The Comprehensive Assessment of Psychopathic Personality(CAPP) is an emerging comprehensive approach that makes use of 99 items in 33 symptoms to well-represented psychopathic personality disorder, but cross-cultural generalizability of this potential model have not endured extensive validation to date. The current study sought to validate the recently published CAPP-Self-Report form(CAPP-SR). 311 participants were derived from eleven prisons by the systematic sampling. They were administered the CAPP-SR, Triarchic Psychopathy Measure(TriPM), Levenson's SRP(LSRP), Short Dark Tetrad(SD-4), and Korean Offender Risk Assessment-General(KORAS-G designed for predicting Korean offenders'recidivism. The results showed that the CAPP-SR total, domain, and symptom scores were generally associated with TriPM, LSRP, SD-4, and KORAS-G scores in a manner consistent with conceptual expectations. Also. the findings cross-culturally provide support for construct validity and incremental validity of the CAPP-SR in Korea as well as have clinical implications for the CAPP model more broadly, which are discussed.
In our studies, We defined the concept of social reputation and aimed to estimate the effect of social reputation on likability, trust, preference of interpersonal relationship. To accomplish these goal, photographs of 12 persons(six young unmarried man, six young unmarried women) volunteered were shown to 60 raters, and the one male and one female pictures of scores of facial attractiveness are nearest to median were selected as experimental figures in preliminary study. After this, We asked 260 raters to assess likability, trust, preference of interpersonal relationship after showing raters the chosen pictures of man and woman and telling scenario of positive, negative reputation about these two persons. The outcomes showed that in both men and women, likability, trust, preference of persons who gained positive reputation were significantly higher than persons gained negative reputation. Facial attractiveness was effect on likability, trust, and preference, but effect size of reputation was much higher on likability, interpersonal preference, especially trust level. Also, in three-way ANCOVA results, Woman has showed higher likability and trust than man under the condition of good reputation in both woman was rater and object to be assessed, but on the contrary, likability, trust, and preference of woman were lower than man in either woman was rater or object to be judged under the bad reputation,. Lastly, this study's implications and limitations were discussed.
The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of gender on meat quality traits and sensory characteristics of pork loin. A total of 90 pork carcasses (180 days old, 45 barrows and 45 gilts, each gender group was consisted of fifteen 1+, 1 and 2 carcass grades) were selected and loin cuts were excised to investigate meat quality, electronic tongue measures and sensory panel test. There were significant differences in drip loss (1.66% vs 1.21%), released water (12.19% vs 10.68%) and cooking loss (23.67% vs 21.04%) between loins from barrow and gilt (p<0.05). However, no significant differences in meat color (CIE L* a* b*) and shear force were observed between gender groups (p>0.05). Umami and richness values of barrow were significantly higher than those of gilt, while barrow had significantly lower sourness value compared to gilt(p<0.05). On the sensory evaluation, barrow scored higher in flavor, juiciness and tenderness both, and as a result, barrow (5.51 points) also scored significantly higher than gilt (4.86 points). These results suggest that the umami intensity and sensory taste of barrow loin are superior to gilt loin due to its high water-holding capacity.

In this study, we report the effect of starting materials on the grain size in a multi-component system at high pressure experiments. We used two different starting materials, glass and nano powders, to synthesize bridgmanite in the reduced conditions in the presence of calcium-ferrite-phase MgAl2O4 to compared the grain size of synthesized samples. After synthesizing the sample at 40 GPa, 2000 K for 20 hrs, the sample from glass showed the grain size of 50-200 nm whereas the one from nano powders has ~500 nm of grains. This difference may come from 1) the temperature of 2000 K which is low enough for glass starting materials to make more crystal nucleis than to grow crystal size or 2) the possible difference in the redox state of starting materials. It is suggested that the using of nano powders is better to synthesize bigger grains in high pressure experiments with multi-component systems rather than using glass starting materials.
Coarticulation is affected by the continuous movement of the articulator within a limited time and space through the neighboring segments and various overlaps. This study investigated the differences in coarticulation characteristics of children with reading disabilities and nondisabled children in CVC and VCV syllables consisted of stops, affricates, and vowels (a, i, u). The subjects were 13 children with reading disabilities and nondisabled children in the 2nd to 6th grades in elementary school. Two second formants were measured. One was measured at the point where the vowel began, and the other was measured at the mid point of the vowel stable section. Regression analysis was performed with F2 onset and F2 of the following vowel to obtain the locus equation (LE). 3-way ANOVA was conducted to the slope of the LE according to the groups (reading disabilities vs. nondisabled), places of articulation, and phonation types. In CVC syllable, dyslexic children showed a flatter slope than nondisabled children. With respect to the places of articulation, velar or bilabial sounds showed steeper LE slope than alveolar or palatal sounds. There were no main effects regarding group and phonation types variable for VCV syllable, and the significant differences in the places of articulation were also differed from the results for the CVC syllables. This study confirmed that dyslexic children showed a different pattern of coarticulation slope depending on the syllable structure. We also found that the higher pause rate of the dyslexic children had a stronger effect on the coarticulation in VCV structures.
