존 보의 경우 개발된 수 위-유량 관계의 이하의 저유량에 적용할 경우 오차가 다소 크게 산정되었으나 그 이외에는 대체로 10% 이내의 오차를 나타내었으며, 일부 저수위의 유속지수법을 제외하면 연속적 방법은 모두 오차가 10% 이내로 조사되었다. 향후 보다 장기간에 걸쳐 다양한 유량 범위에서의 검증이 필요하지만, 시험하천에서의 유량 측정 방법간 비교는 국내 하천에 적용할 수 있는 다양한 방법의 적용성을 평가하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.향 범위는 최대 $0.07km^2$ 면적에 그 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 판단되어, 남조 수화현상이 심화될 경우 인공순환에 의한 저감효과가 크지는 않을 것으로 예측된다. 조사 기간중 H호의 현존 식물플랑크톤량의 $60%{\sim}87%$가 수심 10m 이내에 분포하였고, 녹조강과 남조강이 우점하는 하절기에는 5m 이내에 주로 분포하였다. 취수탑 지점의 수심이 연중 $25{\sim}35m$를 유지하는 H호의 경우 간헐식 폭기장치를 가동하는 기간은 물론 그 외 기간에도 취수구의 심도를 표층 10m 이하로 유지 할 경우 전체 조류 유입량을 60% 이상 저감할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.심볼 및 색채 디자인 등의 작업이 수반되어야 하며, 이들을 고려한 인터넷용 GIS기본도를 신규 제작한다. 상습침수지구와 관련된 각종 GIS데이타와 각 기관이 보유하고 있는 공공정보 가운데 공간정보와 연계되어야 하는 자료를 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서는 단계별 구축전략이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS를 이용하여 상습침수구역관련 정보를 검색, 처리 및 분석할 수 있는 상습침수 구역 종합정보화 시스템을 구축토록 하였다.N, 항목에서 보 상류가 높게 나타났으나, 철거되지 않은 검전보나 안양대교보에 비해 그 차이가 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다.의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략

Effect of Heat Treatment Conditions on Color Change and Termite Resistance of Heat-Treated Wood (열처리 조건이 목재의 색상 변화 및 흰개미 저항성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the color change of heat-treated wood made of Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis S. et Z.), and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta Dougl). The wood samples were heat-treated at 9 different treatment combinations of temperature (170, 180, 200, 220, and $230^{\circ}C$), and time (90, 120, 180, 240, 270 min.) set up by a response surface method. Wood color was measured using a colorimeter, and the samples were installed for evaluating the resistance of termite in the field test sites set up in Jinju. The lightness decreased with the increase of treatment temperature and treatment time. The color differences were evaluated by the method of National Bureau of Standards (NBS), and response surface models to predict the color change were fitted as a function of treatment temperature and treatment time. The $R^2$ values of the fitted models of heat-treated Korean pine and lodgepole pines were 0.92, and 0.88, respectively, showing the potential way for the prediction of color changes. Severe damage was found from the samples in the field test site, which means that the manufactured heat-treated wood did not show the termite resistance enough for the outdoor use.

Evaluation and Prediction of Color Changes of Sugar-Glycine Mixtures by Maillard Reaction (마이야르 반응에 의한 당과 글리신 혼합물의 색변화의 평가와 예측)

  • Color changes of a mixture of 0.8 M glucose, fructose or sucrose and 0.8 M glycine were evaluated by Hunter 'L', 'a', 'b' values during Maillard reaction at the temperature range of $70^{\circ}-100^{\circ}C$. The results suggested the reaction to be devided into three stages. In initial reaction the 'L' and 'a' values decreased slowely, and 'b' rapidly increased to maximum, which were followed by a rapid decrease in 'L' and 'b' and rapid increase in 'a' values at intermediate stage. At final reaction period the both 'L' and 'b' were slowed down in their reduction rate while 'a' decreased rapidly from its maximum point. All of the Hunter values were reached to nea. zero. Linear equations, which can be used for prediction of cole. change in Maillared reaction, of $1/\sqrt{(L_t-L_{\circ})^2\;+\;(a_t-a_{\circ})^2\;+\;(b_t-b_{\circ})^2}\;=\;a(1/t)\;+\;b$ for Hunter values and $1/\sqrt{X\;+\;Y\;+Z}\;=\;a(1/t)\;+\;b$ for CIE tristimulus values were found to have a very high correlation coefficient. Relationships between 'L' and 'a', 'L' and 'b' and 'a' and 'b' were also graphcally compared.

