Advanced Web Services Retrieval System using Matchmaking Algorithm (매치메이킹 알고리즘을 이용한 개선된 웹서비스 검색 시스템)

  • Recently, semantic web technology, represented by ontology building, is being combined with web services technology, creating 'Semantic Web Services' as a new promising field in information retrieval research. Accordingly, many brokering and matchmaking agents are being developed and used in the field. However, literature review revealed that most models do not take QoS(Quality of Services) into consideration. In this study, a QoS-augmented matchmaking algorithm is developed based on service availability, response time, maximum transaction amount, reliability, accessibility and price as critical QoS items. A prototype for Intelligent Semantic Web Services System is developed using publicly available data. Performance test was conducted and reported at the end.

  • Digital TV broadcasting technology is recognized as a very encouraging technological development by koreans because of high-definition, multi-channel and interactive services which would broaden the viewers choice and promote people's prosperity. The technological development of digital TV service is a drastic change for people's convenience and would be a major media of‘e-government’in Korea. Digital TV Program UI will affect to people's esthetic sense and information efficiency. The information search pattern in TV is different from it of computer which has lead interactive media so far This research verifies the reasonable information display method through the usability test based on former related researches. For the case study, Interactive EPG design of SkyLife is selected and reviewed. This research includes the design development of interactive EPG of DVB-MHP.

  • At present, Authoring tools, which are used to develop the WIPI applications are less convenient to be coded. Usually, the programming tools only focus on the grammar while scarcity of visualization. Developer forced directly codes all times during the development by this cause. As a procedure for rapid WIPI Application Development, in this paper, WIPI API High Level Component is first visualized, in order words, graphic control is developed. Second this control is used in designing the mobile layout. Then UI Markup Language and source code can be generated automatically. With this view, we propose the JIML(Jlet Interface Markup Language) with UI Markup Language based XML of WIPI Jlet Platform and also present the transformable rule for generation to the WIPI code about WIPI Jlet UI from offered JIML. Also we implement the WIPI Jlet Generation System to make the generation to JIML, WIPI code. The Implemented System provides efficiency when developing WIPI Business Application, and helps to enable rapid development.

  • The needs for the OpenGL-family of the rendering library standards are highly increasing, especially for the graphical human-machine Interface on the various systems including smart phones and personal information devices. Additionally, in the case of safety-critical market for avionics, military, medical and automotive applications, OpenGL SC, the safety critical profile of the OpenGL library plays the major role for the graphical interfaces. In this paper, we represent our OpenGL SC emulation library on the OpenGL 1.x rendering pipeline which is widely available on the existing embedded systems, to provide the features of OpenGL SC standard cost-effectively. Our method can provide the OpenGL SC features at the low development cost on the embedded systems, and its implementation is also one of the fundamental elements for the emulation of embedded systems in the PC environment. Our final result now works on both of Linux-based and VxWORKS systems, showing correct execution results at the reasonable speed.

Mobile Gesture Recognition using Dynamic Time Warping with Localized Template (지역화된 템플릿기반 동적 시간정합을 이용한 모바일 제스처인식)

  • Recently, gesture recognition methods based on dynamic time warping (DTW) have been actively investigated as more mobile devices have equipped the accelerometer. DTW has no additional training step since it uses given samples as the matching templates. However, it is difficult to apply the DTW on mobile environments because of its computational complexity of matching step where the input pattern has to be compared with every templates. In order to address the problem, this paper proposes a gesture recognition method based on DTW that uses localized subset of templates. Here, the k-means clustering algorithm is used to divide each class into subclasses in which the most centered sample in each subclass is employed as the localized template. It increases the recognition speed by reducing the number of matches while it minimizes the errors by preserving the diversities of the training patterns. Experimental results showed that the proposed method was about five times faster than the DTW with all training samples, and more stable than the randomly selected templates.

  • Recently, with the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the diversified industrial base and stable employment market have led to increased concern on the metropolis centered manufacturing. However, To enhance the added value and competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in Seoul, it is necessary to develop specialized smart-based technology and production, and to establish a collaborative system among various businesses in the areas of planning, production, and logistics. Accordingly, I planned a service that is necessary for activation of the urban manufacturing industry in Dongdaemun area of Seoul to enable designers to construct an infrastructure for direct production. The proposed content is a hands-on application that provides information to producers who want to make their own unique products with which they can buy materials from Dongdaemun, Cheonggyecheon, and Uljiro areas.

  • This paper presents a new real-time system design methodology for embedded system as well as event-driven real time application. It is required to implement a deadline handling mechanism in order to satisfy a large-scale distributed real time application. When we design real time system, it has handled a deadline and is important to measure / control a timing issue. These timing constraints usually associated with an interface between model and system. There are many case tools that supporting a real time application, for example, UML, graphic language for designing real time system, but they cannot provide efficient way to handle deadline miss. Therefore, users have to design deadline handler manually when they need to use it. This paper contributes solving the problems of user-level deadline handling for an embedded system. Also, it also discusses an efficient deadline handler design mechanism using on RoseRT, which is a graphical CASE tool supporting from UML.

Development and Applications of A Paternity and Kinship Analysis System Based on DNA Data (유전자 분석 자료에 의한 친자 및 혈연관계 분석시스템 개발 및 활용)

  • Recently, DNA data of missing person, killed person, and missing child continue to increase but most of statistical calculation for paternity confirmation is being done through manual methods or Excel. Therefore, we need development of a software which is able to facilitate both systematic management and effective analysis of Short Tandem Repeat (STR) derived from DNA data. Without extensive testing, through a twenty-month study was developed a web-based system which performs paternity analysis and kinship analysis easily based on the various options. The former uses an existing algorithm for paternity index and the latter does Identity by descent (IBD) formula. Due to our system validated over real datasets in terms of likelihood ratio and probability of paternity, it ensures increased reliability as well as effective management and analysis of DNA data in mass disaster. In addition, it includes advanced features such as an integrated environment, user-centered interface, process automation and so on.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a design model of a smart jacket incorporating MP3 functionality for commercial use, as one of the digital lines of textile to apply If technology. In order to conduct this study, the previous studies were analyzed and usability and wearability tests were conducted using five prototype design models of smart wear with MP3 functionality. Accordingly, the smart jacket incorporating MP3 functionality for commercial use, for which user-centered interface, usability and wearability were completed, was developed by optimizing the design and location of the input interface, control module, the path of wires and earphone etc., based on textile wire and keypad. The smart jacket targets the female dress market from late-teens to early twenties. It will be a high value commodity considers all aspects of recent fashion trends, consumers' emotional satisfaction and the value of digital wear.

Performance Analysis of Campus Inter-library Loan on Library Automation (캠퍼스 상호대차서비스 전산화에 따른 성과 분석)

  • Generally, we used to provide ILL to users for overcoming the limited resource and satisfying user's desires for information. ILL makes library service's paradigm change from ownership to sharing. K-university Library has been providing Campus inter-library loan as ILL to users for long time and continually trying to improve the service's quality. This case study is to analysis the performance of campus inter-library loan in the past 9 years. As the related automation system was developed and upgraded, the service requests have been increasing annually. Campus inter-library loan requests were 12% of total book requests in 2001, and then were 75% of total book requests in 2008. The transaction time was reduced until 17% of 2004.