In a trial involving 240pigs, the proximate composition, physico-chemical properites, color, amino acid composition and fatty acid composition of loin muscle were investigated in feeding various finished pig feeds. The treatments included feeding control) the low-nutrient density diet(2,960cal/kg ME, 12.25% CP, 0.41% lysine and 0.70% Ca), T1) the medium-nutrient density diet(3,220cal/kg ME, 15.50% CP, 0.87% lysine and 0.90% Ca) and T2) the hight-nutrient density diet(3,350cal/kg ME, 17.50% CP, 1.05% lysine and 0.90% Ca). The crude ash contents of T1 were significantly(p〈0.05) higher than those of control and T2. The pH$_{u}$ of T2 were significantly higher than those of control and T1, but cooking loss were significantly(p〈0.05) lower than those of control. In compositions amino acid, aspartic acid, threonine, iso-leucine and histidine of T2 were higher than those of control, but proline and glycine were significantly(p〈0.05) lower then those of control. The oleic acid(18:1) contents of control were significantly higher than those of T1 and T2, but the contents of linoleic acid(C18:2) and arachidonic(C20:4) acid were significantly(p〈0.05) lower. Inconclusion, the results of the experiments suggest that the high-nutrient density diet for pigs tended to improve the postmortem pH$_{u}$ and cooking loss.

The current work was carried out to investigate the effect of crossbred Korean native chickens (KNC) on performance and meat quality. A total of 720 chicks (1d of age) was used in this work and were divided into groups by crossbreds (A, B, C and D) and sex (male and female). Crossbreds were A) (KNC egg-meat type C strains ${\times}$ KNC meat type S strains) ${\times}$ Ross broiler, B) (KNC egg-meat type C strains ${\times}$ KNC meat type H strains) ${\times}$ KNC meat type S strains, C) (KNC native R strains${\times}$KNC meat type S strains)${\times}$KNC meat type H strains and D(White Semibroiler Chickens). Experimental diets consisted of 3 phases such as starter (0~5 weeks; CP 20.0%, ME 3,050 kcal/kg), earlier (5~8 weeks; CP 18.0%, ME 3,100 kcal/kg) and finisher (8~12 weeks; CP 16.0%, ME 3,150 kcal/kg). They were fed the broiler diets for 12 weeks at the flat house and thirty six chickens were slaughtered at week 5 and 10. There was no significant difference on the fertility of crossbred KNCs, and the hatchability of B crossbred was low compared to other crossbreds. On body weight (BW), D crossbred resulted in a higher BW after 5 weeks (P<0.05). Body weight gain (BWG) and feed intake (FI) of A crossbred were also significant higher compared to the other crossbreds for all periods. On carcass ratio (CR), A crossbred showed higher CR at 5 weeks, there was no significant among crossbreds at 10 weeks. The partial meat ratio(ala, breast, neck, leg) of C crossbred was the lowest among other crossbreds (P<0.05), but the back meat ratio was not difference among treatments at 5 and 10 weeks. pH of meats have no difference among crossbreds at 5 week, and A crossbred was high compared to other crossbreds at 10 week (P<0.05). The moisture content of D crossbred meat and the protein content of B crossbred meat were high compared to other crossbreds at 5 week. Chemical compositions of meats have no difference among crossbreds at 10 week. Lightness and redness have not significance among crossbreds at 5 week, and redness of A crossbred was the highest among all crossbreds (P<0.05). Shear force and cooking loss of A crossbred were high at 5 week, and cooking loss of A crossbred was low compared with other crossbreds at 10 week. These results suggested the basic data that needed to develope the new strains.
