Analysis of Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Traffic Accidents in Jinju (진주시 교통사고의 시계열적 공간분포특성 분석)

  • Since changes in land use in urban space cause traffic volume and it is closely related to traffic accidents. Therefore, an analysis on the causes of traffic accidents is judged to be an essential factor to establish the measure to reduce traffic accidents. In this regard, the analysis was conducted on the clustering by using the nearest neighbor indexes with regard to the occurrence frequencies of commercial and residential zone based on traffic accident data of the past five years (2009-2013) with the target of local small-medium sized city, Jinju-si. The analysis results, obtained in this study, are as follows: the occurrence frequency of traffic accidents was the highest in spring and the lowest in winter respectively. The clustering of traffic accident occurrence at nighttime was stronger than at daytime. In addition, terms of the analysis on the clustering of traffic accident according to land use, changes according to the seasons was not significant in commercial areas, while clustering density in winter tended to become significantly lower in residential areas. The analysis results of traffic accident types showed that the side-right angle collision of cars was the highest in frequency occurrence, and widespread in both commercial areas and residential areas. These results can provide us with important information to identify the occurrence pattern of traffic accidents in the structure of urban space, and it is expected that they will be appropriately utilized to establish measures to reduce traffic accidents.

A Study on the correlation between a streetscape image and a signboard density - Focused on roadside buildings occupation density of signboard in the business area - (가로경관이미지와 간판밀도와의 상관관계에 관한 연구 - 상업지역 연도건물의 간판 점유밀도를 중심으로 -)

  • The street image in a business area is so much affected by Facade that the front side of a roadside building makes. Recently, for the indiscreet and intemperate advertising signboard of the front side of roadside buildings, a streetscape becomes more disordered than before, so now we need to do research about signboards of roadside buildings for a streetscape image. In this research, we focused on a streetscape with difference of occupation density of signboard in the business area via investigation and analysis about occupation density of signboards of the front side of roadside buildings, and we suggested optimum occupation density of signboards for supporting the road image positively. An object of research is the street in the business area that has many pedestrians and active passing zone of cars. We investigated and analyzed how to feel street images on the rate of occupation density of roadside building's signboards of in the chosen street. As a result of using an adjective that we use for estimating street view images for extraction of street images, we could know 2 factors. We named that one is the image of recognition, and the other is the image of feelings. We knew that signboard density of street of heavily recognized images is from 20% to 30% and, signboard density of street of heavily feeling images is from 50% to 60%. We also could know that people feel both images of recognition and images of feeling in specific density, 30 to 50%. Through this result of research, we can suggest Facade on signboard density with the recognition and the feeling and use images of the street view as materials to be more specific and more special.

What Factors Contribute to the Entry of Foreign Investors to Chinese Commercial Banks? (외국인투자자의 중국상업은행 투자결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • This paper examines what factors contribute to the entry of foreign investors to Chinese commercial banks from 1996 to 2008. Empirical results show that using survival analysis, size, liquidity ratio and non-interest incomes are important to foreign investors. This indicates that as Chinese banking system opened, foreign investors invest in bigger but financially weak banks. For Joint-Stock commercial banks, foreign investors invest in banks whose asset qualities and non-interest incomes are low. But for City commercial banks, foreign investors invest in banks that are big but have low liquidity ratios. This results indicate that because City commercial banks operate in only one city, foreign investors require minimum bank size to operate in that city.

An Analysis of Locational Characteristics and User Behavior of Neighborhood Parks in Central Business District (중심상업지역 근린공원의 공간적 입지특성과 이용행태 분석)

  • The user behaviors in the parks around the commercial area may have different characteristics in comparison with the behaviors in typical neighborhood parks because they may be affected by nearby commercial facilities. The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of park users'behavior considering adjacent environments in the neighborhood parks located in central business district of Daegu and to suggest improvements and complements for the construction of new parks and remodeling current parks. According to the results, the land values were high and the percentage of deteriorated buildings was low around Gukchae Reward Movement Memorial Park and 2.28 Central Memorial Park. However, the commercial facilities were entirely declined along with a drop in land values around Gyeongsang-gamyeong Park and old people used this park more than young people. In terms of the purpose of park use, users of three parks had indirect behavior patterns related near commercial facilities rather than using directly park facilities and the age groups of park users were similar to the user groups of nearby commercial facilities. Also, the determinant factors of satisfaction with park use were varied depending on the difference of age groups of park users and park characteristics. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the effects of user age groups according to the changes of environment around parks for the construction and organization of parks.

