Analysis on Montage der Assoziation Shown in the Animation <Paprika> (애니메이션 <파프리카>에서 나타나는 연상 몽타주 분석)

  • This research tries to interpret Montage der Assoziation shown in animations. Eisenstein's 'Montage' is "Montage der Assoziation" where a variety of Montage pieces are combined, symbolizing one aggregate image. Though influenced by Russian Formalist Film Theory and Kuleshov, Pudivkin and Rudolf Amheim, by contraries, he recognized Montage as an issue between an artist and the audience and an anti-representation apparatus. Especially, he developed the mind action issue previously advocated by Eikhenbaum and deemed the audience's role an essential part in completing a film. Montage expression implied in Eisenstein's theory can be regarded as attraction, collision, and dynamic and intellectual Montage. However, with an in-depth approach, Montage der Assoziation can be interpreted by repetitive, relative and juxtaposed analysis. The reason is that animation Montage is a visual action which takes place in a row among scenes and in the frame. This research addresses communications with the audience which are attained by Montage der Assoziation. In other words, this research makes an in-depth access to how Montage der Assoziation appears and communicates with the audience in an animation work.

  • This research provides a new approach for implementing an educational content for Historic Education in order to provide an effective learning environment. From historic educational point of view, it is important to comprehend a historical fact in the context of the situation at that time. So, this paper suggests that the historic content should describe not only information about various relics and ruins but also historical relationship and background. In this system, we provide versatile type of contents to help learners for collecting manifold informations about their interesting era. And this system proffers natural and residential 3D environments, which give learners to understand conceivably and to think collectively. Using the interactions, the learners navigating this virtual world are able to construct their own information system through selecting a interested one among the offered contents in the system and consequently they are getting a scientific thinking power and a creative imagination.

Effect of Bisphenol A, Nonylphenol, Pentachlorophenol on the Proliferation of MCF-1 and PC-3 Cells (Bisphenol A, Nonylphenol, Pentachlorophenol이 MCF-7 및 PC-3 세포 증식에 미치는 영향)

  • In the present study, we have analyzed effects of the endocrine distruptors, such as bisphenol A, nonylphenol and pentachlorophenol, on cell proliferation in the human breast cancer cell line, MCF-7, and the human prostate cancer cell line, PC-3, with MTT method. A dose dependent analysis of the cell proliferation of MCF-7 cells after administration of bisphenol A, nonylphenol and pentachlorophenol revealed a significant induction of cell proliferation. Maximum induction of cell proliferation was observed at concentrations between 10$\^$-7/ and 10$\^$-6/ M. Whereas, these chemicals had little effect on proliferation of PC-3 cells. These results demonstrated that bisphenol A, nonylphenol and pentachlorophenol do not induce proliferation of PC-3 cells but exhibit a significant induction of MCF-7 cell proliferation, suggesting all these chemicals are a estrogen mimic.

  • The aim of this study was to seek for the purpose of social justice of mathematics education based on the understating of a critical race perspectives. This paper is consisted of two parts. First, I analyzed literatures of mathematics education for social justice in order to understand the discussions and concerns related to the topic. Second, I used the selected tenets of critical race theory to examine mathematics education for social justice scholarship. From the analysis, I concluded the current capacity of mathematics education for social justice toward addressing race issues in a mathematics classroom.

On Identity Between Truth Bearer and Fact (진리담지자와 사실 사이의 동일성에 대하여)

  • The identity theory of truth insists that a truth bearer is identical with a fact. First, I will consider how we can make the thesis intelligible. For this, I classify the identity relation which the identity theory discusses into two kind; trivial and non-trivial relation. And I show that the trivial one is not adequate to be qualified to be applied to the identity theory. The non-trivial relation can be adopted in robust or modest way. I argue that the robust kind of identity theory is incoherent itself. Then, I explain why we should compare the modest identity theory with the deflationism. From this comparing, I will draw the consequence that two choices are left to the modest theory. If they choose one way, there is no reason for us to prefer the identity theory to deflationism. On the other hand, in case that they choose the other way, I argue what kinds of interesting problem is left to be solved by the modest theorists. Finally, I will evaluate the limit and prospect of the result of the problem in case that the identity theorists achieve their goal.

  • Whether voluntary or involuntary in the field of education, learner participation is a basic premise for all teaching-learning. It is true that behaviorism and cognitive educational psychology have helped the development of teaching-learning theory so far but the reality is that it has not been of great help to provide learner-centered education according to the learner's learning type. We have professional theological knowledge and insight in theological college and having the knowledge to diagnose and solve difficulties and problems in the pastoral field and it is an increasingly difficult reality to educate students to have spiritual leadership that can lead the future society. We know that each student should understand the characteristics of each student and teach according to their learning type but the reason why it is difficult to implement is that each learner has different competencies, conditions, and cultural backgrounds and has particularly diverse learning types. in this respect, in order to increase the learning effect of individuals, individual learning considering the learning type of students is effective.

