  • Digital Signage, a way of advertising or delivering information to viewers through digital displays, has expanded from being just an advertising channel in public places. Recently, it has become widely prevalent in restaurants and retail stores. Despite its wide expansion, digital signage is limited to specific usages and services and the devices it uses are also quite expensive. This study introduces a stick-type digital signage product that operates on Android OS, which addresses all the weaknesses of digital signage with much more reasonable pricing and stable operation. For stability, performance tests were executed on the hardware and applications. The results for hardware performance were extremely promising, as each scenario's maximum performance results, measured by Load Runner programs, reached target indexes. Also, as a result of the usability test, all participants, including non-digital signage system users (novices), were able to easily learn all the tasks. As a result of user satisfaction survey, positive responses were exhibited for ease of learning and usability (LEU), helpfulness and problem solving capabilities (HPSC), affective aspect and multimedia properties (AAMP), commands and minimal memory load (CMML), and control and efficiency (CE).

  • In the future we are likely to see the development of public media with traditional media is out of the screen using a digital signage media facade. The purpose of searching for effective production and planning methods and message effects when planning messages the public can empathize with and accept. In this paper, we want to include the utilization of production techniques and media facade by applying culture and art and presenting how this can be applied to corporate advertising.

  • k-beauty라는 키워드가 생겨날 만큼 한류 팬들의 국내 화장품과 한류 스타들의 화장법에 관한 관심과 애정이 커지고 있다. 이로 인해 뷰티숍 간의 경쟁은 치열해지고 있으며 이에 따라 브랜드의 차별화가 필요하게 되었다. 또한, 현재 인터넷이나 매체들에서 볼 수 있는 k-beauty에 관한 정보는 매우 다양하고 방대하여 선택에 있어서 사용자들이 효율적인 접근보다는 불편함을 느끼게 한다. 따라서 국내 화장품을 목적으로 한국을 찾는 한류 팬들에게 정보의 효율적인 선택을 제공하고 흥미를 유발하며 그들을 효과적으로 유치하기 위한 디지털 사이니지에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

  • 팬데믹이후 온라인 커뮤니케이션이 가속화되면서 개인화의 현상이 두드러지고 있는 가운데 도시의 정보시스템의 많은 부분들이 디지털 트윈으로 가고 있다. 때문에 오프라인의 사이니지 등은 이미 개인화에 익숙한 사용자에게 만족도나 낮고 이를 반영하여 다양화시키기에는 많은 예산이 소요되며 물리적 한계가 있다. 본 연구는 사용자 중심 프로세스의 기술 융합 연구를 통해 이러한 오프라인 정보 표기와 전달 등의 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 이러한 목적을 가지고 개인화 기반 도시 인포메이션 시스템의 물리적 사이니지와의 정보 데이터 간의 상호운용을 실현화하는 연구를 진행하였다. QR 코드 등 비쥬얼 코드-기반 기존의 인터랙션 기술들의 장점을 활용하고 AI 기반의 필터 시스템을 도입하여 도시 복합정보데이터와 개인데이터와의 연동 및 변별 시스템을 설계하여 AR서비스 환경을 디자인 하였다. 개인화 서비스를 위하여 'Personal Data'와 타사용자의 'Feedback Data를 기존의 클라우드 정보와 AI-Analytic-Process에 개입시켜서 개인화 기반의 서비스 시스템 모델로 개발하였다.

  • 멀티비전 사이니지는 한 개의 콘텐츠를 분할하여 여러 디스플레이 기기에서 표출하거나, 동일한 콘텐츠(예; 비디오)를 여러 기기에서 동기를 맞춰 동시에 표출 혹은, 시차별로 표출할 수 있는 사이니지를 말한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티비전의 콘텐츠 분할 표출 및 재생 동기화 달성을 위한 대시보드에서의 레이아웃 구성 및 레이아웃 포맷 설계, 다수의 디스플레이 간의 콘텐츠 동기화 재생을 위한 네트워킹 프로토콜 설계에 대한 연구·개발 방안을 제안한다.

Digital Signage service through Customer Behavior pattern analysis

  • Product recommendation services that have been researched recently are only recommended through the customer's product purchase history. In this paper, we propose the digital signage service through customers' behavior pattern analysis that is recommending through not only purchase history, but also behavior pattern that customers take when choosing products. This service analyzes customer behavior patterns and extracts interests about products that are of practical interest. The service is learning extracted interest rate and customers' purchase history through the Wide & Deep model. Based on this learning method, the sparse vector of other products is predicted through the MF(Matrix Factorization). After derive the ranking of predicted product interest rate, this service uses the indoor signage that can interact with customers to expose the suitable advertisements. Through this proposed service, not only online, but also in an offline environment, it would be possible to grasp customers' interest information. Also, it will create a satisfactory purchasing environment by providing suitable advertisements to customers, not advertisements that advertisers randomly expose.

  • This research enables the user to have access to the desired service which is on the multi-platform display device by establishment customized Digital Signage System using the SaaS method. This system is significantly favorable due to the following points: the expandibility and portability is outstanding compared with the existing signage system, establishment expenses may be reduced because the platform can be established in various configurations independently, maintenance and management, and the strong point of the system is that costs can be reduced due to the fact that the electric power can be controlled according to environmental situations. Various researches should be conducted simultaneously such as researches on automatic pattern recognition technologies which recognizes the sex, age, location among other data of the user and various methods of image processing for the production of contents to elaborate lively contents to provide diverse experience and enjoyable configurations for the future generation.

  • The multi-screen image system could make the audiences appreciate contents without special devices by expansively composing the images played on a single screen to many facets suitable for the use, which could provide the great immersiveness to the audiences. Based on the recent interest in realistic images, it is produced as films through the multi-projection technology such as Screen X or Escape, and it is developed into the media that could deliver stories and information. Also, the size of display tends to gradually get larger while the image quality is improved to high definition. Thus, the development is accelerated in the form of Digital Signage that could play the high definition image contents by solidly composing many HD or UHD display screens. Moreover, through the convergence of digital technologies, it is developed into the higher value-added industry that could have two-way communication. This study aims to understand the developmental history of multi-screen image from 1950 to the present, technical analysis, and the production method, and then to research how to minimize the image degradation when playing the contents, in various platforms using the multi-screen image.