  • 도시의 옥외광고는 정보전달매체로서의 역할 뿐만 아니라 그 시각적 표현은 도시미관을 형성 하는 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 따라서 현대의 간판은 한 지역의 사회적 문화적 수준을 판가름하는 척도로 인식될 만큼 그 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 또한 도시환경 속에서의 간판은 시민들이 항상 접하고 있는, 시민들의 삶의 질에 밀접하게 연관되어 있다. 간판은 이제 상점을 홍보하는 단순한 사물이 아니라 건물과 가로수, 광고의 내용물, 도시 시민들과의 유기적인 조화를 고려하여 만들어야 하는 도시환경구성의 주요 요소로서 접근해야 한다. 따라서, 부분적 요소인 간판을 통해 도시 미관과 환경을 효율적으로 조율하여 쾌적한 도시환경을 조성해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 중국, 장춘시 상업지역을 중심으로 사인보드의 실태를 수집분석하고 그에 따른 문제점을 연구하고 개선방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.

A Study on the Specific Character of Tourist-commercial District around Gosu - Cave (고수동굴 주변 관광상업지역의 특성)

  • 고수동굴이 1973년의 종합학술조사 이래 관광지로서 개발된 이후에 동굴 주변의 상업지역이 어떤 특성을 갖고 있는가를 살피는 것이 본 연구의 목적이었다. 이를 위해 1996년 6월 11일 고수동굴 주변의 상점 46개의 경영주를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 전체 상점 중 절반 이상을 차지하는 25개 업소들이 80년대에 개업하였고 90년 이후에 19개 업소가 상점을 개설했다. 둘째, 상점 경영 동기로는 고수동굴을 찾는 관광객이 많아 수익성이 높을 것으로 예상되어 상점을 개점했다는 경우가 절반 정도(47.8%)에 해당하고, 내 고향 자랑과 지역발전의 일환으로 개점한 경우와 관광사업 발전을 위해 개점한 경우가 20% 내외였다. 셋째, 고수동굴 주변 상점의 경영주들은 일반사업을 하다가 전직한 경우가 가장 많았고, 관광사업, 오락장 등을 포함하면 상업 종사자들이 전체의 48% 정도에 해당하여 상업관련 종사자들의 전업이 가장 많았다. 넷째, 상점의 규모는 90년대에 개업한 상점일수록 규모가 커지고 있고, 이것은 경영주를 제외한 종업원의 운영과도 관계가 있어 상점 규모가 클수록 종업원이 더 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 경영주의 학력은 고졸 이상의 고학력자들이 상점을 운영하는 경우가 많아지고 있어, 고수동굴만의 특성을 나타낼 것으로 기대된다. 여섯째, 상점의 업종을 구분한 결과 기념품점과 식당이 각각 37.0%, 34.8%로 많은 비중을 차지하고 있지만, 고수동굴이 다른 관광명소와 색다른 특성이 없어 관광객들의 구매욕구를 완전히 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 마지막으로, 대부분의 상점들(80.4%)이 일자리와 주거를 구분하고 있는 것으로 조사되었으나, 아직까지 절반 가량(52.2%)의 상점들이 다른 사람 소유의 건물을 전 ·월세로 임대하여 사용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 고수동굴 주변의 상업적 특성은 90년대에 들어서면서 자기 고장에 있는 관광자원을 내 고향의 자랑거리로 생각하고 이를 지역발전의 밑거름으로 활용하고자 하는 인식이 늘어나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, 관광지로서의 특성이라 할 수 있는 다른 관광동굴과의 차별성이 부족하다고 할 수 있다. 즉 다른 지역의 기념품점에서 구입할 수 없는 고수동굴만이 갖고 있는 특징적인 기념품을 판매함으로써 관광객의 구매욕구를 높인다거나 고수동굴의 일주관광 후 관광객을 좀 더 머무르게 할 수 있는 시설의 개발이 더 필요하다.

