1. Purpose of study In Sasang Constitutional Medicine, human's physiology and pathology are caused by Sung-Jung that joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure' expression. So, the purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between Sung-Jung in and Sung-Jung in Chinese and Chosun's philosophy. 2. Method of study First, I made a thorough investigation into the meaning and change of Sung-Jung's concept in Chinese philosophy. Secondly, I did a study not only Sadanchiljung(四端七情) that the discussion is based on the concept of Sung-Jung in Chosun's philosophy but also it of Jeong Je-du (a scholar of the Wang Yang-ming school). Finally, I did a study Sung-Jung in 3. Result of study It is found that Lee je-ma formulated his peculiar system of thought (Sa-Sim-Sin-Mul) in, , coverd the concept of Sung-Jung in Chinese and Chosun's philosophy.

Sasang Constitutional Medicine is a traditional Korean medicine optimized for personalized medicine, and despite its effective clinical efficacy, the inaccuracy of constitutional diagnosis has been pointed out as a limitation. To improve the accuracy, a constitutional analysis algorithm based on quantitative data was developed. In this study, a constitutional analysis experience system applied with the algorithm was developed and repeatability was evaluated. The system analyzes the constitution of the experiencer by collecting front and side facial images, audio, and questionnaire and calculating the integrated constitution probability value. To evaluate the repeatability of the probability values of the system was performed five times each for three people, and the coefficient of variation was 4.778%, indicating that the repeatability was sufficient. The system could contribute to the promotion of the awareness of Sasang medicine.

1. Objectives This article is about how we can make use of acupuncture and apply meridians in sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods We made several studies of acupuncture in sasang constitutional medicine and explored the development course of meridian. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Meridians were set up by our understanding of human bodies. 2) We cannot make a use of acupuncture and meridians exactly if we don't confirm a usage of 12 meridians. 3) We need many tries of using meridians in other way. Meridians can be used not only treatment but also diagnosis in sasang constitutional medicine.

1. Objectives This research was proposed to find out the chronical concept of etiology in Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM). 2. Methods The related contents of etiology were selected in Je-Ma Lee's literatures such as "Donguisusebowon-SaSangchobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"(DSS), "Donguisusebowon-GabObon(東醫壽世保元甲午本)"(DGO), " Donguisusebowon-ShinChukbon(東醫壽世保元辛丑本)"(DSC), and the research was written in order ro find out the chronical change of etiologic concept in SCM. 3. Results and Conclusions The chronical concept of etiology in SCM was as follows : There were comments that the cause of diseases was the imbalanced nature and emotion(性情偏急), the fault of human relationship(人事), and alcohol-sex-wealth-power(酒色財權) in DSS, and the imbalanced nature and emotion, exopathogen(外感), and endopathogen(內觸) in DGO In the last, the causes of disease was set to the imbalanced nature and emotion in DSC.

1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to find the ground why constitution must be classified into 4 types. 2. Methods I analysed the basic presuppositions to class 4 Type Constitution in Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM). And I connected the presuppositions with other theories from the viewpoint of directional properties of human body. 3. Results and Conclusions The most important presupposition to class 4 Type Constitution and apply to clinical therapy in SCM is that there is native strength and weakness of lung's Exhale Dispersing Qi, liver's Inhale Gathering Qi, spleen's Ascending Yin Qi and kidney's Descending Yang Qi. If there is superior tendency of Qi flow direction in human body, 6 directions(upward, downward, forward, backward, outward and inward) will be remarkable. But, in embryonic period, the outer skin is originated from the back(ectoderm) and the alimentary canal is from the front(endoderm). Therefore 4 directions(upward, downward, outward and inward) will be more remarkable, and those directions are included in the former presupposition.

Objective The purpose of this study was to provide appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Methods We investigated the methods of taking decoction written in Lee Je-ma's writings such as "Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)", "Donguisusebowon-Sasangchobongwon(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "Dongmuyoogo(東武遺稿)" and several papers which related to methods of taking decoction. Results and Conclusions The effects of decoction can be affected by the methods of taking decoction. Therefore, when administering decoction of Sasang Constitutional Medicine to the patient, we should consider the stages of disease and condition of patient. This paper shows the appropriate methods of taking decoction in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Further studies should be needed to find out the appropriate administration methods of various dosage forms.

Purpose This study is intended to catch the expansion of theory of Sasang Constitutional Medicine through comparison prescription of Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen with prescription of Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Method I studied the archive of prescription and medicines concerned in the Sasang-Yihak- Chobonguen with Dongyi-Soose-Bowon Result and conclusion 1. The base of theory on prescription of Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen is based on Naesang -oigam theory but the base of theory on prescription of Dongyi-Soose-Bowon is based on Pyoribyung theory of Sasang constitutional Medicine. 2. Medicines are confused in prescription of Sasang-Yihak-Chobonguen but medicines are not confused in prescription.

1. Objectives: This study was performed to research the relationship between Sasang Constitutional medicine and Hyungsang medicine. 2. Methods: Four hundred and thirty applicants are involved in this study. They are devided into Sasang Constitution and Hyungsang Classification 3. Results and Conclusions: There are significances between Sasang Constitutional diagnosis and Hyungsang Classification. There are significantly more Bangkwang-body, Gi-kwa, Taeyang-hyung, Yangmyung-hyung in Taeyangin and Bangkwang-body, Jung-kwa, Soyang-hyung, Yangmyung-hyung in Soyangin. There are significantly more Dam-body, Gi-kwa, Taeyang-hyung, Yangmyung-hyung in Taeeumin and Bangkwang-body, Gi-kwa, Taeyang-hyung, Yangmyung-hyung in Soeumin.
