초음파 공명을 이용한 원전 연료봉의 산화막 두께 측정

  • 핵연료 펠렛이 장입되어 있는 원전연료봉 피복관은 핵분열성 물질의 외부 유출에 대한 일차 방호벽 역할을 하므로 원전의 안전성을 위해서는 피복관의 구조건전성 확보가 매우 중요하다. 고온, 고압의 운전 조건 속에서 연료봉 피복관은 산화막이 생성 상장하여 연료봉을 취성 파괴시킬 가능성이 있으므로 이를 가동중에 비파괴적으로 측정할 수 있는 방법을 개발할 필요가 있다. 산화막이 존재하는 지르칼로이 피복관에 대한 음파의 공명산란을 이론적으로 모델링하고 수치해석을 수행하였다. 산화막이 피복된 원통형 쉘의 공명산란에서 공명 원주파의 전파 특성은 산화막의 존재 여부와 그 두께 증가에 따라 크게 변화한다. 수치 해석 결과 제 1차 반대칭 (A$_1$) 원주파의 특정 부분파의 경우에는 산화막의 존재에도 불구하고 위상속도가 일정한 특이성을 보였다. 이러한 위상속도 특성을 실험을 통하여 확인하였으며 이 현상을 이용하여 산화막의 두께를 측정할 수 있는 새로운 비파괴 평가 방법을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, the incoherent reverberation model based on coupled normal mode method is presented. In the range dependent environment, one way coupled normal mode method is used to calculate the pressure from a source to a scatterer patch and the pressure from a scatterer patch to a receiver. For the computational efficiency, the sound propagation from a source/receiver to the scatterer patch is assumed to occur only in the 2D plane where a source/receiver and scatterer patch are located. For the model verification, problems of the reverberation modeling workshop I and II sponsored by the US office of Naval Research are calculated and the results are compared with the incoherent reverberation model results based on the ray method.

  • 극초단파 영역에서 얇은 두께의 시료를 도파 관의 한 가운데 두었을 때 전송 법과 Automatic Network Analyzer를 이용하여 산란인자를 측정하였다. 파동의 전파상수를 구하기 위하여 복소수로 되어 있는 반사계수와 투과계수를 결정하고 이것으로 초월함수를 풀어 시료의 유전특성을 구하였다. 시료를 도파 관의 한 가운데 두고 산란인자를 측정하는 이 방법은 유전체와 도파 관 사이에 생길 수 있는 간격을 줄일 수 있고 시료를 쉽게 정착할 수 있다. 이 측정 방법은 대단히 간단하고 빨리 측정할 수 있으며 실험을 재생할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

  • The oviposition behavior of Ooencyrtus kuvanae (Howard) (Hymenoptera: Encyridae) was examined in a small petri dish containing eggs of gypsy moth, Lymantrt'a dt'spar L. The behavioral sequence from initial searching movement toward the host egg through oviposition, departure, and auxiliary phase activities such as resting, glooming, and host feeding were described. Oviposition experience shortened the approach time to subsequent eggs. The time spent for contacting the host egg also decreased with oviposition experience. Oviposition experience may play an important role in host recognition and increasing oviposition efficiency.

  • Internal and external reproductive parameters of the striped bitterling, Acheilognathus yamatsutae were compared. Internal reproductive parameters was used gonadosomatic index (GSI), hepatosomatic index (HSI) and gonadal development stage. External reproductive parameters was used ovipositor in female and pearl organ, dorsal and caudal fin nuptial color in male. The GSI and HSI of the female and male showed highest in February. Gonadal development was observed mainly ripe and spawning/spent stage in February to May. The ovipositor length index (OLI) of the female showed highest in March to April. Pearl organ number and expression rate of the male showed highest in February to May. Dorsal fin nuptial color expression rate and index (NCI-DF) showed highest in February to May. Caudal fin nuptial color expression rate and index(NCI-CF) showed highest in February to April. The study suggested same change of internal and external reproductive parameters in female and male.

  • Non-destructive technique to measure internal structure and constant distribution of material can be widely used to exploration of mineral resources, identification of underground cables and buried pipelines, and diagnostic imaging in medical area. In this paper, we considered 2-dimensional EM scattering problem. Incident wave source is estimated by using some measured information obtained from near-field solutions.

  • 대게의 산란은 일본 서ㆍ남해 근해에서 겨울∼봄에 이루어지는 것으로 보고된 바있으나 (Yoshida, 1941; Ito, 1963), 이 결과는 자연산 채집에 의한 생태학적인 방법으로 접근한 것이 대부분이며, 일본의 대게 분포수역과 인접한 우리나라 동해안 울진, 축산 근해의 대게 성숙과 산란에 관한 비교자료는 거의 없다. 또, Lim et al.(1998)은 동해안 대게 유생의 부화실험에서, 부화시기가 12월경이라고 하였는데, 앞으로 지역적인 성숙시기의 차이를 검토해 볼 필요가 있다. (중략)

A Study on the Reduction of Scattered Ray in Outside Radiation Field (조사야 외부의 산란선량 감소 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this research, The way to decrease a patient's exposure dose by reducing the scattered radiation dosage outside a radiation field with an diagnosis X-ray was examined. The scattered radiation dosage reaching other parts outside the radiation field was to be reduced by attaching a self-produced $150{\times}190mm^2$ lead plate to the lower part of a collimator. When a lead plate was inserted additionally and the scattered radiation dosage of the X axis was measured in the direction of the central X-ray axis, It was found out to have been decreased by 26 to 36%, and in the direction of Y axis, which was vertical direction from the central axis, The scattered radiation dosage depending on whether a lead plate was used or not displayed no large differences. These results shows that the impact of the scattered radiation by the off focus X-ray that was generated around the focus was bigger than that generated by the shutter of the collimator. Therefore it has been concluded that installing an additional lead plate in the lower part of the existing collimator can decrease the scattered radiation dosage outside a radiation field.

  • A new speices of cyprinid fish, Acheilognathus somjinensis is described based on the specimens collected in the Somjin River, Sinpyong-myon, Imsil -gun , Chollabuk-do province of Korea. In general morphology it is similar to A. koreensis. however, the new speices differs from the latter in having longer ovipositor of female in spawing season and showing pear-shaped eggs. In hybridization experiments, it was found that A.somjinensis is repoductively isolated from A.koreensis.
