The nature of practical problem focused Family and Consumer Sciences curriculum (실천적 문제 중심 가정과 교육과정의 이해)

  • The national level curriculum revision is underway in Korea. A proposed model of family and consumer sciences curriculum was proposed for a public hearing, which was held in December 15, 2005. In the model curriculum, practical problem focused curriculum development approach is partially adopted. However, there is lack of understanding for the practical problem focused curriculum, therefore correct understanding of it is needed. This study tried to promote understanding of the nature of perennial practical problem that FCS deals with and of a conceptual framework of practical problem focused curriculum development. Seven competing topics related with practical problem focused curriculum are discussed for resolving misunderstandings and prejudice on it. From the discussion, it is concluded that practical problem focused curriculum is meeting the needs of students' present and future individual and family life.

여성의 피부건강 관리의 인식과 실천행위 연구

  • 오늘날 경제 성장의 발전은 현대인의 삶의 여유를 가져오게 되었으며, 그 중 뷰티산업의 발전은 국가 주력의 산업으로 발전하게 되었다. 이에 뷰티산업의 구성원인 여성의 사회진출의 기회가 증가 되었고, 이로 인해 여성들은 사회 적응을 위한 하나의 방법으로 외모적인 경쟁력을 가져야 했다. 외모에 대한 관심은 물론 매스미디어의 증가, 사회적, 문화적 분위기, 미용기술의 발달 등을 들 수 있다. 외모의 사전적의미로는 겉으로 나타나는 모습으로 외모관리를 위한 영역으로 피부 관리를 꼽을 수 있다. 피부 관리는 미에 관한 현대 여성의 관심의 증가로, 시간과 비용을 투자하여 외적으로 보여주는 관리로서 외모관리의 대표적 부분으로 중요시 되어오고 있다. 피부의 건강관리는 인식도 중요하고 실천도 중요하다. 그러나 인식과 실천의 관계를 구체적으로 연구한 논문은 부족한 실정이다. 특히 성인여성들을 대상으로 건강관리 인식과 실천을 연구하여 피부건강 관리에 대한 올바른 방안을 제시해준 논문이 필요하다고 생각하여 본 연구자는 이 논문을 설계하게 되었다. 본 연구의 조사대상은 서울지역에 거주하는 20세 이상 60세 미만의 신 성인여성을 대상으로 2017년 5월 02일부터 7월 30일까지 2달 동안 설문조사를 실시하였다. 모집단은 서울지역에 사는 성인 여성을 대상으로 총 400부의 설문지를 배포하였다. 그 중 응답이 불량한 사람 49부를 제외되고 351부가 최종 자료로 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상자의 인구통계학적 특성을 알아본 결과, 연령은 '21-30세'가 85.2%로 가장 많았고, 결혼 상태는 '미혼'이 89.5%, 직업은 '학생' 67.0%, 최종학력은 '대학교 재학/졸업'이 68.1%, '가계의 월 소득은 '200만원 미만'이 71.8%로 가장 많이 소비되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상은 이혜원 (2009)의 논문과 같이 연령이 낮을수록 피부인식이 높아지며, 이들은 잠정고객으로서 피부 건강에 대한 비용을 높게 지불한다는 결과와 유사하다. 피부 관리실의 특성은 다음과 같다. 피부유형은 '복합성'이 47.6%, 적정 피부 관리 횟수는 '주 2회'가 32.5%, 적정 1회 피부 관리 비용으로는 '5만 원 이하'가 가장 많았으며, 피부 관리의 목적으로는 '여드름관리'가 32.8%, 피부 관리에서 중요하게 인식하는 부분으로는 '생활습관'이 79.8%로 대부분이었고, 피부의 유해요인으로는 '스트레스' 42.7%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 이상은 유유정(2013), 장은영(2013)와 같이 생활습관과 스트레스가 피부 관리에 영향을 준다는 결과와 유사하다.

