Analysis of the Safety Payment in Second-hand Transactions Using Text Mining (텍스트마이닝을 활용한 중고거래 안전결제 실태분석)

  • The secondhand market in Korea has been showing steady growth. However, the number of fraud cases and the amount of damages from fraudulent activities in secondhand transactions are also increasing. As of 2021, the size of the secondhand market reached 24 trillion won, but the total amount of fraud-related damages reached 360.6 billion won. In order to prevent fraud between individuals, secondhand trading platforms have implemented a safety payment system. However, new types of fraud methods exploiting the safety payment system have emerged, undermining the security of secondhand transaction safety payments. In this study, we aim to utilize text mining to examine the current state of the safety payment system in secondhand transactions and propose improvement measures by analyzing the system through text mining and network analysis.

  • 소액결제에 대한 규제 완화로 이와 관련한 사기가 급증하고 있으며, 특히 소액결제가 대부분을 차지하는 온라인게임 산업은 관련 사기로 인한 피해가 증가하고 있다. 온라인 게임의 소액결제 사기는 단순히 금액에 대한 피해뿐만이 아니라 회사 브랜드에도 영향을 미치며, 나아가 고객 이탈로 이어질 수 있다. 소액결제 사기를 방지하기 위해 게임 산업에서도 이상거래 탐지 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 게임 사용자의 결제 패턴을 분석하여 이상거래를 탐지할 수 있는 머신러닝 기반의 이상거래 탐지 모델을 제시하며, 제안하는 모델을 글로벌 온라인 게임에 적용한 사례를 소개한다.

  • 최근 인터넷의 스마트폰 애플리케이션 개발을 통해 사용자들에게 편리한 위치기반 서비스, 증강현실 시스템이 소개되고 있다. 최근 보이스피싱 등의 전화사기 행위가 사회적 문제로 부각되고 있다. 부동산거래 사기에 의한 피해 역시 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며(대법원93다2629,2636 등), 매매과정에서 착오/과실에 의한 부동산 거래 소송(대법원92다38881, 2000다12259 등)역시 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 부동산 거래현장에서 실시간으로 부동산 등기내역, 실거래가, 공시가격, 거래내역, 개발계획 등의 공공정보를 제공하는 스마트폰 애플리케이션 개발한다. 즉, 증강현실, GPS에 근거한 정확한 위치 및 물건에 대한 정보를 확인할 수 있으므로, 사기/착오/과실/부주의에 의한 부동산 거래를 방지한다. 결과적으로, 부동산 사기로 인한 소송 등 불필요한 사회적 비용을 획기적으로 절감할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 부동산 실수요자 거래활성화를 유도하는 정부정책에 부합 건전하고 정확한 부동산 거래 활성화에 기여할 것이다.

Generative AI Jeonse Fraud Prevention System (생성형 인공지능 전세 사기 방지 시스템)

  • Along with its importance, the real estate market poses risks of various fraudulent activities. Recently, a surge in real estate-related scams, such as lease fraud, has caused great financial damage to many ordinary people. These problems are often caused by the complexity of real estate transactions and information imbalance. Therefore, there is an urgent need to secure reliability and improve transparency in the transaction process. In this paper, to solve this real estate fraud problem, we propose a chatbot system using digital technology and artificial intelligence, especially GPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer). This system serves to protect users from fraud by providing them with precautions and confirmations in the lease transaction process. In addition, GPT-based chatbots respond to questions from users in time, contributing to reducing uncertainty in the transaction process and increasing reliability.

Dectection of Insurance Fraud using Visualization Data Mining Tool (Visualization Data Mining Tool을 활용한 보험사기 적발)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically and practically verify the applicability of visualization data mining tool in detecting real-word insurance frauds that are now emerged as one of the most serious problems socially and economically. For the verification, Analyst's Notebook by i2, which has been known as the most effective visualization data mining tool, was adopted. With Analyst's Notebook, fraud-probable insurance transactions from a very large insurance claims are selected and then substantiation for insurance frauds are attempted. The results show that Analyst's Notebook not only detects insurance fraud transactions from a vast number of insurance claims, but is also able to pinpoint organized crime group by associating one fraud transaction to another fraud transaction. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that visualization data mining is very effective in detecting false transactions and crime behaviors including insurance fraud.

