This study aims to investigate and analyze the current status of book curation operation in elementary school libraries in Busan and the perception of librarians, and then to propose a plan to activate book curation in school libraries. A list of 304 school libraries in the Busan area was secured using the current status of school libraries in the 2021 National Library Statistical System. And then after selecting 121 school libraries with librarians, 83 schools that decided to participate in the survey were selected as final research subjects. Based on the current status of book curation operation and the results of the librarian's perception survey, the following are proposed as a way to activate the book curation of the school library: 1) expansion and provision of specialized formal education on book curation, 2) development and dissemination of materials related to the operation of school library book curation, 3) continuous efforts of librarians to strengthen the capacity for book curation, 4) between school library librarians collaboration and information sharing.

Bibliotherapy personal appetite through literature as well as physical and mental health while it also creates production of healthy society and healthy leisure. As a result, it might be an approach to qualitative development of our society in terms of being an effective tool to contribute to the overall welfare improvement of our nation. The purpose of this research is to examine the current operation conditions of bibliotherapy services of medical libraries, to conduct survey on the librarians of perception about bibliotherapy services, and based on the results of this survey, to provide basic data for bibliotherapy services of medical libraries. To do this, Analyses of questionnaires going out to 57 librarians of 57 medical libraries among the member libraries of the Korea Medical Library Association. Through the results of this research, it can be seen that the librarians in the medical libraries perceive highly of providing bibliotherapy services for the users. The results of this study will likely suggest the need to re-align or shift current bibliotherapy services.

The purpose of this study was to identify research trends on librarians' behaviors(LB) in Korea. 163 papers were selected in four representative journals published in Korean LIS, 1970-2015. The papers were analyzed in terms of period, journal, theme, purpose of research, research method, areas, type of author. The findings are as follows. 1) LB of University library were 28.8% and then that of public library were 26.9%. 2) Organizational behaviors of librarians were 52.7%, and then work behaviors were 31.9%. 3) Purposes of research were to examine librarians' perception (52.7%) and then to improve of current state of libraries(41.1%). 4) Quantitative research method was heavily found(82.2%). 5) Research purpose on LB of University library was related to identify perception of librarians, and that of Public library was related to improve current state of libraries. It discussed four strategies for sustaining growth of LB study aspect of research subject, research purpose, research method, and editorial strategies of four journals.

This study sought to find out the status of medical libraries in Korea that provide information services related to the Covid-19 situation, and how the librarian's perception of the Covid-19 situation, the main body of the library's information provision, affects the provision of related information services. For this purpose, we checked the website for Covid-19 information service. In order to understand the degree of awareness of Covid-19, Grunig's Situational Theory was applied to classify four types of librarians according to the degree of problem recognition, constraint recognition, and involvement recognition, and to analyze how the three perceptions affect Covid-19 related information services. As a result, only 25 out of 144 korean medical libraries provided information services related to Covid-19. The librarian, the main agent of the library's information provision, found that the problem recognition and involvement recognition in the Covid-19 situation were high, constraint recognition were low, and the level of information service was very active. And only constraint recognition has been shown to have a significant impact on providing Covid-19 related information services. Further research when future sources are available and follow-up research on how librarians' perceptions affect library operations are also proposed.

This research is aimed at contributing to the education related to library space planning by carrying out a questionnaire survey on the recognition of libraries related to the education related to library space planning and supporting libraries in charge of library space planning through the result analysis. The following is a report on the direction and improvement of education based on a survey on the impact on subjects related to library space planning. First of all, education on library space planning should be centered on practical work of space planning. Second, the participation of librarians in the planning process of library space must be considered important for smooth communication with users and experts. Third, it is expected to be necessary to plan education methods and curriculums related to the planning of library space according to the size and budget of the library. Fourth, active public relations regarding library space planning education is necessary. The active promotion of library space education will emphasize the participation and necessity of librarians in space practice, and further contribute to the operation of libraries and the provision of library services to users.

The study aims at identifying catalogers' perception of competencies in cataloging. The study focuses on cataloging and classification knowledge, library systems, materials, metadata formats, authority control, foreign language, computer skills, and interdependence and personal skills. It discusses the gap between previous studies and catalogers' perceptions of competencies required for the job. It provides implications for cataloging education. It has values in that the study as an exploratory study urges continuous studies to identify how catalogers' perceptions are changed according to information environment. It will be a base to develop job descriptions for catalogers.

Many for-profit and not-for-profit organizations' service provider can affect customers' perceptions of the organization based on the relationship between the customers and the organizations. This study aims to identify the relational benefits in libraries, and analyze the relationship between relational benefits and library trust and perception using a questionnaire. As a result, public library customers realize relational benefits with librarians. And these relational benefits affect library trust and perception. This study is meaningful in that it focuses on the relationships in libraries for the first time, which can contribute to the positive perceptions of customer-librarian relations.

This study, as primary research that examines the communication characteristics of the library and the perception of librarians in order to make public libraries a communication space, surveyed the perception of librarians in public libraries and made an attempt to devise activation measures for the communication spaces of the library. As a result, the communication characteristics of the library were derived to be locality, community spirit, and interactivity. In addition, the perception survey found that librarians have positive remarks about the communication spaces of the library. As it shows a high degree of awareness, the library should focus on ways to revitalize communication. First, the direction of communication must be set in order to fulfill library's new role in communication and exchange. Second, it is desirable for the library to free itself from being a quiet space and recreate it as a space for communication. Third, the library needs to exchange and connect with organizations, groups, and gatherings of the community. Fourth, it seems necessary for the library to provide support for the users' independent and voluntary communication and operation of the community.

The purpose of this research is to compare the opinions of three different groups - subject specialist librarians(group I) . students of department programs(group II) and students of college programs(group III) - as to whether these groups have a different way of thinking from each other concerning a general culture for subject specialist librarianship. Questionnaire are carried out for this research and the responses analyzed to draw a conclusion. Major findings are as follows: 1) The subject specialist librarianship to be important to all three groups and a desirable academic career of group I shows a tendency to have both B.A. degree in the subjet field and M.A. degree in library & information science, $15.3\%$ of group II and $82.9\%$ of group III appear to be belonging to either minor or double major programs, 2) the 37-45 major credits to be ideal to group I & III, and 46-55 group II, 3) a knowledge in 'Computer' and 'English' is mostly demanded to all three groups as the general culture for subject apecialist librarianship, 4) theoretical courses to be very important to group I and technical courses to group II & III, 5) the collection and access of library materials to be regarded to all three groups as an important role for future librarians.

This study aimed to propose the core values of librarians by investigating the core values of domestic and foreign libraries, including ALA's core values, and analyzing related research by domestic and foreign researchers. The research process included literature analysis, case studies, and surveys. The results showed that although the recognition of the need for setting core values for librarians was high (4.48), the awareness and understanding of core values were low. The reasons for recognizing the need for setting core values included improving the recognition and value of librarians, enhancing their professionalism, and establishing the value of libraries. The study proposed approximately 20 core values for librarians, with only two items scoring below 4 points, and 18 items showing high agreement with scores of 4 points or above. Particularly, professionalism, accessibility, diversity, service, literacy, and public interest all scored above 4.4. Analysis of perception differences between different types of libraries revealed significant differences for almost all items, with school libraries showing the most significant differences. The study recommends conducting in-depth research at the national level to reduce the number of core values to within 10 and share them with the nation.