  • 기업의 사회공헌에 대한 사회 구성원들의 요구가 있다. 기업의 규모가 크면 클수록 사회 공공의 이익을 위한 더 많은 공익적 활동이 있게 마련이고, 실제로 적지 않은 기업이 봉사 활동이나 기부 등을 통해 사회공헌을 실천하고 있다. 당위성이 우선 시 되는 정보보호도 마찬가지. 지난 몇 년간 대형 웹 서비스 기업을 중심으로 정보보호에 대한 사회적 책임을 강조하는 목소리가 커지고 있다. 온라인 게임 서비스를 제공하는 넥슨도 이런 사회적 책임을 요구받는 기업 중 하나다.

The Discourse associated with mental illness on TV documentaries : The Completion of Distinction (TV 다큐멘터리가 생성한 정신장애 담론 : 구별짓기의 완성)

  • This paper discusses the type of discourse associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness in the context of TV documentary. Discourse is an linguistic product which prescribes and interprets the reality and reconstructs the reality systematically. Therefore, TV documentary contents illuminate the dominant discourse associate with mental illness through the diverse types of representation. We picked four TV documentaries from each public channels and analyzed these documentaries using Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis. Faircough suggests the analysis frame consisting of three level. The analysis reveals that TV documentaries produce the discourse "the Completion of Distinction" associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness. TV documentaries suggest the reason why we distinct them from us in textual level. In discourse practice level, they suggest the method and the principal agent of distinction. For social practice, TV documentaries reinforce the dual attitude of viewer. Alternative discourse associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness will be constructed when individuals with mental illness recovers the status of principal agents and produces strong voices about themselves.

A Case Study on Application of the NABI Program to Realize the 'Practice Centered Mechanism of Manifesting Character' ('실천 중심 인성 발현 메커니즘' 구현을 위한 NABI 프로그램의 적용 사례)

  • Today, in accordance with emphasizing the importance of character education, science educators have tried to implement character education in the field of science education. Therefore, this research aims to confirm the possibility of the realization of 'Practice Centered Mechanism of Manifesting Character' developed on the basis of character education theory through the application of the NABI Program based on Nature-Study. For this, the NABI program was applied to 24 3rd grade students of an elementary school for a period of ten months. Qualitative data was collected like students' reports, journals, and video recording of the classes. This data was classified into 'value, judgment, action,' the steps of 'Practice Centered Mechanism of Manifesting Character,' and text was written by interpreting the data. The research resulted in the following: First, students formed 'value' by making a connection with the objects. And the various values - individual, interpersonal, social, ecological, and spiritual - are formed according to the type of objects with which the students felt a connection to. Second, students need to judge the problems of the real world at the 'judgment' step. Third, at the 'action' step, students practice moral behavior in relation to the sympathy or feeling they felt with the objects that they made a connection to. In conclusion, 'Practice Centered Mechanism of Manifesting Character' can be realized through the application of the NABI Program. The NABI Program can be a definite way to implement character education in the field of science education.

The Contents of Jubilee Education for Jubilee Justice (주빌리 정의를 위한 주빌리 교육의 내용)

  • Many people are suffering from the economic crisis and poverty that are deepening due to the recent spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. In this situation, this study focuses on the biblical Jubilee in order to seek how "Jubilee justice" can be realized in the modern context. The Law of Jubilee consists of four contents: the liberation of slaves, debt remission, land return and fallow. Ultimately it aims to prevent human slavery and preserve equality. Nevertheless, the thought of Jubilee has been distorted theologically and situationally, and as a result, it has been overlooked in the field of Christian education, and there is a limit in Christian practice for social justice. The thought of Jubilee, however, can be an alternative to overcome various problems of modern society such as the issue of the privatization of Christianity or the deepening of polarization caused by neoliberal globalization and can contribute positively to the practice of social justice. In other words, the thought of Jubilee can act as a biblical initiative in reforming wrong laws and establishing institutions for the poor on the institutional level; on the personal level, it can be a great motive in terms of the change of perception and the practice of the sharing economy. Jubilee education, which aims for Jubilee justice, helps to break the misconceptions and change the existing meaning perspectives on the basis of various interdisciplinary knowledge and supports social behavior for transforming social structure through activation of public opinion and fund raising at the practical level. Therefore, the learners of Christian education can play a public role in transforming the unjust society.

