Impacts of Relationship Benefits on Relationship Learning and Cooperation of Buyer-Seller in Food Material Industries (식자재 구매자-판매자의 관계편익이 관계학습 및 협력에 미치는 영향)

  • Relationship learning is very important to grow and develop interorganization. Greatly to ours regret, relationship learning study have left unexplored with regard to interfirm's relationship. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of relationship benefits on relationship learning and cooperation of buyer-seller in food material industries. We collected statistically usable data from 228 questionnaire respondents who deal with food firms and analyzed them with SPSS 20.0 and Amos to achieve research's goals. Analysis results revealed that, first, relational benefits of economical benefits and psychological benefit had impacts on relationship learning between buyer and seller in food material channel market. Second, the survey found that relationship learning has impact on collaboration. Third, on the other hand, relationship benefits of social benefits had no effect relationship learning. Summary and strategy implication will be mention in conclusion.

A Study on the Meaning of 'House' in Chi Li' s Novel (츠리(池莉) 소설에 나타난 '집'의 의미 고찰)

  • This paper examines how 'house' is meaningful in Chi Li's novel. Chi Li focuses on the house as a symbol of status, and the house as a place of gender performance. First, as a sign that symbolizes an individual's identity, 'house' is divided into intellectual and petit bourgeois, and constitutes binarism into civilization/non-civilization, knowledge/non-knowledge, spirit/anti-spirit and superior/inferior. In recognizing the irrationality and unfairness behind house symbolizing intellectual and petit bourgeois, Chi Li shatters the boundaries of the binaralized house as a sign of identity. Second, it dismantles the house as a place where gender is (re)produced. This is accomplished through two aspects. One is to re-define a private area house as a public area in which economic activity occurs. The house, as a public area in which economic activity occurs, becomes a place where women are reborn as economic entities. Passive, dependent femininity is reconstructed as independent and subjective. The other dismantles the definition of the house which is identified with masculinity. The house identified with masculinity is a place that symbolizes the socio-economic capacity of men. According to the socio-economic ability of males, the house is a place symbolizing the realization of masculinity, and it becomes a place to fix the gender order while reproducing masculinity. It may become a place to experience the weakening or defamation of masculinity. At that moment, the house becomes a place where the gender order of masculinity and femininity is overturned. Through this, Chi Li reconstructed, and in a sense revolutionized the definition of the house as a place where traditional gender is (re) produced by dismantling the definition of fixed femininity or masculinity.

A Consideration about the funeral Supplies for Carriage in the late of Joseon Period (조선 후기 국장용 운반 상구고(喪具考))

  • The chief mourners do their best to carry the dead and various things related to him in the departure of a funeral procession. "Sejongsillok" and "Gukjooryeui" had already written the national funeral supplies for carriage in detail in the early of Joseon period. But they were the standard book of national ceremony. The Ilbang of Gukjangdogam made the national funeral supplies for carriage in the late of Joseon; Daeyeo, Gyeonyeo, Yoyeo, Chaeyeo, Gaja etc. "Gukjangdogamuigye" explained these in detail; size, materials, made-place etc. I used "Gukjangdogamuigye" published in the late of Joseon to explain the national funeral supplies for carriage. Because Kingdom's ceremony in Joseon was representative to the country, it couldn't depend on an individual taste. King was the symbol of a nation and the star tin point of the political power at that time. So its ceremony was to show people the representative example as a national ceremony. The national funeral supplies for carriage carried the dead of King and various things related to him. Gukjangdogam managed them carefully. People thought that the mean of these things was equal to King's authority at that time. So these weren't the mere national funeral supplies for carriage, the symbolic instruments equal to King.

A study on the Red Painting of stone monuments (비석(碑石)에 칠해진 주사(朱砂)안료에 관한 연구)