Structuralization of CGI Visual Format for Digital Cinema and Digital Animation -Focused on Film - (디지털시네마와 디지털애니메이션을 위한 CGI 시각형식 구조화 -영화<정글북>을 중심으로-)

  • CGI not only performed a crucial role to make cinema and animation evolved into digital cinema and digital animation but also CGI, an important visual format, settled realism-centric spectacle image culture in public commercial cinema and animation. The fact that CGI visual format could be structuralized in three different view points is discovered through Iconicity, photorealism, verisimilitude, uncanny valley, hyperrealism, and spectacular realism discourse research which explain image culture. First, a formative viewpoint that comes up in an iconic difference between drawing and photograph. Secondly, a cognitive viewpoint that sees visually perceived naturalness and abnormality as a realistic probability issue. Lastly, a customary viewpoint which is rooted in aesthetic tradition of cinema and animation. After that, the features of CGI which is used in the movie 'jungle book'(2016) were analyzed using the structured visual format. Consequently, this movie has hyper-realistic photographic iconicity on the base of realistic probability. Also, by following image-aesthetic convention which uses overstated and amplified narrative as a visual format, at the same time, the movie also has sufficient image-aesthetic convention in animation by personified animal character.

A Comparative Study on Potential Entrepreneurships in South Korea and China (한국과 중국의 잠재적 기업가정신 비교 연구)

  • 동아시아 경제권의 국가들 중에서도 한국과 중국의 잠재적 기업가정신을 측정하고 양국 잠재적 기업가정신에 영향을 미치는 문화적 요인에 대해 비교하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 잠재적 기업가라고 여길 수 있는 한국과 중국의 대학생들을 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 210명의 한국 대학생들과 157명의 중국 대학생들이 본 설문에 응하였다. 설문은 크게 두 가지 영역으로 구분되어 있는데, 개인의 기업가적 지향성을 측정하기 위한 질문과 개인의 기업가적 성향에 영향을 주는 문화적 요인들을 측정하는 질문으로 나누어져 있다. 개인의 기업가적 지향성을 측정하기 위하여 자기통제력(Locus of Control)과 혁신성(Innovativeness)을 묻는 세부 질문을 만들었고, 문화적 요인을 측정하기 위해서 대학생들이 느끼는 경제적자유(Economic Freedom), 개인주의(Individualism) 그리고 불확실성 회피성(Uncertatinty Avoidance)의 정도를 묻는 질문을 만들어 설문을 실시하였다. 첫 번째 연구가설은 '한국의 대학생들이 경제적 자유, 개인주의, 불확실성 회피성이 더 높다고 인식한다'이며, 두 번째 연구가설은 '경제적 자유가 보장되고 더 개인주의적인 문화에서 기업가적 성향이 더 높게 나타나며 확실성 회피성이 높을수록 기업가적 성향은 더 낮게 나타난다, 세 번째 연구가설은 '한국 대학생들의 기업가적 지향성 정도가 중국 대학생들의 그것보다 더 높다'이다. 설문조사는 가설과는 다른 결과를 보여주고 있다. 중국의 대학생들이 한국의 대학생들 보다 자국의 문화에 대해 더 경제적 자유가 보장되며 개인주의적이라는 인식을 가지고 있었다. 불확실성 회피성에 있어서는 가설과 동일하게 중국 대학생들보다 한국의 대학생들이 자국에 대해 불확실성 회피성이 더 높다고 인식하고 있다. 또한 양국의 대학생들은 기업가정신 형성에 있어서 각각 다른 문화적 변수에 의해서 영향을 받는다는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 한국의 대학생들은 경제적 자유의 정도에 의해 영향을 받으며, 중국의 대학생들은 불확실성 회피성에 의해서 영향을 받는다. 마지막으로, 세 번째 가설과 달리 기업가적 지향성은 중국의 대학생들이 한국의 대학생들보다 더 높은 수치를 보인다. 혁신성에 있어서는 양국 대학생들 간의 유의한 차이를 발견하기 어려웠으나 내재적 통제력에 있어서 중국의 대학생들은 한국의 대학생들보다 높은 수치를 나타냈다.

  • Controversies over NEIS(Network of Education Information System) began with very deep concern about infringement of human rights stemming from NEIS. A large information system which accumulates and uses huge size of individual information is always able to deeply infringe on human rights. But the ministry of education would not do the best not to be 'Big Brother' being dazzled by instrumental efficiency of information technology. NEIS has demonstrated problems of the information policy of Korea strongly driven in the name of 'E-goverment'. It has very strong characteristic of the statist economic growth policy focusing on more economic possibility than other. In this situation, making money is easily considered more important than protecting human rights. Information capitalism is nurtured at the sacrifice of human rights. So, we have to face problems of 'E-goverment' in order to correct the NEIS problem, The most important task to correct the NEIS problem is to make an element law protecting privacy and to establish an independent national institute protecting privacy

Biological Determinism as Dominant Ideology (지배이데올로기로서 생물학결정론)

  • With the intention of revealing that biological determinism is not the truth verified as scientific facts but ideology which conceals or reproduces the white male-centered social order of western capitalism, this article considered the peculiarities of human being from a perspective of cultural anthropology and examined the social contexts of biological determinism. From these studies, it found that the human is not born, but rather become, that biological determinism, from phrenology and social evolutionism to social biology and IQ determinism, emerged for the breakthrough of crisis in which a number of disclosed social contradictions drove the established ruling order into a collapse, and that it cannot but function as dominant ideology rationalizing racial, ethnic, class and gender discriminations. Hence, bioscience must overcome biological determinism in order to be the hope of both all people and all sort of life. But it is without the transformation of unequal structures that the problem of biological determinism cannot be surmountable at all.
