  • Variable displacement swash plate piston pump analysis requires electric, hydraulics and dynamics which are similar to the one's incorporated in the complex fluid power and mechanical systems. The main variable capacity for the swash plate piston pumps, hydraulics or simple kinematic (swash plate degree, piston displacement) models are analyzed using AMESim, a multi-physics analysis program. AMESim is a multi-physics hydraulic analysis program that is considered good for the environment but not appropriate for environmental analysis for multibody dynamics. In this study, the analytical model of the swash plate type hydraulic piston pump variable capacity is modeled by combining the hydraulic part and the dynamic part through co-simulation of multibody dynamics program (Virtual.lab Motion) and multi-physics analysis (AMESim). This paper describes the whole modeling analysis method on the mechanical analysis of the multi-body dynamics program and how the hydraulic analysis in multi-physics analysis program works. This paper also presents a methodology for analyzing complex fluid power systems.

  • In this paper, a flow analysis of a swash-plate type hydraulic piston pump installed on a hydraulic flow supply system for marine vessels is presented. A model and governing equations for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyses of swash-plate type hydraulic piston pumps were built, and simulation results regarding the internal flow field of the pump were obtained. By analyzing the internal flow of the swash-plate type hydraulic piston pump, we can confirm the time-dependent stroke of each piston as the pump rotates. We also verified that by analyzing the pulsating flow against the slope of the swash plate, the simulation results match well with the experimental results. The natural frequency of the system was computed to be approximately 380 Hz by applying and analyzing the fast Fourier transform (FFT) of each swash plate slope evaluated.

  • 유압 피스톤 펌프에서, 고속 상대운동을 하는 실린더 블록과 밸브 플레이트는 누설 및 마찰 손실의 최적화를 위해 극단적으로 제어되어야 하는 특성을 가지고 있으며, 내압 특성 설계는 고압 성능에 매우 중요하지만 이에 대한 응력 해석에 관한 연구가 활발하게 수행되지는 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CATIA V5를 사용한 정적 응력 해석을 통하여 사판식 유압 피스톤 펌프의 실린더 블록과 밸브 플레이트의 응력과 변위를 해석하고자 하였으며, 실린더 블록의 최대응력은 실린더 뒷부분 동 재질의 접합 소재에 발생하며, 축방향에 비해 반경방향 작용압력이 응력과 변위에 더 큰 영향을 주고, 응력은 약 66%, 변위는 약 30% 더 크게 나타났다. 밸브 플레이트의 경우 재질 및 형상에 대한 검토가 요구됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this study, modeling and numerical simulations has been performed to investigate performance characteristics of constant power regulator system for swash plate type axial piston pump. The commercial numerical simulation software, AMESim was applied for analyzing the dynamic behavior of constant power regulator system of swash plate axial piston pump. The validity of simulation model of constant power regulator system is verified by comparing simulation results with experiments. Also, the behavior of main components of constant power regulator system such as spool, sleeve and counterbalance piston is investigated using the results of computer simulation.

  • The closed circuit pump is applied to control rotating speed and direction of hydraulic motor in hydrostatic transmission. To development of this pump, first of all the servo control regulator has to be designed. Mechanical-hydraulic type servo control mechanism is excellent to be compared with electronic-hydraulic type servo control valve to reliability and economy. In this paper to development positive and negative variable displacement type servo regulator, the hydro-mechanical servo control mechanism is calculated and designed with force balance of pilot piston and position feedback of servo piston.

  • Noise reduction for hydraulic pump is strongly demanded in the market with its efficiency and durability. In order to meet this demand, it is necessary to reveal mechanism for noise and relationship between the important factors. In this paper, mathematical model for cylinder pressure which is primary reason of pulsation and sound noise were established, and examined its pressure profile by simulation. Also, the valve plate of three kind types are manufactured and tested for piston pressure, pressure pulsation, and sound power level based on the tentative standard which is officially recognized.

사판식 피스톤 펌프 흡입구의 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics of a Swash-Plate Piston-Pump Inlet)

  • In this study, a cavitation occurrence in a piston-pump inlet was investigated by simulating the pressure distribution, according to the inlet shape of a variable-displacement swash-plate piston pump that supplies high-pressure oil to control the hydraulic system of a marine engine. Two types of pump inlets with different shapes were cast into impression models, and the models were reverse-engineered by 3D scanning. Then, the hydraulic-pressure distribution was analyzed through finite-element analysis. The results of the analysis confirmed that cavitation occurs more easily in the inlet with a steeper slope during pump operation because the inlet pressure on the valve plate is lower than that of the other pump with a gentler inlet slope.

  • In this study, a variable displacement swash plate pump supplying high-pressure hydraulic oil to control the hydraulic system of a marine engine was developed. A structural analysis was performed on the main parts of the pump to ensure the structural safety in the design. Using a pump testing equipment, performance characteristics such as no-load flow rate, load flow rate, flow rate according to the swivel angle change, flow rate with lubrication orifice, and response time according to the swivel motion were tested. Consequently, the pump was confirmed to satisfy the required specifications.

  • 본 연구는 컴퓨터 해석프로그램 SimulationX로 압력 유량 제어형 사판식 피스톤 펌프의 해석모델을 개발하여 설계의 타당성을 검증하는 것을 다룬다. 설계도면의 제원을 바탕으로 해석모델을 개발하게 되면 프로토타입 제작 이전에 설계의 유효성을 미리 판단할 수 있고 이로 인해 제작상의 반복적 오류를 범하지 않기 때문에 개발비 절감의 효과를 가져올 수 있다. 해석모델 개발의 진행순서는 다음과 같다. 먼저 동역학적 요소가 포함된 밸브, 회전부 등의 각 부품의 구조를 분석하고 도면의 제원을 반영하여 단품 모델링을 한다. 각각의 해석모델을 조합하여 펌프 어셈블리 모델링을 하고 이것이 설계의도에 맞게 부하조건에 따른 압력 유량제어 기능을 원활히 수행할 수 있는지 파악한다. 모델링 절차의 마지막에는 예상했던 메카니즘대로 부품들이 움직이는 모습을 보여줌으로서 설계의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • In this paper, a structural stability analysis of the swash plate hydraulic piston pump installed on hydraulic supply systems in marine vessels is presented. In order to verify the integrity of the pump design, a standard structural analysis technique based on the finite element method has been applied for various operating and boundary conditions. For the maximum operational torque (223 N·m) at 5°, 10°, and 15° of the swash plate angle, the maximum deformation, equivalent stress and safety factor are evaluated. The analytical results show that under current operating conditions, the structural reliability of the design has been confirmed.