A Study on the Fraud Detection in an Online Second-hand Market by Using Topic Modeling and Machine Learning (토픽 모델링과 머신 러닝 방법을 이용한 온라인 C2C 중고거래 시장에서의 사기 탐지 연구)

  • As the transaction volume of the C2C second-hand market is growing, the number of frauds, which intend to earn unfair gains by sending products different from specified ones or not sending them to buyers, is also increasing. This study explores the model that can identify frauds in the online C2C second-hand market by examining the postings for transactions. For this goal, this study collected 145,536 field data from actual C2C second-hand market. Then, the model is built with the characteristics from postings such as the topic and the linguistic characteristics of the product description, and the characteristics of products, postings, sellers, and transactions. The constructed model is then trained by the machine learning algorithm XGBoost. The final analysis results show that fraudulent postings have less information, which is also less specific, fewer nouns and images, a higher ratio of the number and white space, and a shorter length than genuine postings do. Also, while the genuine postings are focused on the product information for nouns, delivery information for verbs, and actions for adjectives, the fraudulent postings did not show those characteristics. This study shows that the various features can be extracted from postings written in C2C second-hand transactions and be used to construct an effective model for frauds. The proposed model can be also considered and applied for the other C2C platforms. Overall, the model proposed in this study can be expected to have positive effects on suppressing and preventing fraudulent behavior in online C2C markets.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 중고거래 플랫폼들의 불편한 점들을 해소하고 사용자들이 효율적이고 편리한 중고거래를 할 수 있도록 도와주는 플랫폼을 개발했다. 조사를 통해 기존 중고거래 플랫폼은 허위 매물, 시세 파악의 어려움, 사기 피해 등의 문제점이 존재한다는 사실을 인식했다. 문제 해결을 위해 파이썬을 활용하여 주요 중고거래 플랫폼의 상품 데이터를 수집했다. 이에 IQR을 적용하여 가격의 이상치를 판별했다. 가격 비교와 허위 매물 판별이 용이하게 되는 장점이 있다. 또한 이상치를 제거한 상품들의 시세를 계산하여 데이터를 차트로 시각화했다. 플랫폼과 지역마다 상이한 중고 상품의 신뢰성 있는 시세를 파악할 수 있고 중고거래 사기 피해를 방지할 수 있도록 사용자에게 주요 사기 수법, 뉴스 등의 정보를 제공한다.

  • Due to the development of mobile technologies, the carrier (telecommunications) billing service market is rapidly growing. carrier (telecommunications) billing service allows users to make on-line purchases through mobile-billing. Users find this particularly convenient because the payment acts as a credit transaction. Furthermore, the system is commonly believed to be secure through its use of SMS (Short Message Service) authentication and a real-time transaction history to confirm the transaction. Unfortunately, there is a growing number of fraudulent transactions threaten the future of this system. The more well documented types of security breaches involves hackers intercepting the authentication process. By contaminating the device with security breaching applications, hackers can secretly make transactions without notifying users until the end of month phone bill. This study sheds light on the importance of this societal threat and suggests solutions. In particular, "secure" systems need to be more proactive in addressing the methods hackers use to make fraudulent transactions. Our research partially covers specific methods to prevent fraudulent transactions on carrier billing service providers' systems. We discuss about the proposed improvements such as complement of electronic payment systems, active promotion for fraudulent transactions enhanced monitoring, fraud detection and introduce a new authentication service. This research supports a future of secure communications billing services, which is essential to expanding new markets.

  • An anti-fraud system that utilizes association rules of fraud as well as AFS (Anti Fraud System) for credit card payments in e-commerce is proposed. The association rules are found by applying the data mining algorithm to millions of transaction records that have been generated as a result of orders on goods through the Internet. When a customer begins to process an order by using transaction components of a secure messaging protocol, the degree of risk for the transaction is assessed by using the found rules. More credit information will be requested or the transaction is rejected if it is interpreted as risky.

  • 인터넷을 이용한 거래가 활발해지면서 개인 정보 누출, 사기 피해 등 이와 관련한 문제점들도 크게 증가하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 예방하기 위한 연구와 연구 결과의 활용이 활발한 가운데 특정 거래에 참여하는 거래 당사자에 대한 신뢰도를 측정하는 방법도 거래 위험도를 줄이는 방안의 하나로 연구되고 있다. 특히, 다수의 판매자와 구매자가 동시에 수 많은 거래에 참여하게 되는 온라인 경매의 경우 거래에 참여하는 거래 상대방에 대한 신뢰도를 측정하고 이를 제공함으로써 경매와 관련한 사기 거래의 위험성을 어느 정도 줄일 수 있게 된다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 경매 시스템에서 활용할 수 있는 퍼지 기반의 신뢰 측정 시스템의 기본 구조를 설계하고 그 작동 원리를 소개하고자 한다. 이를 위해 인맥형 커뮤니티 시스템으로부터 새로운 신뢰 측정 변수들을 도입하게 되며 이러한 신뢰 변수를 이용한 신뢰도 측정 과정을 자세히 소개한다.
