  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the change of body temperature and pain by application of Gaussian magnetic for the elderly delayed muscle pain. For the purpose, we selected 15 elderly women(age;$69.47{\pm}1.60$) and conducted repeated experiments. The Gaussian magnetic field area was divided into three areas (1000G, 1500G, 2000G). The applying arbitrarily manufactured magnetic field wristbands changes of body heat and pain before and after wearing Gaussian magnetic were measured and collected data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0. To examine the pre-and post-treatment differences by treatment areas, we conducted paired t-test. Group differences and interaction effects were analyzed using two-way ANOVA and Duncan post hoc tests. The significance level was set to ${\alpha}=.05$. The results are as follows. The change of body heat by the Gaussian magnetic field area showed significant differences in all three groups(P<.05). There were also significant differences in the results of group interactions and in the delayed muscle pain scale between groups(P<.05). The area with the largest difference appeared in the area of 1500G field. The 1000G-1500G Gauss field is considered to be the most ideal magnetic field for body heat and muscle pain changes. In conclusion, the Gaussian magnetic field of 1000G-1500G may affect body temperature and muscle pain in the elderly, and may have a significant impact on the quality of life in old age.

  • The study was to identify the clinical effects of school sandplay group counseling on the emotions and behavior of elementary school students for the first time in Korea. The method of survey is to consult 113 students in the 4th - 6th grade of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ elementary school for 10 weeks from March to July 2015. The small group consisted of 10 to 16 children, with one principal counselor and three or four assistant counselors participating, with 40 minutes of treatment, and a total of 12 follow-up sessions, including the Baseline assessment and treatment sessions. It was conducted to 56 male(49.6%) and 57 female(50.4%) students with questionnaires for their sex and age, assessing KCYP results at the point of baseline and post-therapeutic condition. A comparison of the clinical and detailed assessment scale scores of KCYP before and after 12 weeks of Sandplay resulted in a significant effects in improved and reduced symptoms depression of elementary school students after the school sandplay group counseling. School sandplay group counseling is thought to help elementary school students emotional problems and self-esteem.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of self reflective practice using cellular phone video recordings on self-confidence in performance, practice satisfaction, learning self-efficacy and core basic nursing skills achievement. A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group posttest design was used. Participants were recruited from one nursing colleges. The sample consisted of an experimental group (n=43) that participated in the self reflective practice using cellular phone video recordings program and a control group (n=43). The data of self-confidence in performance, practice satisfaction, and learning self-efficacy were collected using self-administered questionnaires from March 2, 2018 to May 30. The core basic nursing skills achievement was evaluated by two researchers. Data analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test and independent t-test. After the intervention, self-confidence in performance, learning self-efficacy and core basic nursing skills achievement significantly increased in the experimental group compared with the control group. Findings indicated that, this program can be recommended as an effective educational program for the nursing student to improve their fundamental nursing skills.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify effects of virtual reality based intervention program on communication skills in cafe and class attitudes of students with intellectual disabilities. To do this, 30 students with intellectual disabilities were participated in this study and placed an experimental group and a control group. An experimental group took part in the virtual reality based intervention program on communication skills in cafe and a control group joined in the traditional intervention program at summer vacation from July, 22 to August, 24. Intervention programs of an experimental group and an control group were conducted 5 times in a week for 4 weeks and a class time of each class was 50 minutes. Evaluations of two groups were carried out in pre-test and post-test and data of evaluation was analyzed by independent t-test. In Results of study, communication skills of experimental group were improved higher than control group's. Also, class attitudes of experimental group were changed more positive than control group's on job training class. We knew that virtual reality based intervention program was effectively utilized in transitional education for students with intellectual disabilities.

  • This study performed to provide the basic information about the effects of the health management importance awareness on the occupational performance and basic fitness for the people with intellectual disabilities. 16 people with intellectual disabilities participated in muscle strengthening exercise. To assess health management importance awareness, the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure was used to identify the importance of the health management. According to the results of the importance, they were divided into two groups: Extreme and Neutral Importance Group in order to analyze the changes of the occupational performance and basic fitness. In-group analysis of the performance, satisfaction level, strength, and flexibility found that all measures improved in both groups following completion of the program. Between-group analysis following completion of the program indicated group differences in the performance and satisfaction level, but no group differences were found in the muscle strength and flexibility. Thus, this study showed the positive effects from the results of the program participation targeting the people with intellectual disabilities, and highlighted the importance of the awareness for them regarding the need for the health management (as evidenced by the improvement in occupational performance). It is expected that effective health management through participation in programs such as this will help maintain a healthy lifestyle and contribute to improve the quality of life.

The study period was from April 1, 2018, to October 26, 2018, and the participants included 16 women of 19~21 age who lived in M City and M Gun. The process of program development is based on Dorothy Johnson 's theory of behavior system to induce change of perception, and reference literature review and national policy report. The program developed through the literature was finally developed by examining the experts panel discussion after deriving causes and alternatives for low fertility from 25 fertility women. The contents of program consist of three areas. Quantitative research results were analyzed using Shapiro Wilk and Wilcoxon sign rank using SPSS 18.0, and qualitative research results were analyzed using focus group. As a result of study, the perception of pregnancy increased significantly (P<0.01) with statistical significance as pre-experimental (M=3.21, SD=.342), post-experimental (M=4.46, SD=.398) and the result of content analysis appeared three themes as , , . In conclusion, the program was effective in improving the recognition of pregnancy for young women.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this pilot study was to examine the effects of a mindfulness-based Body-Mind Intervention Program using marine resources on the improvement of quality of sleep, mood symptoms, and cognitive function in Korean female emotional labor workers. Methods: Twelve female workers who experienced excess emotional labor participated at the training camp program for five days in Danghangpo-ocean park, Goseung-gun, Gyeongnam Province in South Korea. Participant sleep quality, mood symptoms, and cognitive functioning before, after, and 1.5 months later were evaluated and analyzed. Results: After participating in the marine resource program, participants reported significantly decreased sleep latency. Global sleep quality, cognitive functions (attention, flexibility, and inhibition control), and mood states, including depression, tension, anger, fatigue, were also improved. These effects were generally maintained after 1. 5 months (PSQI t = 2.63, p = 0.02 ; HAM-D t = 5.92, p < 0.001). Conclusion: A Body-Mind Intervention Program using marine resources was effective in relaxing emotion-related tension and improving cognitive function. To advance this pilot study, it is necessary to carry out further research to investigate the use of marine resources in mental health interventions.