With a growing awareness, transportation is the maior source of urban air pollution. Planners and policy-makers are strongly urged to care the impacts of transportation management strategies on environment. Since transport-related air Pollution can be regarded as negative externalities of transport, it is indispensable to evaluate chanties in air quality which seems to occur when proposed transport measures are implemented. In addition, transport measures should be integrated in a set of combined Paradigm regarding transport and environment. Based on the integrated Paradigm between transportation demand management(TDM) and environmental planning, the main focus is given to apply environment cost internalizing measures to the short-term congestion management Program(SCMP) in Seoul, that has been developed in 1998 by Seoul Development Institute. Three modules are analyzed: without and/or with ₩500, ₩1000 emission plus gas tax, respectively. From the empirical applications on Seoul city, one of the most exemplary findings in SCMP program is that, emission plus gas tax can be a very useful measure to reduce vehicular emissions by targeting major Pollutants differently, rather than by dealing with pollutants collectively. Further research that provides (1)showing the spatial variation of pollution levels along the intersections, (2)more developing combined Paradigm between transport, land use, and environment, (3)using environmental road capacity rather than Physical-aspects of road capacity, and (4)continuing R&D on air quality constrained TDM, can contribute significantly to applications of the real and efficient environment-constrained transportation planning.
One hundred and forty-four cross-bred market pigs weighing approximately 110 kg were randomly divided into six groups in a 3 (duration of fasting prior to loading; 0, 12 and 24 h) ${\times}$ 2 (handling stress; minimal vs stimulated handling stress) factorial arrangement of treatments. The stimulated handling stress group received overally rough handling including electric prod stimulation during loading, transport and lairage at least once at each step. All the animals received 3-h lairage prior to slaughter. Blood and longissimus dorsi muscle (LM) samples were taken at slaughter and after overnight chilling of the carcass, respectively. Mean plasma glucose concentration, as expected, was less in the 12 h- or 24 h-fasting group than in the 0 h-fasting, whereas cortisol concentration was greater (P<0.05) in the 24 h- vs 0 h-fasting group. Plasma concentrations of stress indicators glucose, cortisol, creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase were greater in the stimulated vs minimal handling stress group. There were no interactions between the duration of fasting and handling stress in their effects on these blood variables. The incidence of pale, soft and exudative (PSE) carcass and drip loss of LM were reduced in the 12 h- or 24 h- vs 0 h-fasting group, whereas the 24-h postmortem LM pH and color including the lightness and redness were not affected by the duration of fasting. The incidence of PSE carcass and physicochemical characteristics of LM, however, were not changed by the stimulated vs minimal handling stress. In conclusion, results suggest that fasting the market pig overnight prior to transport is desirable in terms of reducing the incidence of PSE carcass. Rough handling of market pigs may not affect the carcass quality of the animals when an enough lairage time is provided. However, rough handling inflicts a stimulated stress on the animal, which is manifested by increased blood concentrations of stress indicators, and therefore should be avoided fer animal welfare.

This experiment was selected a $\beta$-glucan producing mushroom strain and developed industrial media, and used to $\beta$-glucan as an alternative for antibiotics in weaned pigs. Yields of mycelial biomass and extracellular $\beta$-glucan from Youngji (Ganoderma lucidum) mushroom was 8.52g/L and 4.49g/L respectively. Also, we prepared optimum formula for mushroom cultivations. A total of 144 pigs ($8.6{\pm}0.9$ kg average body weight, weaned $20{\pm}3$ days of age) were allotted to 4 different treatment groups and replicated 4 times with 8 pigs per replicate in randomized complete block design. Treatments were T1) NC (negative control, basal diet), T2) PC (positive control, basal diet+0.255% antibiotics), T3) NC+0.2% $\beta$-glucan and T4) PC+0.2% $\beta$-glucan. The T2 and T4 treatments were significantly higher in feed efficiency by antibiotics group (p<0.05), however, there was no significant differences in terms of average daily gain (ADG) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) during phase I (0~14 days). In phase II (15~28 days), Pigs fed with antibiotics and $\beta$-glucan (T4) had greater ADG than other treatments (p<0.05), while no differences were observed in ADFI and feed efficiency. During the whole experiment period, the ADG of T4 treatment was higher than other treatments. Pigs fed with $\beta$-glucan (T3 and T4) had greater diarrhea score and moisture content than other treatments (p<0.05). Pigs fed with $\beta$-glucan (T3 and T4) had greater moisture content than other treatments (p<0.05). However, there was no significant differences in diarrhea score and mortality of weaned pigs. There was marginal reductions in feed cost measured feed cost per weight gain used in antibiotics and $\beta$-glucan added diet during phase I. In the second phase, the treatment supplemented with antibiotics had a significantly lower feed cost per weight gain compared to the other treatments. The results from these experiments suggests that $\beta$-glucan is likely able to improve the growth performance, and reduce feed cost although they do not have similar effects like antibiotics in weaning pigs.
