Measurement and simulation of high-frequency bistatic sea surface scattering channel in shallow water of Geoje bay (거제 내만해역에서의 고주파 양상태 해수면 음파산란 채널 측정 및 모의)

  • High-frequency bistatic sea surface scattering channels according to sea state were measured at an experimental site of Geoje bay in April 2020, and compared with predictions based on scattering theory. A linear frequency-modulated signal with a center frequency of 128 kHz and a bandwidth of 32 kHz was used for the acoustic measurements. Sea surface wavenumber spectrum was calculated from surface roughness data measured by a wave buoy, and bistatic scattering cross-section of Small Slope Approximation (SSA) based on the wavenumber spectrum was estimated. In addition, scattering from near-surface bubbles using wind speed measured during experiments was considered. Surface scattering channel intensity impulse responses were simulated using the scattering cross-section and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with the field data.

  • Reproductive behavior of wrasse, Cheilinus bimaculatus, was studied in a shallow waters at Makurazaki in Kagoshima, southern Japan. Mating system of C. bimaculatus was haremic. Males established mating territory around the prominent rocks or a thicket of soft corals. Within the territory, there were two or three females. And pair-spawned with a female between 15:00 h~15:30. One spawning was performed within six seconds. The streaking, sneaking and group spawning were not observed in our observation.

A Study on the Effective Scattering Center Analysis for Radar Cross Section Reduction of Complex Structures (복합구조물의 RCS 저감을 위한 효율적 산란중심 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Scattering center extraction schemes for radar cross section reduction of large complex targets, like warships, was developed, which are an 1-D radar image method(range profile), and a direct analysis based on an object precision method. The analysis result of partial dihedral model shows that the presented direct analysis method is more efficient than the 1-D radar image method for scattering center extraction of interested targets, in terms of radar cross section reduction design, not signal processing. In order to verify the accuracy of the direct analysis method, a scattering center analysis of an naval weapon system was carried out, and the result was coincident with that of another well-known RCS analysis program. Finally, an analysis result of RCS and its scattering center of an 120m class warship-like model presented that the direct analysis method can be an efficient and powerful tools for radar cross section reduction of large complex targets.

Synthesis of Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles with a High Crystalline Characteristics (높은 결정성을 갖는 이산화티탄 나노입자의 합성)

  • In the age of oil exhaustion, low cost, semi-transparent solar cell, the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) has attracted significant attention since 1991 of $Gr{\ddot{a}}tzel$ report. To enhance the light-harvest capability of the photoelectric electrode, and efficiency of photoelectric transformation of the DSC, scattering layer of various structure have been proposed to photoelectric electrode materials. The scattering center of scattering layer needs the large titanium dioxide nanoparticles of 250 - 300 nm in diameter. In this study, the large sized $TiO_2$ nanocyrstals of around 300 nm were synthesized using the modified sol-gel process. According to the analysis of XRD and TEM, the synthesized $TiO_2$ nanoparticles exhibit single crystals of anatase phase. The optical transmittance of the synthesized titanium dioxide film prepared by spin coating is around 50% at 550 nm. It is suitable for scattering layer as a scattering center, and expected to enhance the efficiency of photoelectric transformation of the DSC.

  • The best spawning timing in a day and the first spawning position of Pseudopungtungia nigra was investigated at the Jujacheon stream in Jinan-gun Jeollabuk-do, Koera from May to July 2009. P. nigra spawned only at the nest of Coreoperca herzi from 7 May to 11 July, 2009. P. nigra spawned at 56 nests among 61 nests of C. herzi, and the spawning of P. nigra started on after 1st or 2nd day spawning of C. herzi. The spawning behavior was dominantly observed at around 06:00 to 07:00 AM, when parental C. herzi males are usually inactive in the territorial defence. The hatching rate of P. nigra eggs was closely related with the parental activity of the guarding C. herzi, and P. nigra deposit their eggs as close as possible to the egg clutches of C. herzi (normally at the perimeter of the clutch), likely to take much of the potential effects from fanning and guarding, as the hosts focus their care on the centre of the egg clutch.

  • 태양으로부터 3Rs보다 높은 코로나 밝기의 대부분은 먼지에 의해 산란된 F코로나로부터 나온다. F코로나와 자유전자의 톰슨산란에 의한 K코로나를 분리하는 효과적인 방법은 편광을 이용하는 것으로 알려져 있고 현재 NASA와 천문연간 협력개발 중인 K코로나 관측 기기 COronal Diagnostic EXperiment(CODEX)도 편광을 이용한 분류를 기본으로 자유전자의 온도와 속도를 측정한다. 문제는 F코로나도 약간의 편광도를 가져서 K코로나와 구별이 불가능해지는데다 F코로나의 편광량은 먼지입자의 구성물질, 모양, 산란 위치 등에 따라 달라서 거의 예측이 불가능하고 지금까지 제대로 알려진 바도, 연구된 바도 없다. 우리는 CODEX에서 F코로나 편광량을 산출하기 위해 한 개의 협대역 필터(Narrow Bandpass Filter)를 추가장착하는 것을 제안하였고 그 중심파장과 밴드폭을 결정하였다. 몬테카를로 계산 결과 10장의 393.55nm 중심의 1.4nm폭 협대역필터와 393.5nm 중심의 10nm 협대역 필터비를 이용해 1Rs 화소의 해상도로 F코로나 편광량을 결정할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 2023년 CODEX 발사 후 본 관측이 성공적으로 수행된다면 F코로나의 편광량의 시간, 공간적 변화를 확인할 수 있으며 추가적으로 K코로나를 보다 정밀하게 분리해낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Spawning ecology and feeding habits of Maurolicus muelleri in the Korean waters were studied. M. muelleri spawned continuously throughout the year showing a peak in August. Major spawning ground of this species was the southeastern sea of Korea. The fecundity observed from the ovaries of M. muelleri showed a range of 5,072 to 32,117, and the average number of eggs per one spawning time was approximately 250. M. muelleri was a zooplanktivore which fed mainly on copepods. Its diets also included various crustaceans such as amphipods, euphausiids, shrimps and mysids.

  • Squid catch in the East Sea has annual, 3-5 years and decadal periodicity. Position of main fishing ground depend on the pattern of the Tsushima Warm Current. Marine environment in spawning ground has close correlation with the variation of squid catch in the East Sea.

  • 레이저 진단은 플라즈마 진단법 중 가정 정확한 진단법으로 알려져 있다. 특히 진단이 까다로운 고밀도, 자기장, 고압 환경에서도 그 측정 결과가 신뢰성 있다고 잘 알려져 있다. 본 특별 심포지엄에서는 중 성종을 측정 할 수 있는 레일레이 산란과 자유 전자를 측정 할 수 있는 톰슨 산란, 그리고 분자를 측정할 수 있는 라만 산란을 중심으로 발표 할 것이다. 또한 특정 준위를 갖는 원자 및 분자의 거동을 측정할 수 있는 레이저 유도 형광에 대해서도 간단히 발표 할 것이다. 그밖에 레이저 진단의 종류, 원리 등을 설명 하고 한국표준과학연구원에서 이루어 진고 있는 연구 결과에 대해 발표 할 것이다.
