Fast Geocoding of UAV Images for Disaster Site Monitoring (재난현장 모니터링을 위한 UAV 영상 신속 지오코딩)

  • In urgent situations such as disasters and accidents, rapid data acquisition and processing is required. Therefore, in this study, a rapid geocoding method according to EOP (Exterior Orientation Parameter) correction was proposed through pattern analysis of the initial UAV image information. As a result, in the research area with a total flight length of 1.3 km and a width of 0.102 ㎢, the generation time of geocoding images took about 5 to 10 seconds per image, showing a position error of about 8.51 m. It is believed that the use of the rapid geocoding method proposed in this study will help provide basic data for on-site monitoring and decision-making in emergency situations such as disasters and accidents.

  • Recently the leak of personal information from in-house and contract-managed companies has been continually increasing, which leads a regular observation on outsourcing companies that perform the personal information management system to prevent dangers from the leakage, stolen and loss of personal information. However, analyzing many numbers of computers in limited time has found few difficulties in some circumstances-such as outsourcing companies that own computers that have personal information system or task continuities that being related to company's profits. For the reason, it is necessary to select an object of examination through identifying a high-risk of personal data leak. In this paper, this study will formulate a proposal for the selection of high-risk subjects, which is based on the user interface, by digital forensic. The study designs the integrated analysis tool and demonstrates the effects of the tool through the test results.

  • According to the national information security white paper 2013, the number of hacking attempt in 2012 is 17,570 which is increased by 67.4% than in 2011, and it has been increasing year after year. The cause of this increase is considered as pursuit of monetary profit and diversification techniques of infection. However, because the development of malicious code faster than the increase in the number of experts to analyze and respond the malware, it is difficult to respond to security threats due to malicious code. So, the interest on automatic analysis tools is increasing. In this paper, we proposed the method of malware classification by similarity using malware DNA. It helps the experts to reduce the analysis time, to increase the correctness. The proposed method generates 'Malware DNA' from extracted features, and then calculates similarity to classify the malwares.

Analysis on the safety perception of ocean leisure business owners (수상레저 사업자의 안전의식 실태 분석)

  • This study came to the following conclusions through the survey which was conducted to ocean leisure business runners to find out current business situation and the perceptions about the revised regulations the safety law of water leisure. This survey showed that most of the respondents agreed about receiving water safety training for regulated time when they obtain or renew their licenses. 63.5% answered that water safety training is needed. There was a considerable demand for registration system of leisure boots. 70.3% presented that registration system of private leisure boots should be introduced. It is confirmed that insurance is an essential fact for ocean leisure activities. 81.1% for leisure boots and 70.3% for non-leisure boots respectively answered that private insurance or fraternal insurance need to be imposed as a compulsory condition in case of accidents during ocean leisure activities.

  • Although the domestic aviation industry has made rapid progress with the development of aircraft manufacturing and transportation technologies, aviation safety accidents continue to occur. The supervisory agency classifies hazards and risks based on risk-based aviation safety data, identifies safety trends for each air transportation operator, and conducts pre-inspections to prevent event and accidents. However, the human classification of data described in natural language format results in different results depending on knowledge, experience, and propensity, and it takes a considerable amount of time to understand and classify the meaning of the content. Therefore, in this journal, the fine-tuned KoBERT model was machine-learned over 5,000 data to predict the classification value of new data, showing 79.2% accuracy. In addition, some of the same result prediction and failed data for similar events were errors caused by human.

  • Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) between a number of companies goes on increasing on the internet. Although a conventional EDI system reduces business process efforts, time, resources, etc., important information is easily and frequently exposed by well trained hackers and crackers, which inflict a severe loss on the company and even put the company under a crisis. This study integrates the conventional EDI system and Virtual Private Tet(VPN) to maximize an overall efficiency of speed and security in data transferring by the level of importance. The EDI system interfaced to IPSec and L2TP of VPN allows us to select two modes : the one focuses on a high speed with a low or a medium level security or the other does on a high level security with a low or a medium level speed. Both the company and the end users get a lot of tangible and intangible advantages by integrating the EDI system and VPN.

  • Meteorological Data Acquisition System (MDAS) and Meteorolocical Information Processing System (MIPS) have been developed for the measurement of the meteorological parameters at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute site. MIPS represents the measured meteorological data graphically on a computer screen. MDAS and MIPS are interfaced with real-time radiological dose assessment system (FADAS), which has been developed to rapidly assess the radiological consequences and to support decision-making under radiological emergencies.

Development of Freeway Incident Duration Prediction Models (고속도로 돌발상황 지속시간 예측모형 개발)

  • Incident duration prediction is one of the most important steps of the overall incident management process. An accurate and reliable estimate of the incident duration can be the main difference between an effective incident management operation and an unacceptable one since, without the knowledge of such time durations, traffic impact can not be estimated or calculated. This research presents several multiple linear regression models for incident duration prediction using data consisting of 384 incident cases. The main source of various incident cases was the Traffic Incident Reports filled out by the Motorist Assistant Units of the Korea Highway Corporation. The models were proposed separately according to the time of day(daytime vs. nighttime) and the fatality/injury incurred (fatality/injury vs. property damage only). Two models using an integrated dataset, one with an intercept and the other without it, were also calibrated and proposed for the generality of model application. Some findings are as follows ; ?Variables such as vehicle turnover, load spills, the number of heavy vehicles involved and the number of blocked lanes were found to significantly affect incident duration times. ?Models, however, tend to overestimate the duration times when a dummy variable, load spill, is used. It was simply because several of load spill incidents had excessively long clearance times. The precision was improved when load spills were further categorized into "small spills" and "large spills" based on the size of vehicles involved. ?Variables such as the number of vehicles involved and the number of blocked lanes found not significant when a regression model was calibrated with an intercept. whereas excluding the intercept from the model structure signifies those variables in a statistical sense.

  • Travel choice behavior is affected by real-time traffic information. Recently, in urban area, real-time traffic information is provided by several instruments such as transportation broadcasting, internet PC network and variable message sign, etc. Furthermore, it has been increasing for urban travelers to use real-time traffic information provided by several instruments. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of advanced traveler information on urban worker's travel choice behavior. Among several Advanced Traveler Information System(ATIS) employed in urban area. This study focuses on examining the effects of transportation broadcasting on urban worker's travel choice behavior. This study attempts to examine traveler's mode change behavior in the pre-trip stage and traveler's route change behavior in the on-route stage. For this study, the survey data collected from Daegu City in 2000 is used. For empirical analysis, several nested logit models are estimated, and among them, the best models are reported in this paper. Furthermore, based on the empirical models estimated for this research, important findings and their policy implications are discussed.

  • The accidents caused by drivers while driving are considered as the major causes along with other causes such as conditions of roads, weather and cars. In this study, we investigated the driver's workloads under three different driving conditions (Weather, Driving time zone, and Traffic density) through analyzing biological signals obtained from a car driving simulator system. The proposed method is able to detect R waves and R-R interval calculation in the ECG. Heart rate variability (HRV) was investigated for the time domain to determine the changes in driver's conditions.
