Simple closed-form solution for a single source estimation in mixed far-field and near-field conditions (원근 혼합환경에서 간단한 닫힌 형식을 이용한 단일 음원 위치 추정 기법)

  • Based on correlation and least square method, a closed-form algorithm for estimating the location of mixed far-field and near-field source is presented using the Uniform Circular Array (UCA). Recently, for a homogeneous circular arrangement case, a correlation based closed-form algorithm is proposed to estimate 2-D angle (azimuth, elevation) and the extended algorithm is proposed to 3-D location (azimuth, elevation, range). These algorithms assume the far-field source or near-field source only. Therefore, for mixed source localization, the proposed algorithm estimates source location with the assumption of far-field source, and then estimates the range to distinguish the far-field from the near-field source. For both cases, numerical experiments have been performed, which confirmed the validity of the proposed algorithm.

Derivation of Relationship between Cross-site Correlation among data and among Estimators of L-moments for Generalize Extreme value distribution (Generalized Extreme Value 분포 자료의 교차상관과 L-모멘트 추정값의 교차상관의 관계 유도)

  • Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution is recommended for flood frequency and extreme rainfall distribution in many country. L-moment method is the most common estimation procedure for the GEV distribution. In this study, the relationships between the cross-site correlations between extreme events and the cross-correlation of estimators of L-moment ratios (L-moment Coefficient of Variation (L-CV) and L-moment Coefficient of Skewness (L-CS)) for data generated from GEV distribution were derived by Monte Carlo simulation. Those relationships were fit to the simple power function. In this Monte Carlo simulation, GEV+ distribution were employed wherein unrealistic negative values were excluded. The simple power models provide accurate description of the relationships between cross-correlation of data and cross-correlation of L-moment ratios. Estimated parameters and accuracies of the power functions were reported for different GEV distribution parameters combinations. Moreover, this study provided a description about regional regression approach using Generalized Least Square (GLS) regression method which require the cross-site correlation among L-moment estimators. The relationships derived in this study allow regional GLS regression analyses of both L-CV and L-CS estimators that correctly incorporate the cross-correlation among GEV L-moment estimators.

  • 본 논문에서 우리는 범함수 회귀모형을 이용한 양파의 성장단계별 무게를 예측할 수 있는 새로운 통계적 추정방법을 제안한다. 여기서 우리는 풍속, 평균온도, 강우량, 일조량 그리고 습도 등 나타내는 환경요인들을 설명변수들로 사용하고, 양파의 성장단계별 무게를 반응변수로 사용하여 범함수 회귀모형을 적용하였다. 먼저 그래프분석과 상관분석을 통하여 우리는 일일 평균온도는 양파의 무게 증진에 가장 큰 양의상관이 있고, 풍속이나 습도 그리고 일조량들은 양파의 성장에 약간의 영향력이 있으며 강우량은 양파의 성장에 전혀 도움이 안됨을 알 수 있었다. 두 번째로 범함수 회귀 분석을 통하여 얻어진 각 환경요인들에 대한 회귀계수들의 그림을 통하여 우리는 양파의 성장 기간 동안에 이들의 무게를 향상시키기 위해서는 어떻게 환경요인들을 관리해야 되는 가를 알 수 있는 재배방법을 유도하였다.

Subpixel Shift Estimation in Noisy Image Using Iterative Phase Correlation of A Selected Local Region (잡음 영상에서 국부 영역의 반복적인 위상 상관도를 이용한 부화소 이동량 추정방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a subpixel shift estimation method using phase correlation with a local region for the registration of noisy images. Phase correlation is commonly used to estimate the subpixel shift between images, which is derived from analyzing shifted and downsampled images. However, when the images are affected by additive white Gaussian noise and aliasing artifacts, the estimation error is increased. Thus, instead of using the whole image, the proposed method uses a specific local region that is less affect by noises. In addition, to improve the estimation accuracy, iterative phase correlation is applied between selected local regions rather than using a fitting function. the restricted range is determined by analyzing the maximum peak and the two adjacent values of the inverse Fourier transform of the normalized cross power spectrum. In the experiments, the proposed method shows higher accuracy in registering noisy images than the other methods. Thus, the edge-sharpness and clearness in the super-resolved image is also improved.