  • Red ocher, red lead or cinnabar has been as red colorant for ages. Cinnabar of the red pigments has been highly regarded as a valuable ingredient because it represent a symbol of exorcising and a haute image. It was used as a pigment of painting and mural painting, bowl, clothes, rock writing, gravestone, etc. It is powder which dissolves in perilla oil or glue before using. Because it is high-priced, the use of cinnabar may be limited to the privileged class. Therefore, red ocher or red lead was used instead of cinnabar. "Gongsagyunmunrok" demonstrated that government official's gravestonea has been painted red by two colorants in the period of the Goryeo dynasty. However, cinnabar may be used to paint gravestones for the first time in the period of the Three States because it has been transmitted since the times. This study discuss the results obtained from an analysis of the pigments used on the red pigments of the Stone Monuments. The results can be briefly summarized as below; First, the microcrystalline structures seen on the surface section of analyzed pigments, samples of which were taken from various parts of red pigments show that different sizes and shapes of pigment particle. Second, a result of the analysis on the composition and structure of the pigments shows that the main components in their composition are : Red pigments - Red lead($Pb_3O_4$), Cinnabar(HgS) and Hematite($Fe_2O_3$) White pigments - Calcite($CaCO_3$) Especially, we knew that red Stone Monuments were found to be natural mineral pigments, which were used as a singular or a mixture.

Comparative Study on the Shape and Symbolism of Flowered-Wall in Tradition Private Houses and Temples - Focusing on the Designated Cultural Properties of Jeollabuk-do Province - (전통민가와 사찰에 나타난 꽃담의 형태와 상징성 연구 - 전라북도 문화재를 중심으로 -)

  • A 'flowered-wall,' which are also called a 'flower plant patterned wall,' or a 'flower patterned wall,' is a wall of a building or a fence with various patterns on it. A flowered-wall can be an external mean to look into the owner's authority and values while internally it possesses the symbolic meaning of wishing the well-being and peace of the household. In the research area of the flowered-wall, the walls located in the palace were well researched in various studies across architecture, horticulture, and art design, however, the walls belonging to the local regional traditional folk houses and temples have been involved in little to no research in the landscape architectural area. Taking notice of this perspective this study researched and analyzed the cases of the flowered-walls of the traditional folk houses and the temples that belonged to the national and municipal cultural properties of Jeollabuk-do Province from the landscape architectural perspective. The whole samples were examined and it was shown that there were 9 traditional folk houses with flowered-walls. Among the temples there were 7 cases. Therefore the research focusing on tracing the shape and symbolic meaning of the flowered-walls in the 16 cultural properties located in the Jeollabuk-do Province which consisted of traditional folk houses and temples resulted in the following. Flowered-walls displayed hierarchical differentiation revolving around the main space and its spacial characteristic. This differentiation is variously displayed across the flowered-wall, gable, crack plastering, and chimney. In the case of the folk houses the symbols have the meaning of the prosperity of the household and progeny, exorcism, longevity, number of fortune, harmony, and peace etc that prays for practical wishes such as long life and good health with the prosperity of their descendants. Meanwhile in the temples, symbols indicating an easy passage into eternity, perpetuation of the Buddha-nature, and three marks of existence are applied, differentiating from the folk houses by the appliance of the religious values in the patterns. In conclusion this research resulted in the rightful illumination on the local landscape culture, the possibility of expressing the Korean sentiment through flowered-walls in the contemporary space, the reassessment of flowered-walls, and the provision of basic data for a plan to success the cultural heritage.

Status and Preservation of Cultural Relics in the Demilitarized Zone (비무장지대(DMZ) 문화유적 현황과 보전방안)

  • There are 35 cultural properties of fourteen kinds in the Demilitarized Zone known so far, but this number is expected to increase in the future. Among them, Cheolwon-Doseong and Jeongol-Chong of Gimhwa should be the first step toward conservation efforts by conducting a joint investigation through the collaboration of North and South Korea. In particular, the joint investigation of Cheolwon-Doseong will not only remind the North and South that they are the same people who have had common history and cultural traditions for a long time, but will also give symbolic meaning to convert the demilitarized zone into a stage for peace. Since Jeongol-Chong is a mass grave of the fallen soldiers of Pyeongan Province who fought against the invasion of the Qing of China, it should be managed as a national designated cultural asset through joint investigation. In addition, the Demilitarized Zone should become a World Heritage Site because of its importance to the legacy of the Korean War, an international war caused by an ideological confrontation. Furthermore, it has more than 6,000 kinds of temperate forests in addition to 100 species of endangered species and natural monuments. The DMZ is very qualified to be a World Natural Heritage Site, and should be included as a World Complex Cultural Heritage Site that qualifies as a World Heritage and World Natural Heritage Site. In the Demilitarized Zone, we can also find numerous highlands, tunnels and posts used during the Korean War, as well as surveillance posts, a military demarcation line, barbed wire fences, and Panmunjom, which were created by the armistice agreement. it would be desirable to select some of its sections and war facilities and to register them as modern cultural heritage assets. Finally, it is necessary to reconstruct the Dorasan Signal Fire Site, which was the communication facility of a traditional era which connected the South (Dorasan) and North (Gaesong). This would symbolize smooth communication between the two Koreas. In order to prepare for the reckless development of the Demilitarized Zone due to the upcoming cease-fire, the government and cultural asset experts will have to work hard to identify and preserve the cultural properties of the Demilitarized Zone, and they will also have to maintain consistent control over matters such as indiscriminate investigation and mine clearance.

