In modern society the architecture surface involves a lot of meaning other than having simple physical functions. The interface space generated by the surface characteristics among those becomes to have many significances in modern society, and plays a role of symbolic space of a city. The interface space is threshold space that connects two separate spaces and revitalize its states. Nowadays, people have many chances to communicate each other through the interface space and also settle urban problems caused by spacial and functional discontinuity through the interface space. However, the interface space in Korea could not be built up well due to rapid growth of cities, and a lot of different natures in space and viewpoint have been appeared accordingly, which gives rise to a problem of the discontinuity of urban spaces. Therefore, this study aims at the research on the characteristics of interface space through architecture surface composing the major factor of a city; architecture integument in Nam-po Dong, Jung Gu, Busan City as the object of the study.

This study analyzed the consciousness, unconsciousness, and individuation process of 'Cheongmyeong', the protagonist presented in the webtoon "Return of the Blossoming Blade", based on Jung's theory of individuation. The subject of the research was the webtoon "Return of the Blossoming Blade", which has formed a readership across various genders and age groups, based on a successful web novel. The individuation process of the protagonist of "Return of the Blossoming Blade", analyzed using Jung's theory, is as follows: Firstly, the protagonist's ego originated from the shadow derived from the unconscious. Secondly, the protagonist's persona is social and positive in reality, but the personal persona manifested as an unrevealed shadow. Thirdly, the protagonist's anima/animus connects the profound inner consciousness with reality, maintaining a complementary relationship with the persona. Fourthly, the protagonist's Self symbolizes the collective ideal human and the essence of the volcano. The protagonist was shown to achieve individuation through a continuous repetitive process of integrating consciousness and unconsciousness, and through the compensatory process.

This research is a phenomenological case study to find about the process of becoming alcohol dependence among women, with a lifetime contextual point of view. The first phenomenon which participants experience within their lifetime was 'incomplete relationship'. This was a trigger to become alcohol dependence. The researchers whom participated in this research focused on the first alcohol intake. The first drink has been given a unique meaning as 'characteristic symbol system'. While the participants were choosing alcohol, dailiness, a continuum of daily life emerged. With dailiness aspect, alcohol dependence goes through a process of 'invasion or penetration'. Through these processes alcohol dependent experience among women became 'meaninglessness and mirage'. According to these results undertone to approach women alcohol dependence was able to be deducted.

This research is about Social Education, Reading Movement and Meaning of the Gyeongseong Library which observe from ethnic viewpoint. The result is same as following. First, The Gyeongseong library is the unique library which korean people build, and they thought very seriously. So, tried to keep this library for a long time. The Gyeongseong library supplied knowledge to Korean, although the life was not long. And, as ethnic business value of the Gyeongseong library was much, too. Second, the Gyeongseong library paid attention to child education and education of women as well as it is our country's first public library. And accomplished social education institution's role. Third, readers' of the library was that man was most and the fair readers was minor part, and student was mainly(distinction of sex and profession tendency). And literature, language study etc. got to read most.

The purpose of this study is to explore the Iranian Woman Film Director Samira Makhmalbaf and her cinema world. Samira represents Iranian Islamic social problem base on her woman identity, and She is a symbolic director who is working Iranian new wave at the 21th. She has directed five movies as (1998), (2000), (2002), (2003), (2008). For this study, explore traits of esthetics, subject and context meaning by analyzing representative three movies. Lastly examines significance of his movies in Iranian film history. In terms of esthetics, she tends to combinate between metaphor and reality, And, In thematic consciousness, consistently describes Islamic women's lives and liberty, anti-war and peace, sympathy for the under-privileged, etc. She inherits the tradition of Iranian third wave 'Children Cinema', and simultaneously tries to overcome Iranian art film tradition. Director Samira Makhmalbaf is a symbol of progress and change in Iranian film history, and is opening the new future of Iranian film.

