Calculation of Creep Coefficient for Concrete Structures Applying Time Step Analysis for Relative Humidity and Temperature (상대습도 및 온도에 대한 시간 단계 해석을 적용한 콘크리트 구조의 크리프계수 산정 )

  • As part of a study to analyze the excessive camber occurring in prestressed concrete railway bridges, this paper presents a calculation method and analysis results for the creep coefficient which defines the increase in camber of a concrete structure over time. Using the creep coefficient formula of the design code, the coefficient is obtained by applying the climatic conditions (relative humidity and temperature) of 12 regions in Korea. The effects of differences in climatic conditions by region and starting time of load on the creep coefficient are analyzed. In order to properly calculate the creep, most of which occurs in the early stages of loading, a detailed analysis is performed by applying a time step analysis method to consider varying climate conditions through loaded period. The creep coefficient obtained by applying the average climate conditions of the region is similar to the average of the creep coefficients obtained by time step analysis. Through time step analysis, it is shown that the offset and overlap effects of relative humidity and temperature on the creep coefficient and the climate effect at the time of initial loading can be appropriately represented.

Wave Overtopping Formula for Vertical Structure Including Effects of Wave Period : Non-breaking Conditions (주기영향을 고려한 직립식 구조물의 월파량 산정 : 비쇄파조건)

  • Two-dimensional hydraulic experiments for wave overtopping under non-breaking wave condition are conducted. The wave overtopping formula for vertical structure is suggested and the results are compared with EurOtop (2007). The relative water depth coefficient (${\gamma}_{kh}$) shows that almost the same coefficient is obtained for certain range (kh > 1.55) regardless of relative water depth, that is, although the relative water depth becomes larger, the relative water depth coefficient is almost same. When the wave steepness becomes larger the wave steepness coefficient decreases. The overtopping formula are expressed by relative freeboard(R) and non-dimensional wave overtopping rate(Q) and this formula has the form of exponential function. In this formula, the effects of wave period on wave overtopping are quantitatively investigated and suggested through the relative water depth coefficient(${\gamma}_{kh}$) and wave steepness coefficient(${\gamma}_s$).

  • Two-dimensional laboratory experiments were conducted in a wave flume to investigate the wave transmission phenomena of rubble-mound type submerged structures armored with Tetrapods. Different experimental conditions were included by considering relative crest depth, relative freeboard, relative crest width, wave steepness, and so on. An empirical formula was proposed to predict the wave transmission coefficients over various specifications and structural designs of the partial perforated (rubble-mound) type submerged structure from the experimental results. The proposed formula successfully predicted the wave transmission coefficients. In this study, the proposed empirical formula of the wave transmission over the rubble-mound type submerged structure was improved from the existing formula.

재생아스팔트 포장의 구조설계 기술

  • 포장구조체에서 요구되는 강도를 갖게 하는 구조 설계의 방법은 경험적 절차부터 반역학적 절차까지 발전되어 왔다. 재생 가열아스팔트혼합물이 기존의 가열아스팔트혼합물(HMA)과 비교하여 비슷하거나 때에 따라 더 좋은 성능을 가져오므로, AASHTO설계지침서에서는 본질적으로 재생(recycled) HMA 재료와 신생(virgin) HMA 재료간의 차이가 없다고 기술하고 있으며, 기존 HMA 재료에 사용되는 덧씌우기설계법의 구조회복 분석방법(structural rehabilitation analysis method)을 재생포장설계에도 권장하고 있다. 재생 가열아스팔트의 설계를 위한 AASHTO 방법은 설계교통량, 교통량 및 수행능력예측의 신뢰수준, 공용기간, 그리고 포장상태 평가지수에 의하여 결정된 포장구조체에서 요구되는 포장두께지수(SN)에 기초한다. 포장두께지수(SN)는 포장층 두께, 상대강도계수, 각 층의 배수조건들의 곱의 조합으로서 나타내어질 수 있다. 덧씌우기로 간주될 수 있는 재생된 층의 포장두께지수(SN)는 기존 포장에서의 포장두께지수와 보강된 포장에서 요구되는 포장두께지수의 차이에 의하여 계산되어질 수 있다. 상대강도계수의 값은 AASHTO 설계지침에 명시되어 있다. AI 방법은 교통량, 노상의 회복탄성계수, 그리고 설계두께를 계산하기 위한 표층과 기층의 종류를 사용한다. 이 방법은 재생된 가열혼합물질과 기존의 가열혼합물질과는 거의 비슷한 성능을 나타낸다고 본다. 또다른 AI 방법에 의하면 재생된 층은 덧씌우기층이라고 간주하고, 현재의 포장두께와 요구되어지는 포장두께 사이의 차를 이용하여 재생될 층의 두께를 산정한다. 소요되는 덧씌우기 두께는 포장의 현장 상태지수(condition rating)와 각 종류에 따른 포장체와 포장재료가 아스팔트 콘크리트층의 등가두께로 전환되어 나타나는 방법에 근거하여 결정될 수 있다. 또 다른 방법은 포장체 각 층의 물성과 하중을 이용한 컴퓨터 프로그램에 의하여 산정된 하중-변형 응답에 의한 설계 방법을 포함한다. 이런 방법들에서는 포장체는 탄성이나 점탄성층 위에서 탄성이나 점탄성 거동을 보인다고 가정한다. 재생 상온혼합물에서의 AASHTO 설계 방법은 가열혼합물의 설계방법과 유사하다. 그러나, 재생 상온혼합물에서의 상대강도계수는 시공방법에 좌우되므로, 기술자의 판단을 근거로 하여 결정되어져야 한다. AI방법에서는 포장구조체를 다층탄성구조라고 보고, 노상의 강도와 설계 교통량을 근거로 요구되는 포장두께를 결정한다. 재생 상온혼합물 기층의 두께는 재생 상온혼합물 기충 위에서 가열아스팔혼합물에 대하여 산정된 덧씌우기 두께를 이용하여 결정할 수 있다. 아스팔트 표면의 재생은 기존 포장의 구조적 능력을 정상적으로 개선할 수 없으므로, 표면 재생의 두께를 설계하는 방법은 없다. 그러나, 임의의 덧씌우기 두께는 기존의 덧씌우기 설계법에 기초하여 산정 할 수 있다. 만약 덧씌우기가 승차감만을 개선시킨다고 여겨진다면, 혼합물에서 사용되어지는 최대 골재 크기에 기초한 최소 두께를 결정할 수 있다.