On the Origin and Development of Iconography of the Twelve Zodiac Signs of Royal Tombs of Joseon Dynasty (조선왕릉 십이지신상(十二支神像)의 도상(圖像) 원류와 전개 과정)

  • Royal tombs of Joseon dynasty are the crystallization of history, ideology, culture, art, architecture, and ritual ceremony of Joseon dynasty, all mingled in one. So, they are very significant symbols showing 500 years of dynastic history as a whole. Among various factors comprising a royal tomb, stone figures surrounding grave mound are special factors as a symbol protecting it. Further among them, twelve zodiac images arrayed nearest to the grave mound represent the core of the function. Images of twelve zodiac signs originated from the tombs of the Unified Silla Kingdom are certain to hold important role and position in the construction of royal tombs, judging from huge scale and excellent sculptural art of them. However, both their scale and form had been gradually simplified in Goryeo and Joseon dynasty, thus the importance of them has been underestimated compared to other stone figures Images of twelve zodiac signs were very important factors which decorated royal tombs both as a protective role and as a concept of direction. Their historicity and symbolism cannot be neglected in that they had been transmitted to the royal tombs of Joseon dynasty. In this paper, images of twelve zodiac signs expressed in the royal tombs of Joseon dynasty are classified into 3 forms, and reviewed the origin and development of them for each period. They could be classified into 3 forms ; civil vassals with human body and head, civil vassals with human body and head wearing hat decorated with zodiac animals, Chinese characters of either zodiac signs or either a combination of 10 calendar signs and 8 trigrams. The above 3 forms originated from China and became a favorite motif to decorate the royal tombs from early Joseon period until late Joseon by replacing each other and thus changing along the course of the dynasty. In the meantime, we can see a unique character in the images of twelve zodiac signs of royal tombs of Joseon dynasty. In some cases, 24 directions are expressed in which 10 calender signs and 8 trigrams are composed altogether. Images of twelve zodiac signs in the royal bombs of Joseon dynasty are very significant as evidences by which we can confirm uniqueness and tradition of Korean tomb system transmitted from Unified Silla period.

  • The objective of HyundaiCard is to study its differentiated marketing strategy based on consumer lifestyle. HyundaiCard M as late follower in card market must do creative strategy to catch-up pioneer and early follower. But existing HyundaiCard M has a few problems that are its weak service package, marketing communication, less efficient channel, and low brand awareness. To cover these strategic problems this company formulated "M" remarketing strategy and implemented these tactics: segmenting customer based on lifestyle and doing alphabet marketing. Alphabet marketing means differentiated marketing named S, T, U, A, K based on consumer lifestyle.

  • The appreciation of cultural properties related with what the aspects of society was is mandatory to understand our culture correctly. To make over all cultural properties to our descendants without breakage or damage is our natural duty and national obligation. On the contrary, inhabitants in the preserved area should be restricted and controlled by the cultural property law. The conflict between the inhabitants in the preserved area and the government raises economical problems and damages all the time. Especially it is time to discuss to mediate between them and solve the problems. This feasible study is a proposal to settle them up through renovating abolished school in the preserve area to the museum and a case to preserve the cultual properties as well as habitant's assets in that area.

  • Teshima is a quiet and beautiful island, but started to be imaged as an "island of wastes" because of the 600,000 tons of industrial wastes thrown there illegally. Now it symbolizes the problem of industrial wastes in Japan. Teshima development company, an industrial waste disposer, started to dispose industrial wastes illegally in the west side of the island, since the late 1970s. Police Station exposed this illegal act, and arrested 6 persons of the company, including its president, in charge of having violated the Waste Disposal and Public Cleansing Law in 1991. This illegal disposition has continued for 13years until it was exposed by the police. Teshima case of industrial wastes are introduced in this paper.