특정 제품이 가진 "감성 이미지"란 그 제품의기능과 함께 제품의 감각적 요소 그리고 사용자가 제품에 대해 가진 개념적인 사고 과정의 산물이다. 감성이미지의 국제 비교 연구는 사용자가 특정 제품에 대해 가지고 있는 이미지를 국가나 문화의 맥락 속에서 상호 비교 평가하여, 각 국가나 사회집단을 특팅지울 수 있는 문화적 감성 요소를 추출하고자 하는 것이다. 즉, 각 국가의 생활문화 속에서 사용자들이 제품에 대해 가지는 감성이미지를 계량적으로 규명하고 비교 평가하며, 이 정보를 기초로 각국의 문화와 정서에 적합한 제품 디자인의 모형을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구방법은 우선, 자동차 제품을 중심으로 '제품 이미지'를 나타내는 '언어 이미지'스케일을 각 문화 집단 별로 구성한다. 이 제품 이미지에 대비하여, 감성적 요소로 선정된 표준 색채 스케일을 중심으로 나타난 집단의 '이미지'를 상호 비교 평가한다. 이 경우, 각 국가별 집단에서 특징적으로 나타나는 제품의 주요 특성이 감성 이미지로 표현되는 색채 이미지에 어떻게 반영되는가를 상호 비교한다. 이 연구에서는 특정 지역의 사람들이 제품에 적용하는 감성이미지는 색채나 기타 감성 요소에 대한 선호의 문제가 아니라 그 집단의 사람들이 그 제품을 통해 표현하고자 하는 사회적 표상의 반영이라는 것을 보여준다. 따라서, 제품의 이미지가 각 국가별로 공유되는 감성 이미지로 변환되기 위해서는 동일한 의미나 상징성을 지닌 감성 요소를 활용하여 그 제품의 이미지를 포장할 수 있는 방법을 적용하는것이다. 본 연구에서는 각 문화 집단들이 특정 제품에 대해 가지고 있는 사회적 표상(social representation) 체계를 색채스케일에서 나타난 감성 이미지를 통해 구체화하는 것이다.로서는 방전효율의 저하가 없는 양호한 성능을 보였으며, SC의 시범 작동시험을 실차(소나타 1800cc)에 장착하여 수행한 결과 20회 이상의 연속시동에서도 아무런 문제점 없이 잘 동작하였다.되는 데이타를 입력한후 마우스로 원하는 작업의 메뉴를 선택하면 된다. 방법을 타액과 혈청내 testosterone 농도 측정에 응용하여 RIA의 결과와 비교하여 본 바 상관관계가 타액에서 r=0.969, 혈청에서 r=0.990으로 두 결과가 잘 일치하였다. 본 실험에서 측정된 한국인 여성의 타액내 testosterone농도는 107.7$\pm$12.0 pmol／l이었고, 남성의 타액내 농도는 274.2$\pm$22.1 pmol／l이었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 연구에서 정립된 EIA 방법은 RIA를 대신하여 소규모의 실험실에서도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.또한 상실기 이후 배아에서 합성되며, 발생시기에 따라 그 영향이 다르고 팽창과 부화에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. 더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea. China has had many excellent Chinese-style animation since the 1950s. These animations are of distinctive Chinese national characteristics. They have won many awards both at home and abroad, such as "Feelings of Mountains and Waters", "Uproar In Heaven", "Why is the Crow Black-Coated" and so on. But nowadays, Chinese animations that mimics Japanese and American animation are very often, and there are few animation works with rich traditional Chinese culture. There are some works in the name of Chinese style, but they have not been fully accepted by the audiences. If one wants to create animated works of Chinese style, the author must have an in-depth understanding of Chinese traditional and folk art. Animation can not be designed only on the surface. This paper mainly studies the traditional five color concept in China and its application in animation. The purpose is to provide some references to differentiate Chinese animation from other countries in terms of style and color. The main content of this paper is to understand the concept and history of Chinese traditional five color views, and to know that this color system has reflected the ancestors' concept of nature and society. On the basis of five monochromatic colors, red, yellow, green, white and black, it is a kind of complex color concept that has been developed and perfected continuously after a long period of accumulation and precipitation in the practice of life. It is the theoretical basis of Chinese traditional color system and a complete set of historical, cultural, philosophical and religious theories. Finally, this paper analyzes the colors and their symbolic meanings of the main roles in "Uproar In Heaven", a color long animation produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio, including Sun Wukong, the Jade Emperor and Na Zha. Color is the first visual language. The use of color symbols to express the inner feelings, status, good and evil of the characters will affect the audience's emotions, behaviors and opinions imperceptibly. The traditional Chinese five color concept has gone through such a long history, and its symbolic meaning has a more profound impact on Chinese people. Applying the color concept and symbolic meaning of Chinese traditional five color concept will further highlight the personalities and emotions of the roles in Chinese style animations. This paper takes the five-color view as the theoretical basis, and through the analysis of cartoons with traditional Chinese color, the author finds ways to flexibly use traditional Chinese culture.

As we are aware that the image of corporation is so crucial to survive in this serious competition, so the importance of CI is constantly emphasized. The importance of CI has been started with the advent of Industrial Society in early 1900s, and now we are flooded with hundreds of CIs as this modem society shifts into ultramodern, diverse, and subdivided one. At this point, we could not say that the final purposes of CI are to represent the corporation, and let everybody know about it. The only way to survive in this situation where we are inundated with lots of CIs is to specialize and differentiate the image of corporation from those of others. The British Airways succeeded in making new CI with new and innovative ideas-daringly break from its old one-to cope with totally different market for the present and future. It did not follow the traditional way which relies only on the visual factor. It produced the original, symbolic, and individual images that could represent the countries where its planes go. And the individual images could be seen on the tail of the plane. A new Corporate Identity of British Airways with this original idea could obtain excellent results to draw a distinction between other corporations

This article attempts to analyze John Greenleaf Whittier's anti-slavery poems. As a Quaker, he criticizes and satirizes the rife slavery in the mid nineteenth century. His thoughts are based on his religious belief. "The Farewell of a Virginia Slave Mother" depicts the mother who lost daughter for she was sold to the South. The harsh state of the corrupt South is described. In "Massachusettes to Virginia," the speaker, deploring the moral corruption of Virginia, denounces any attempt to return slaves to slave states. With a moonrise as a socio-political symbol, "Arisen at Last" celebrates the passage of law to protect fugitive slaves. Written after the Civil War, "The Peace Autumn" celebrates the peaceful situation in which Emancipation was declared. His efforts contributed to the abolitionist literature.

For the past 20 years, expert groups and citizens in Korea have debated on the usefulness of personalized medicine. These debates were mainly focussed on the possibility of the promise - people mainly discussed whether it was a probable future or if it was just a hype. Following Hedgecoe and Tutton(2002) who argue that it is only a 'rhetorial device', we will analyze about 9,000 news media coverages that deal with personalized medicine. With these data, we will show that the same terminology of personalized medicine have been used very differently according to the time and people who use it. Our research will show that this term has both diachronic heterogeneity and synchronic equivocality. This has happened because of the innate lack that exists in our symbolic system. Policy and governance regarding new technology is important because they provide quilting point to those slippery term/signifiant. Also we would like to carefully suggest that we might be able to call this phenomena as signifiant-politics.
