When the Yongle Emperor of the Ming Dynasty seized the power as the emperor of China, he issued a royal order to Hokwang and others, to publish a book entitled "Sambudaejeon," in the name of following the death-bed instruction of Taizu. The book was completed no less then 10 months after the order was issued in September 1415(Yongle 13). With the first copy imported from the Ming Dynasty as the original script, Sambudaejeon was engraved on wood by going sharing with 3 provinces including Gyeongsang-do, Jeonlla-do, and Gangwon-do, during the period of 1427~1428(Sejong 9~10). The result of surveying and analysing the distribution of the Ming Dynasty was imported to Chosun, shows that the engraving copy of the original script from the Ming was published more then 18 times in Chosun, among which only 50 types are identified to exist currently. As a result of analyzing these 50 existing types, This status of publication suggests that the books were intensively published and distributed in Gyeonggi and Gyeongsang provinces where the demands for the books were urgent, to meet the needs when the books were rapidly lost during the period of Japanese invasion.

The purpose of this paper is to improve curricula of the library and information science education as well as continuing education for children's librarians. For this purpose, the study examined current curricula provided for children's librarianship and continuing education programs. A questionnaire survey of the educational background of current children's librarians was also conducted. Based on the results, this study proposed model curricula in the library and information science education and continuing education programs to train children's librarians.

The purpose of this paper is to compare the library and information education system in Ost-and West Germany. Toward this purpose, first, the historical beginning of library education is intraduced, secondly, library education system after the year of 1879 is descriebed along with theoretical foundation. Thirdly, seperated library education of the public librarian and academic librarian in Germany before and after the I. II World War was descirebed in context with historical and theoretical background and finnaly, in the modern information society. the library and information education of the seperated Ost-and West Germany is descriebed with their curricular.

This paper is a morphologic-bibliographic analysis on every printed books of Hanmunbon Great Learn(大學), one of $\lceil$FourBooks(四書)$\rfloor$, in Chosun Dynasty. Through examination of the physical characteristics of oks in many institutes and private collections, $\lceil$Daehakjanggudaejun(大學章句大全)$\rfloor$, was systematically explored, which was the most frequently Published Great Learn (大學) in Chosun Dynasty. The Hanmunbon Great Learn (大學) was published mainly in Central Publishing Office in Hansung Area and Kyungsang provinces, and in the period of 17C to 19C. There are two streams of $\lceil$Daehakjanggudaejun$\rfloor$. One is the reprinted edition of Myungbon(明本覆刻), originated from $\lceil$Saseookyungdaejun(四書五經大全)$\rfloor$, compiled by Hokwang(胡廣) and colleagues in Myung(明). The second is movable type books of Chosun(朝鮮活字本), the contents of which being the same as the other stream.

The study aims at identifying catalogers' perception of competencies in cataloging. The study focuses on cataloging and classification knowledge, library systems, materials, metadata formats, authority control, foreign language, computer skills, and interdependence and personal skills. It discusses the gap between previous studies and catalogers' perceptions of competencies required for the job. It provides implications for cataloging education. It has values in that the study as an exploratory study urges continuous studies to identify how catalogers' perceptions are changed according to information environment. It will be a base to develop job descriptions for catalogers.

The purpose of this study is to redefine the competencies of teacher librarians and to derive implications for training and re-educating teacher librarians by analyzing the priorities of competencies. A questionnaire survey targeting teacher librarians based on analytic hierarchy process has been conducted. The results indicate that in terms of the upper-level areas of competencies, it was found that they prioritized teacher librarians' competencies in the following order: information specialists, teachers, administrators, and cooperative leaders. Analysis of the lower levels of competency indicates that the priorities of the required competencies are listed in the following order: collection development, management and preservation, teaching and learning, media production, information service, library cooperative instruction, library assisted instruction, content curation. Therefore, being able to provide information resources by developing a collection of books to support the educational process in school libraries was found to be a critical competency. It seems necessary to cultivate the capacity to manage online and offline collections and produce and provide various teaching media and services by utilizing school library resources. It seems to give implications for the education of teacher librarians.