Heavy Metal Contamination of Feral Pigeons Columba livia by Habitat in Seoul (서울지역 집비둘기 Columba livia의 서식지별 중금속 오염)

  • Some Feral Pigeons Columba livia were collected in commercial, industrial, park and resident areas of Seoul and heavy metal concentrations in their liver, kidney, bone and muscle tissues were measured to compare the levels of exposure by habitats. Statistical analyses showed some differences in the levels of heavy metals among these habitats. The levels of iron in liver and zinc in kidney were lower in resident area than in the other ones. Manganese and copper levels in all tissues were the highest in industrial area and park area, respectively. Lead bone level in resident area was the lowest, while that in commercial area was the highest. Cadmium level in kidney was higher in park area than in the other areas. Of these results, the levels of iron, zinc and lead in some tissues were related to traffic density in each habitats.

Determination of the number of storm events monitoring considering urban stormwater runoff characteristics (도시지역의 강우유출수 특성 분석을 통한 적정모니터링 횟수 도출)

  • This study investigated the runoff characteristics containing NPS pollutants in urban areas and estimated the optimal number of storm events to be monitored. 13 residential areas, 8 commercial areas, 9 transportation areas and 11 industrial areas were selected to be monitored located in urban areas. Monitoring was performed from 2008 to 2016 with a total of 632 rainfall events. As a result, it was found that commercial area needs priority NPS management compared to other landuses because the commercial area has high runoff coefficient and NPS pollutant EMC compared with other landuses. The annual monitoring frequency for each landuse was estimated to be 11 to 14 times for industrial area, 12 to 14 times for transportation area, 11 to 13 times for commercial area and 22 to 25 times for residential area. Even with the use of accumulated monitoring data for several years, there is still high probability of uncertainty due to high error in some pollutant items, and it is necessary to establish monitoring know-how and data accumulation to reduce errors by continuous monitoring.

  • 1970년도의 서울시 대기오염을 조사하기 위해서 광화문을 기점으로 하여 4km$^{2}$를 1구획으로한 164개 구획으로 한 164개 구획중 25개 지점을 조사지점(Fig.1)으로 하여 SO$_{2}$, SO$_{3}$및 분진을 시험한 성적은 Table II~Table III과 같으며 이들 25개 지점을 도시의 용도별, 지역별로 구분하여, 공업지역 4개지점, 상업지역 5개지점, 주택지역 13개지점, 녹지지역 3개지점으로 구분하여 고찰하였다.

Characteristics of PM10 concentration at seashore and inland according to land-use in Busan (부산지역 지역용도별 해안과 내륙의 PM10 농도 특성)

  • This study was conducted to consider the characteristics of PM10(particulate matter with aerodynamic diameters less than 10 ${\mu}m$) concentration according to land-use in Busan coastal area. Fine particle is affected by emissions, geographical conditions and meteorological factors. In case industrial area, Gamjeondong(inland) PM10 concentration was higher than Noksandong(seashore) at all season except for Summer. Primary peak at Gamjeondong cleared than Noksandong in Fall and Winter. In case green area, Daejeodong(inland) PM10 concentration was higher than Dongsamdong(seashore) at all seasons. In case commercial area, primary peak occurrence time at Jeonpodong lagged one hour according to season and diurnal change of PM10 concentration at Gwangbokdong was higher than Jeonpodong in Spring. In case residential area, high PM10 concentration(80~90 ${\mu}g/m^3$) lasted for six hours during the daytime in Spring at Deogcheondong and Yongsuri(inland).