Estimation on the Distribution Function for Coastal Air Temperature Data in Korean Coasts (한반도 연안 기온자료의 분포함수 추정)

  • Water temperature due to climate change can be estimated using the air temperature because the air and water temperatures are closely related and the water temperatures have been widely used as the indicators of the environmental and ecological changes. It is highly necessary to estimate the frequency distribution of the air and water temperatures, for the climate change derives the change of the coastal water temperatures. In this study, the distribution function of the air temperatures is estimated by using the long-term coastal air temperature data sets in Korea. The candidate distribution function is the bi-modal distribution function used in the previous studies, such as Cho et al.(2003) on tidal elevation data and Jeong et al.(2013) on the coastal water temperature data. The parameters of the function are optimally estimated based on the least square method. It shows that the optimal parameters are highly correlated to the basic statistical informations, such as mean, standard deviation, and skewness coefficient. The RMS error of the parameter estimation using statistical information ranges is about 5 %. In addition, the bimodal distribution fits good to the overall frequency pattern of the air temperature. However, it can be regarded as the limitations that the distribution shows some mismatch with the rapid decreasing pattern in the high-temperature region and the some small peaks.

  • 부호여기선형예측 형태의 음성 부호화기에 있어서주된 단점은 요구되는 계산량이많다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 음질의 저하없이 자기상관에 근거한 피치예측기에서 피치 찾는 시간을 줄이는 간단한 방법을 제안한다. 기본적인 발상은, 피치찾는 과정에서 나타나는 자기상관 함수의 특성에 근거하여, 음의 봉우리의 폭을 이전 양의 봉우리의 폭을 이용하여 추정하여 건너 뜀으로써 피치 찾는 범위를 자기상관함수의 양의 값쪽으로 제한하는 것이다. 이렇게 피치찾는 구간에 제약을 가함으로써 요구되는 계산량은 감소하게 된다. 제안된 방법을 적용한 결과, 평균 약 40%의 계산량 감소를 음질의 저하없이 얻을 수 있다.

Estimation of Aggregate Matching Function in Korea (한국의 구인·구직 매칭함수 추정)

  • The aggregate matching function is estimated to explain dynamics among job seekers, vacancies and new hires in Korea. Due to measurement errors inherent in vacancies data, I introduce a latent variable for job openings and use the instrumental variables to correct its endogeneity. Matching efficiency is also estimated using some explanatory variables like job seekers' characteristics and public employment services. The result shows that Korea's matching function also exhibits a constant returns to scale.

  • There are many techniques for underwater source localization. These are the methods based on TDOA (Time Difference Of Arrival) estimation. beamforming techniques and high resolution techniques, etc. In this Paper we estimate the underwater source position using MCPSP (Modified Cross Power Spectrum Phase) function that is calculated on frequency domain using sensors of small number. However, the performances of the localizing method based on MCPSP function drops greatly in the case of CW (Continuous Wave) signal . In this Paper we proposed the TDOA estimation method for pulsed CW signal. In the Proposed method we composed of new segment including a edge of ping. This segment was computed by short-time energy detection. With theoretical representation the performances of the proposed method were analyzed under various environment.

  • 본 논문은 페달력과 전기 구동력을 동시에 사용하는 하이브리드 3륜 전기자전거의 구동부에서 보조력의 제어에 토크리플이 억제될 수 있도록 역기전력 함수를 이용한 PAS(Power assist system)을 제안한다. 제안된 방식에서는 하이브리드 3륜 전기자전거의 구동력을 제공하는 BLDC(Brushless DC) 전동기의 역기전력 형상과 토크 사이의 상관관계를 바탕으로, 사용자의 요구 토크에 대하여 추정된 역기전력 역함수를 통해 지령 전류를 발생하고, 지령전류의 제어에는 추정된 역기전력함수를 사용하여 제어 성능을 향상시킨다. 연속적인 역기전력의 추정에는 홀센서의 위치각과 추정속도를 통해 연속적인 위치각을 추정하고, 이를 통해 룩-업 테이블의 실제 역기전력 데이터와 위치 보정값을 사용하게 된다. 하이브리드 3륜 전기자전거의 제안된 PAS 제어 방식은 시뮬레이션을 통해 가능성을 검증하였다.

Estimation of radial spectrum for rainfall (호우의 환상스펙트럼 추정)

  • Using the storm data which was augmented by the stochastic correlation with it's neighbors, the multiquadric equation of random surface of total storm depth is constructed. And to separate the local components from it's regionals and find the regional characteristics, a double Fourier analysis was applied to the total depths of storm data. The local components, storm residuals of each storm was assumed to be homogeneous random field and investigated with it's autocorrelation function. For the practical application, isotropic was assumed and that was identified with emprical data. Coefficients of normalized autocorrelation for all storms showed similar apperance. Using this emprical result, an example of the radial spectral distribution function which represints the spatial characteristics of rainfall over Han River Basin during 1975-1983 is presented.