반복다중최적화모형(IMO)을 이용한 탄소세의 가격효과 분석

  • 본 논문은 전통적인 산업연관분석이 고정투입계수를 시용하고 있어서 상대가격체계의 변화에 따른 경제 주체들의 비용최소화 노력을 모형 내에 반영하지 못하고 있다는 한계를 극복하기 위하여 상대가격체계의 변화에 따라 가변투입계수를 갖는 "반복다중최적화(IMO) 모형"을 이용하여 탄소세 부과가 가격구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 고정투입계수모형에 비하여 가격인상효과는 전반적으로 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 에너지집약산업은 고정투입계수모형에 비하여 가격상승률이 낮게 나타난 반면, 기타산업은 가격상승폭이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 에너지원에 대한 탄소세의 부과효과가 상대가격변화에 적응한 경제주체들의 비용최소화 노력으로 각 산업으로 분산된 결과라 여겨진다.

Elastic Modulus and Layer Coefficient of Permeable Block Pavements Based on Plate Load Tests (평판재하시험을 통한 투수 블록포장의 탄성계수 및 상대강도계수 산정)

  • Permeable block pavement systems are widely used to relieve the flood and enhance water circulation. However, domestic design method has not yet been established well. Although AASHTO 93 flexible pavement design method is applied as a structural design method outside the country, there is a lack of information on layer coefficient of the permeable pavement materials, which makes it difficult to apply the design to various materials. Therefore, in this study, a method of calculating the layer coefficient of permeable block pavement materials by plate load test was presented and the layer coefficient of a permeable block pavement in a testbed was evaluated. Overall, calculated layer coefficient of open graded aggregate and permeable block pavement surface layer were similar to those of the conventional values. The presented method may be used to evaluate layer coefficients of permeable block pavements for design.

A Study on the Strength and Stiffness of Multi-Stage Cubic Truss Unit Structures (복합 입체형 정육면체 트러스 단위구조체의 강도 및 강성에 대한 해석 연구)

  • This paper investigated the strength and stiffness of composite truss unit structures. The model used is a core-filled model combining the Kagome model and the cube truss model. The material properties used for the analysis are 304 stainless steel with elastic modulus of 193 GPa and yield stress of 215 MPa. The theoretical equation is derived from the relative elasticity relation of Gibson - Ashby ratio, the analysis was performed using Deform 3D, a commercial tool. In conclusion, the relative elasticity for this unit model correlates with 1.25 times the relative density and constant coefficient, elasticity is inversely proportional to pore size. The relative compressive strength has a correlation with relative density of 1.25 times. Proof of this is a real experiment, the derived theoretical relationship should further consider mechanical behavior such as bending and buckling. In the future, it is hoped that the research on the elasticity and the stress according to the structure of the three-dimensional space will be continued.

Influence of Relative humidity on the CO2 Diffusion Coefficient in Concrete (콘크리트 중의 이산화탄소 확산계수에 대한 상대습도 영향 연구)

  • The carbonation of concrete is one of the major factors that cause durability problems in concrete structures. The rate of carbonation depends largely upon the diffusivity of carbon dioxide in concrete. The purpose of this study is to identify the diffusion coefficients of carbon dioxide for various concrete mixtures. To this end, several series of tests have been planned and conducted. The test results indicate that the diffusion of carbon dioxide reached the steady-state within about five hours after exposure. The diffusion coefficient increases with the increase of water-cement ratio and decreases with the increase of relative humidity at the same water-cement ratio. The content of aggregates also influences the diffusivity of carbon dioxide in concrete. It was found that the diffusion coefficient of cement paste is larger than that of concrete or mortar. The experimental study of carbon dioxide diffusivity in this study will allow more realistic assessment of carbonation depth in concrete structures.

  • An extensive effort is actively being made to implement permeable pavement systems in urban or residential areas of South Korea in order to achieve efficient water circulation system based on low impact development (LID) design concept. This study aims to establish the design factors and procedure for permeable asphalt pavements structural design. Based on the review of previous studies, the 1993 AASHTO design method is found to be adequate for permeable pavements structural design. In this study, the design program based on 1993 AASHTO design procedure in conjunction with domestic roadway design standards was developed to accommodate the characteristics of permeable asphalt pavements. Primary design parameters such as structural layer coefficients of permeable materials were successfully quantified based on literature reviews and parallel analyses. Comparable design thicknesses were obtained between the developed permeable pavement design (PPD) program and Korea pavement research program (KPRP) under different levels of traffic and subgrade load bearing capacity.