This study reviewed the current status of low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years and attempted to identify their educational needs through IPA analysis, Borich Priority Formula, and The Locus for Focus Model. A survey was conducted on low-experienced teacher librarians with less than 5 years of experience to analyze their process in the pre-service teacher training and experiences before an appointment and to identify teacher librarians instructional expertise. The results of the analysis of the study are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference between the importance and performance in all areas of instructional expertise of low-experienced teacher librarians. Second, 'reading education-practice progress' was recognized as a 'Keep up good work' with high importance and satisfaction, and 'library-based instruction planning, progress evaluation', 'information literacy-curriculum design', and 'digital and media literacy education-progress and evaluation' were recognized as areas of 'Concentrate here' through IPA analysis. Third, In the Borich Priority Formula, 'teaching-learning evaluation', 'teaching-learning progress', and 'teaching-learning plan' in the Library based instruction area showed the highest educational needs. Fourth, the library-based instruction was shown to the high discrepancy/high importancy area as same as the Borich Proity Formula. The results of this study can provide implications for improving the instructional expertise of teacher librarians.

The purpose of this study is to discuss about the current status and problems of 24 public libraries in Daejeon metropolitan city and to suggest strategies for the development of public library system in Daejeon. For this purpose, first, this study investigates facilities, human resources, collection, and budget in public libraries in Daejeon metropolitan city and compares to the standards in "The Third Comprehensive Library Advancement Plan(2019-2023)", "The library Act" and "Korean Library Standards". Secondly, this study analyzes administrative organization system. Finally, suggested are both strategies and methods for continuous construction of new public libraries, librarian recruit, collection increase, better service for older adults, budget increase, organization exclusively responsible for library policy.

The followings are the characteristics of Kyunghakkwan of Youngjae Oh Yunsang. First, he delves into Soju (小注: Small notes or commentaries) of Saseo-Jibju-Daejeon (四書集註大全: Compendium of the Commentaries of Four Confucius Canons). Frequently adding, "thinking," "thinking again," he enumerates his own theories critical of various scholars who left commentaries in Daehak-Janggu-Daejeon (大學章句大全: Compendium of the sentences and phrases in Daehak, one of the canon) and Jungyong-Janggu-Daejeon (中庸章句大全: Compendium of the sentences and phrases in Jungyong, another canon). Secondly, he quotes theories of Korean confucius scholars. Besides Lee Yulgok, he introduces mainly theories of Nongam Kim Changhyub and Namdang Han Wonjin. Thirdly, he researches into various canons. He diverts from the general trend of Chosun confucius studies which focuses on Saseo and explores Seokyung (書經: One of Five canons of Chinese Confucius Studies and the oldest history book). Fourthly, his Kyungseol, especially that of Jungyong, was recognized and accepted by his contemporary Giho School scholars. Finally, he shows skepticism even on Confucius's own ideas and begs to differ.

The purpose of this study is to analyze priorities of competencies and to find the direction of development of teacher librarian training and retraining program. A total of 238 subjects were used for the final analysis. They were analayzed using IPA, Borich's needs analysis and the Locus for Focus model. As a result, First, teacher librarians perceived that the importance and performance of teacher and manager competency were higher than information specialist and cooperative leader. Second, they needed competencies of data-science, coding, Internet of Things in the field of information specialist as changing educational environment. Third, they needed competencies of information ethics, copyright instruction, and digital and media literacy education in the field of teacher. Fourth, they needed competencies of facility designing for future education, online and offline school library marketing skills, and establishment of makerspaces and learning commons in the field of ibrary manager. Fifth, they needed competencies of library based instruction, library cooperative instruction, and building a collection related to subject in the field of cooperative leader. Sixth, the highest required competency for teacher librarians was suggested for teacher librarians' role area.