The Comparison of Color Perception between Korean and American undergrauates (한미 대학생의 색지각에 대한 비교연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the scope of standard color perception for Americans and to compare the differences in color perception between Korean and American undergraduates. Sixty male and fifty-one female American undergraduates were selected as a random sample. Color perception was tested with the naked eyes. Minolta Chroma Meter CR 300 was used for physical measurement of the color. Based on the objective of this study and the data generated the following results were drawn: 1) We found no distinctive difference in color perception by different eye colors. 2) Color perception of American undergraduates is largely classified into four different groups: simple group includes Yellow, Green, Blue, White, Gray, and Black, X(-axis)group includes Yellow Red, Y(-axis)group includes Blue Green, Purple, complex group includes Yellow Red, Purple Blue. 3) The differences in color perception between the two undergraduate groups were found to be significant with four colors: Yellow Red, Green, Blue, and Purple. 4) There is a wide difference between the values of standard color and inn percept color. When undergraduates in both countries were compared, it turned out that Korean students were more accurate than Americans in color perception. 5) American students perceived Red, Yellow, and Green colors relatively correctly, but showed an extremely low degree of accuracy in Blue and Purple Blue color perception.

  • This article describes the fear of infection through the Covid19 pandemic and the rapid phase change of human species with H. P. Lovecraft's fiction and "Project LC. RC". Pandemic and climate change, which can be called global weirding, fundamentally question the status and history of human species in the ecosystem. The horror creature and cosmological indifferentism in Lovecraft's weird fiction are contemporary in that they help shed light on today's global weirding. But Lovecraft's racism allows him to ask more fundamental questions about the logjam of his cosmic horror. "Project LC. RC" are a Korean writers's works of cultural variation that rewrites controversial racism and misogyny in Lovecraft's fiction. Such variation becomes the task of creating a mutation in Lovecraft as it becomes infected with the affection of Lovecraft's writing. This article first noted the creative power of Lovecraft's fiction that induces such a mutation. And under this premise, this article wanted to reveal the meaning of Lee Seo young, Eun rim, and Kim Bo young's recreates of Lovecraft's fiction through the analysis of images and motifs of abject, plant creature and symbiosis. Specifically, Lovecraft's creature, which evokes phallic fear, turns into an image of an abject embracing and comforting women's despair("I Want You to Stay Low"), a plant creature that provides women with refuge("Color in the Well"), and a creature of care and symbiotic life("A Sea of Plague"). This recreate/rewriting has contemporary significance in that it embodies values such as labor, care, and solidarity in their works. The conclusion noted another power of creative variation in Lovecraft's fiction, which is not reduced to recreate/rewriting.

  • The non-face-to-face environment accelerated by COVID-19 has speeded up the dissemination of digital virtual ecosystems and metaverse. In order for the metaverse to be sustainable, digital twins that are compatible with the real world are key, and critical technology for that is AR (Augmented Reality). In this study, we examined research trends about AR, and will propose the directions for future AR research. We conducted LDA based topic modeling on 11,049 abstracts of published domestic and foreign AR related papers from 2009 to Mar 2022, and then looked into AR that was comprehensive research trends, comparison of domestic and foreign research trends, and research trends before and after the popularity of metaverse concepts. As a result, the topics of AR related research were deduced from 11 topics such as device, network communication, surgery, digital twin, education, serious game, camera/vision, color application, therapy, location accuracy, and interface design. After popularity of metaverse, 6 topics were deduced such as camera/vision, training, digital twin, surgical/surgical, interaction performance, and network communication. We will expect, through this study, to encourage active research on metaverse AR with convergent characteristics in multidisciplinary fields and contribute to giving useful implications to practitioners.
