Implementation of a Mobile Agent Platform for Handheld Devices to Access the SNMP MIB (SNMP MIB 액세스를 위한 휴대단말기용 이동에이전트 플랫폼)

  • Due to rapid development of high speed wire/wireless internet technologies, at the current age, it cares into being one phenomenon that the internet business is able to work on anyplace and anytime. In this environment, a technology of mobile agent provides very useful mechanism for personal handheld devices because of supporting migration as autonomously executable software object Instead of users. Therefore, this paper focuses on Implementing a mobile agent platform for personal handheld devices, which supports mobile agents in wire/wireless internet environment. To do this, we construct the system with modified JAMAS, based on Java, in our previous research. Based on our proposed system, we implement the browsing application in personal handheld devices to access the MIB(Management Information Base) on SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol), which supervises network environment on wire/wireless internet. This proposed application system is easily to access the MIB managed by SNMP agent. then provides network map viewer and updates the MIB through the browser to network administrator. As a result, we can support application area of mobile agents such as hare network management. M-Commerce, integration of remote database systems, active message and active network with personal handheld devices.

  • Recently, non-standard techniques of web like Active-X caused not only user inconvenience but also barriers to the business of Internet. The government recognized that the serious environmental situation of using Internet is needed to be improved. Especially, HTML5 convergence technology is meant to be a specific platform over the devices, users, and systems. It also means web standards to support more creative business service model and emerging market. In this paper, we performed a survey on Web standards compliance and web development professional level of domestic web developers. In addition, we present the basic direction of government policy of software and software-positive human resources policy, that is based on the analysis of the survey results. Our study will be able to contribute to construct policies to support digital convergence industry and to strengthen technical assistance and expertise to build training programs for the spread of global Web standards (HTML5).

  • This study examined the current state of fitness IT which are commercially available, and proposed the prospect and promoting plans for fitness IT. Latest wearable smart market has been reorganized into smart watch market and fitness tracker market. Fitness trackers which are typical devices of fitness IT technology has developed various types of such as watch, band, clothes, glasses, and lens. Until now, the most popular type of fitness tracker are watch and band including clip, necklace, hair band etc.. Also Apple and Google referred to as the two major axes of mobile platform has provided a health-related platform such as "Healthkit" and "Google Fit" for preoccupying the fitness business. The view of the fitness IT has seen a continuous growth trend considering smaller and lighter of fitness-related wearable device. To continuous growth and promote of fitness IT, it is expected to require mash-up a variety of fitness applications and services, ensuring the convenience of user experience, design and resonable price.

  • As becoming the age of ubiquitous, there are many discussion and publication for standards to express platform profile. These various platform profiles have some problems. The solve these problems, we propose and develop a new posting mechanism which improve the performance of contents adaptation engine by simplifying platform profile and processing various type of platform profiles; we introduce the way to integrate different profiles to solve nut to recognize the profile which is used by different adaptation system and simplify platform profile by grouping the similar attributes of platform profiles. Proposed system can processing different profiles and also the system overhead to processing a profile and creating a dynamic profile has reduced. As a result overall performance of content adaptation system has increased.

  • Recently, to enhance the quality and efficiency of health care services, smart health care services utilizing a smart phone and tablet pc are mainly being introduced into the large hospital and the interest for personal health record service which manages personal medical information utilizing PC and smart phone and technology development is actively underway. In order to build a next generation hospital information systems, the interoperability of data between the different hospital information systems and UX consistency between the various user devices must be assured. Therefore, in this paper, medical information standard and the study for improving the performance is conducted to design the gateway system which converting and integrating the medical information under multi-platform environment. In this paper, CCR standard is adapted to the mapping method between the data which is the key feature of the gateway system and design the system utilizing multi-table-based mapping method. To evaluate the performance of the system, experiment was done and the result has been improved approximately 20 percent for response rate.

  • Mobile games will be one of independent industries on game areas and take the fourth standing in the important platform since PC Games, TV Games, and Palm Games. There are several reasons why mobile games will differ in their platform, behaviors, and habits. According to the data of market consultation about the figure of mobile-game players throughout the world, the Mobile game will increase steadily from 780 million in 2007 to 1860 million in 2010. Also, market income will mount up from $42,100 million to $87,000 million. 3D games have been playing important roles in our lives. Satisfying users' needs in high-quality games, they have been growing and attracting more people with their powerful visual effects and the three-dimensional design player. We cannot emphasize their tremendous visual impacts and animation effects too much. This paper displays how to design 3D application based on J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) and shows free movement of 3D objects receiving and responding to the keyboard of mobile devices withWTK (Wireless ToolKit) simulator on the 3D screen.

  • In this paper, we propose an ICT-based smart farm design. At present, the decrease in rural population is naturally inevitable due to the decrease of the total population. The economic burden on each farm grows with increasing labor costs. As a solution to this, the necessity of spreading smart farms using computing resources is emerging. The proposed system utilizes the ICT technology emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We will use big data analysis to collect a large amount of data and propose a platform for managing collected data and providing efficient services. The proposed platform consists of SOA service layer, middleware layer, resource pool layer and physical resource layer. ICT-based smart farm service can reduce costs and be easy to install and manage because ICT-based smart farm service provides only necessary functions from the user's point of view.

  • Today, as a core industry of high value added contents, the field of game received great influences as a complex cultural technical industry of multimedia and such. Users of Mobile Web2.0 will now choose the well-made contents and this has become stronger in relation to the technical advancements of mobile platforms such as the Wibro and HSDPA. Accordingly since the year 2006, the Korea Game Industry Agency has begun a public subscription for functional games to elevate the necessity of changes in social recognition for edu-games. Although the current investment effects of edu-games are being valued relatively low in comparison to the scale, outcome and the transparency of the game industry, the created effects of the value added is very high when compared to other industries. The purpose of this study is placed in the political propositions for the edu-game investments necessary in the quality expansions of edu-game contents.

  • The advancement of computer network technology, coupled with the growing prevalence of Internet, is promoting ubiquitous computing, also called next-generation computing paradigm, as an important study field that many researches are joining and undergoing. In this paper, as the support technology for creating ubiquitous computer environment, we design the SSDLbased on XMLwhich is used for sending and receiving data by USN application service in a standardized form. A ref model, with no regard to different platforms or implementation languages, is proposed in our research on the basis of web service so that most of unspecified users could apply the standardized protocol designed for sensor data to real sensor data in various application environments based on the designed language. Therefore, through this research we can take advantage of acquisition of USN-based technology and technology draft related to application service.

Task Parallelism System of Application for Multicore-Based Mobile Platform (멀티코어 기반 모바일 플랫폼을 위한 애플리케이션의 태스크 병렬화 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a task parallelism system (BioMP) to improve applications' execution time of multicore based mobile device. When application developers append the functions of parallel specification into the existing software, our proposed system supports the parallel processing of threads as well as a compatibility. BioMP improves the software in order that an existing large-scale source can recognize the multicore architecture. From our experiment, our idea improved the execution time of application until about 64% against the existing system in multicore environment based on quad core. In addition, BioMP does not require any additional modification of a mobile platform because BioMP is independent component. Consequently, when application developers release multicore-aware applications into the application store, users can immediately run without any modification of the mobile device.