A Qualitative Study for Building up the Concept of Culture Welfare (문화복지 개념 정립을 위한 질적 연구 - 휴먼서비스 실천가들의 인식을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to build up the concept of culture welfare. For this purpose, we analyzed the practitioners' understanding about culture welfare in culture and social welfare by Modified Grounded Theory Approach. The results showed that the practitioners did not understand the concept of culture welfare clearly, and revealed being in confusion. Their understandings about culture welfare were classified into five types, 1) a type denying a terminology, culture welfare itself, 2) a type without awareness about culture welfare, 3) a type regarding culture welfare as sub realm in the special domain of culture and social welfare, 4) a type undividing and integrating culture and social welfare, 5) a type recognizing an independent domain of culture welfare. But despite of large deviation like this, the practitioners were common to give emphasis on giving opportunities to everyone in the enjoyment of culture, for heightening the quality of life. Summing up, culture welfare is defined as 'all direct and indirect effort in culture and arts, in a narrow sense to economical vulnerable class, and in a broad sense to everyone, to raise cultural susceptibility, creative thinking, and potential competence for realization a life worthy of man. The significance of this study is in establishment the definite and practical concept of culture welfare through a deep analysis the practitioners' understanding. This will give the theoretical basis to the study and the development of various programs in culture welfare.

Direction of Praxis of Home Economics Education for the Transformation of Future Society Drawn from the Habermas's Critical Theory (Habermas의 비판이론에 기초한 미래 사회 변혁을 이끄는 가정교육학의 실천 방향 탐색)

  • This study aims to examine the prospecting view of future society from a critical perspective, and to explore the direction of home economics education that can lead to transformation of future society from Habermas's critical theory. For this, Habermas's critical theory was understood, and the direction was explored in which field should act to guide future society when home economics education took a critical science perspective. Direction for praxis of home economics education was explored in both lifeworld and system area of society based on the critical theory that individuals, families and society are mutually beneficial and continue through interactions. The praxis of home economics education from a critical science perspective has been found through examples of IFHE's advocacy and policy participation activities. In conclusion, it supported the reason that home economics education as a critical science should form a social, political and economic system as well as lifeworld with valued human conditions and practice professional activities in academic, daily life and societal areas which will lead to the critical and participatory changes in individual and family life.

Analysis of Cognition Pattern of a College Student's Occupational View on Social Welfare Position (사회복지사직에 대한 사회복지학과 학생의 인식유형)

  • This research is involved in looking into the cognition pattern of social worker position of a fourth-year student majoring in Social Welfare. The purpose of this research is to offer a basic data needed for education of the students who are preparing to get a job of a social worker. For this, applying Q methodology, this research made an objective analysis of their subjective response to social worker position targeting the 30 students in the department of social welfare at the four-year-course college located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The research results showed that the cognition pattern of the college students' occupational view on social welfare position could be categorized into the three; The first pattern is a "job-skeptic & reality-evasive" type, who tends to perceive the position of a social worker as the one having a lot of job exhaustion and much workload, showing a pessimistic view on the meaning or a sense of mission of a social worker position. The second pattern is a "practice-centered & specialized-job-seeking type" who tends to think much of practical aspects of a social worker job and to seek after the position of a social worker as a specialized job, and at the same time to rely on the policy or system for a social worker position. The third pattern is a "value-oriented & self-achievement type", who tends to think much of the necessity of value or ethics in putting social welfare into practice and also to make much of self-achievement through the channel of a social welfare worker position. Taken together, it might be possibile to turn out professional human resources, but this research thinks it is more necessary to place the education of values of a social welfare worker.
