The Development of Lightning Outage Rate Calculation Program (송전선로 뇌 사고율 예측계산 프로그램 개발)

  • The outages of transmission lines give big damages to the industrial world Lightning outages occupy above 50[%] among the outages of transmission lines. To decrease the lightning outage rates, it is necessary to try countermeasures considering economical points. For the lightning protection of power transmission lines, it is very important to accurately predict the lightning outage rate because the reliability criterion for transmission line is normally specified as the number of flashovers per 100[km] per year. The phenomenon of an insulator flashover by a lightning stroke is a very complex electromagnetic event. And to calculate the lightning outage rates of transmission lines, so many calculation should be repeated because there are many overhead lines and power lines. Therefore it is necessary to develope a program for it. In this paper, we briefly introduce the basic concept for lightning outage calculation algorithm and the program.

  • The Serious Disaster Punishment Act, which has been in effect since January 27, 2022, requires employers or management managers who neglect safety measures to be punished by imprisonment for more than one year in the event of a serious disaster. As this Act on the Punishment of Severe Disasters came into effect this year, it has received a lot of attention from society. According to experts, most of the opinions are that the bill was created focusing on increasing punishment for companies, contrary to the original purpose of the bill to reduce the safety accident rate. This study confirmed whether these contents were true through case studies, and if this continues, the conflict between companies and workers will intensify and the safety accident rate will not decrease. Therefore, this study does not unconditionally increase corporate punishment, but compares many situations through surveys and suggests a way for companies and workers to cooperate with the Critical Accident Punishment Act to reduce the safety accident rate.

  • This paper presents a voltage sag assessment program. The program provides various functions for stochastic assessment of voltage sags such as short-circuit analysis, the determination of the area of vulnerability and the calculation of expected sag frequency(ESF). Effective data visualization functions based on computer graphics and animation were also implemented in the developed program. In this paper, the concept of voltage sag assessment and the assessment method considering generator scheduling and time-varying fault rates are presented. The influence of generator scheduling and time-varying fault rates on voltage sag prediction is also described by performing case studies using the developed program.

  • 한전의 가공 송전선로는 2010년 기준으로 약 12,990km(765 kV 송전선로 354 km, 345 kV 송전선로 약 3,868 km, 154 kV 송전선로 8,173 km, 66 kV 송전선로 : 약 595 km)가 설치되어 운전되고 있다. 이러한 송전선로는 평지, 구릉, 산악지 등에 설치됨으로써 자연환경에 크게 영향을 받는다. 특히 전 세계적으로 낙뢰에 의한 송전선로의 트립 고장이 전체 고장의 약 60%를 점유하는 것으로 보고되고 있으며, 낙뢰에 의한 고장을 최소화하기 위한 내뢰 설계를 시행하고 있다. 한전에서도 전압별 계통의 신뢰도와 경제성을 고려하여 765 kV 송전선로의 목표 사고율은 0.35[건/100 km 년], 345 kV 송전선로의 경우는 1.0[건/100 km.년], 154 kV 송전선로의 경우는 2.0[건/100 km 년] 이하의 목표 사고율을 설정하여 설계 운영하고 있다. 그러나 2000년 이후 낙뢰발생 빈도가 증가하고 있으며, 낙뢰에 의한 고장 점유율도 약 75%로서 고품질 전력공급을 위한 내뢰 대책 수립의 검토가 요구되고 있다.

  • Currently, society thinks human-health is very important. As a result, the number of individual bikes is increasing. And bicycle accident rate is increasing every year. We have developed the safety-equipment utilizing a smartphone. Because, in order to reduce the rate of bicycle accidents. The working principle is that the connection between the bicycle and safety equipment with built-in Bluetooth chip. Information of bike-driving Is measured using a smartphone with built-in gyro sensor. I made an algorithm for specifying a direction by using the values of the gyro sensor. With this algorithm, it is possible to reduce the accident rate of the bicycle.

A Comparative Study on Railway Accident Safety Statistics among Nations and Other Transportation Modes (국내 철도 안전수준의 비교평가에 관한 연구)

  • As a result of investment in railway safety since 2004, railway accidents have been reduced by half and we reached a high level of safety compared to other countries. But people are still worries about railway accident, and want safer railway. It is difficult to determine which level of safety must be achieved due to lack of comparative studies on railway safety among different countries and other transportation modes. In this study, a comparative study on railway accident statistics and various transportation modes is performed. The results of this research can be used for the determination of weak areas of railway safety and the level of safety to be achieved.

Analysis of Traffic Accident Characteristics for the Overlap Section of Horizontal and Vertical Alignment (평면곡선과 종단곡선이 겹친 복합선형 구간에서 교통사고 특성분석)

  • This study has been conducted to characterize the relations between the accident rate and the overlap section elements where the horizontal alignment and vertical alignment are overlapped. The researches were performed on Horizontal curve sections of 4-lane highways with 100km/h of design speed and speed limit. Korea Highway Corporation's Geographic Figurative Information System was adopted for geometric organization and Highway Traffic Accident Statistics was used. The results reveal that sections made of a single slope without vertical curve has greater accident rate than those with vertical curve, and that sections with 1 vertical curve are higher in the accident rate than those with over 2 vertical curve. For the sections with 1 vertical curve, SAG sections are higher than CREST sections and for the previous straight section of horizontal curve are higher than curved ones. In particular, when the road surface is wet, the accident rate is closely related with SAG vertical curves or leftward horizontal curved sections. This study will have meanings that it proposes the importance of design of road alignment by taking consideration of 3D synthetic alignment conditions for improvement of the road safety.
