  • 해마다 방대한 양의 콘텐츠가 쏟아져 나오는 현재의 콘텐츠 시장은 '즐길 거리'가 차고 넘치는, 수요보다 공급이 많은 시장이다. 이러한 환경에서 소비자가 자신의 취향에 맞는 콘텐츠를 쉽고 빠르게 찾을 수 있게 하는 맞춤형 콘텐츠 제공의 측면에서 빅데이터의 효율적인 활용은 중요하다. 더 나아가 콘텐츠의 소비 단계 뿐만 아니라 기획 및 제작 단계에서도 빅데이터는 소비자가 흥미를 느낄만한 콘텐츠를 미리 예측하며, 성공 가능성 높은 콘텐츠를 기획 및 제작할 수 있게 하는데 기인하는 중요한 핵심 요소이다. 이미 게임, 영상, 음악 등의 분야에서는 개인의 기호와 취향에 맞춤화된 콘텐츠를 제공하거나 소비자에게 더 인기를 얻을 수 있는 콘텐츠 기획 및 개발에 빅데이터를 활용하고 있으며, 앞으로는 더욱 다양한 장르에서 빅데이터 활용 사례가 증가할 전망이다.

A Study on the Effective Approaches to Big Data Planning (효과적인 빅데이터분석 기획 접근법에 대한 융합적 고찰)

  • Big data analysis is a means of organizational problem solving. For an effective problem solving, approaches to problem solving should take into account the factors such as characteristics of problem, types and availability of data, data analytic capability, and technical capability. In this article we propose three approaches: logical top-down, data driven bottom-up, and prototyping for overcoming undefined problem circumstances. In particular we look into the relationship of creative problem solving with the bottom-up approach. Based on the organizational data governance and data analytic capability, we also derive strategic issues concerning the sourcing of big data analysis.

  • Big data has been used in diverse areas. For example, in computer science and sociology, there is a difference in their issues to approach big data, but they have same usage to analyze big data and imply the analysis result. So the meaningful analysis and implication of big data are needed in most areas. Statistics and machine learning provide various methods for big data analysis. In this paper, we study a process for big data analysis, and propose an efficient methodology of entire process from collecting big data to implying the result of big data analysis. In addition, patent documents have the characteristics of big data, we propose an approach to apply big data analysis to patent data, and imply the result of patent big data to build R&D strategy. To illustrate how to use our proposed methodology for real problem, we perform a case study using applied and registered patent documents retrieved from the patent databases in the world.

A Study on Deriving an Optimal Route for Foreign Tourists through the Analysis of Big Data (빅데이터 분석을 통한 외국인 관광객을 위한 최적 경로 도출)

  • The purpose of this paper is to derive an optimal route for foreign tourists in Korea. To that end, the data gained from domestic tourist portal sites was analyzed with a big data analytics tool R. The destinations most visited by inbound foreign tourists, the shortest route and the most economical route were derived from the analysis results. The findings suggest original Korean culture is the factor for successful tourist destinations and relevant products, and will serve as some reference data conducive to planning the tourist products in practice.

Big Data Analysis for Public Libraries Utilizing Big Data Platform: A Case Study of Daejeon Hanbat Library (도서관 빅데이터 플랫폼을 활용한 공공도서관 빅데이터 분석 연구: 대전한밭도서관을 중심으로)

  • Since big data platform services for the public library began January 1, 2016, libraries have used big data to improve their work performance. This paper aims to examine the use cases of library big data and attempts to draw improvement plan to improve the effectiveness of library big data. For this purpose, first, we examine big data used while utilizing the library big data platform, the usage pattern of big data and services/policies drawn by big data analysis. Next, the limitations and advantages of the library big data platform are examined by comparing the data analysis of the integrated library management system (ILUS) currently used in public libraries and data analysis through the library big data platform. As a result of case analysis, big data usage patterns were found program planning and execution, collection, collection, and other types, and services/policies were summarized as customizing bookshelf themes for the book curation and reading promotion program, increasing collection utilization, and building a collection based on special topics. and disclosure of loan status data. As a result of the comparative analysis, ILUS is specialized in statistical analysis of library collection unit, and the big data platform enables selective and flexible analysis according to various attributes (age, gender, region, time of loan, etc.) reducing analysis time. Finally, the limitations revealed in case analysis and comparative analysis are summarized and suggestions for improvement are presented.

  • As the value of Bigdata has been recognized importantly, public agencies including the government, private sector, etc. began to have an interest in Big Data. As there are sources of various data, and a variety of planning and analysis methods based on these sources has emerged, It is true that Bigdata will become a tool for creation of the new high qualitied information and decision making based on new insights. The purpose of this study is to find an alternative to the subway congestion problem that is not improved even though the various measures. In this study, we tried to explore approaches for ways to improve the congestion of the Seoul Subway using Seoul Metropolitan public data. Lastly, this study derived a policy alternative to establish new bus route that runs around the metro station that have a high level of congestion.

A Study on Keywords Extraction from Entertainment News using Bigdata Processing (빅데이터 처리를 통한 연예 뉴스에서의 키워드 추출에 관한 연구)

  • With the softness of online entertainment news articles and the increasing number of quick-reporting articles in the entertainment sector, many people have access to entertainment front-page articles and are now able to make reviews of celebrities. It is not easy to systematically analyze which news articles are about which celebrities in a real-time environment, although their reputation is a key factor in the entertainment agency's business strategy, which should make the most of its affiliated celebrity resources. Based on the amount of celebrity references mentioned in entertainment news data, this paper proposes an entertainment news keyword analysis system, which extracts celebrities that are the subject of the article and associates them with the celebrity entertainment agency in question. Through the system proposed in this paper, advertisers or entertainment agencies can judge the value of the celebrity as reference material for the business. In addition, it can lay the groundwork for an investment strategy by predicting the outlook for the entertainment company for brokerages and investors.

  • Most public library websites provide unstructured cultural program data, which cannot be produced and utilized systematically as bibliographic information. It is not sufficiently used in existing library big data research or cases, and there is a risk of disappearing when the website is reorganized or the person in charge is changed. This study developed a data schema that can be used in conjunction with bibliographic data by collecting and analyzing cultural programs and community service data produced in an unstructured manner and proposed to share and utilize public library cultural programs and community service data, and establish a library big data platform that can serve as an information channel between librarians who are cultural program planners. Library program data posted on the library website can be integrated and managed through the platform, securing continuity of work, and systematically managing and preserving the specialized service history of individual libraries.

A Study on the Development of Product Planning Prediction Model Using Logistic Regression Algorithm (로지스틱 회귀 알고리즘을 활용한 상품 기획 예측 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to propose a product planning prediction model using logistic regression algorithm to predict seasonal factors and rapidly changing product trends. First, we collected unstructured data of consumers in portal sites and online markets using web crawling, and analyzed meaningful information about products through preprocessing for transformation of standardized data. The datasets of 11,200 were analyzed by Logistic Regression to analyze consumer satisfaction, frequency analysis, and advantages and disadvantages of products. The result of analysis showed that the satisfaction of consumers was 92% and the defective issues of products were confirmed through frequency analysis. The results of analysis on the use satisfaction, system efficiency, and system effectiveness items of the developed product planning prediction program showed that the satisfaction was high. Defective issues are very meaningful data in that they provide information necessary for quickly recognizing the current problem of products and establishing improvement strategies.
