Current Industrial trend of simulator development for validating of satellite software performance (위성 소프트웨어 성능 검증을 위한 시뮬레이터 개발 동향)

  • In this paper, current industrial trend of simulator development which is widely spreaded and performed in globally is introduced. Usage of satellite simulator is becoming an essential choice since the complexity of satellite and mission is being continuously increased. Satellite simulation brings reduction of satellite development cost and of period which is consumed by test on satellite development for various phases. Further more, it can be used to reduce the development period of satellite since developed resource and knowledge is possible to be delivered to next program effectively.

  • Several different approaches and mechanisms are introduced to solve the UAV path planning problem. In this paper, we designed and implemented an agent-based simulation software using the Repast platform and Java Genetic Algorithm Package to examine an evolutionary path planning method by implementing and testing within the Repast environment. The paper demonstrates the life-cycle of an agent-based simulation software engineering project while providing a documentation strategy that allows specifying autonomous, adaptive, and interactive software entities in a Multi-Agent System. The study demonstrates how evolutionary path planning can be introduced to improve cognitive agent capabilities within an agent-based simulation environment.

  • A automatic flight control system(AFCS) of UAS needs to control its flight path along target path exactly as adjusts flight coefficient itself depending on static or dynamic changes of airplane's features such as type, size or weight. In this paper, we propose system which tunes control gain autonomously depending on change of airplane's feature in flight as adding MLM(Machine Learning Module) on AFCS. MLM is designed with Linear Regression algorithm and Reinforcement Learning and it includes EvM(Evaluation Module) which evaluates learned control gain from MLM and verified system. This system is tested on beaver FDC simulator and we present its analysed result.

  • This paper presents a simulator developed for effective use of chaff which is widely employing for aircraft protection. We calculate the scattered electric field based on the aircraft and the chaff RCS. Input parameters calculated using Matlab are forwarded to the input module of the presented simulator which provides a three dimensional display fur the three different scenarios.

  • After analyzing each procedure from standard instrument procedures used at Incheon International Airport, which is believed to have caused noise problems in and around Ganghwa island, we came to a conclusion that some Standard Instrument Departure Procedures and Standard Instrument Approach Procedures need to be revised, and therefore we made some propositions with regard to noise abatement procedures(CDA, RNAV approach etc.). Additionally, we evaluated viability of the proposed flight procedures by conducting a number of demonstrations with use of flight simulation.

  • This paper deals with a development of flight control law switching system which can be used for flight test of the research control law by switching control law during flight. Through this research program, fader logic and integrator stabilization design has been introduced to minimize the transient response of aircraft caused by flight control law switching and to prevent the divergence of the integrator included in the control law in standby mode. MIL-STD-1553B communication was applied to transfer the data between the two control laws. This paper introduce the control law switching system architecture and major design concept and include the system verification and validation result performed on the flying quality simulator of the advanced trainer.

Improvement of Track Tracking Performance Using Deep Learning-based LSTM Model (딥러닝 기반 LSTM 모형을 이용한 항적 추적성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • This study applies a deep learning-based long short-term memory(LSTM) model to track tracking technology. In the case of existing track tracking technology, the weight of constant velocity, constant acceleration, stiff turn, and circular(3D) flight is automatically changed when tracking track in real time using LMIPDA based on Kalman filter according to flight characteristics of an aircraft such as constant velocity, constant acceleration, stiff turn, and circular(3D) flight. In this process, it is necessary to improve performance of changing flight characteristic weight, because changing flight characteristics such as stiff turn flight during constant velocity flight could incur the loss of track and decreasing of the tracking performance. This study is for improving track tracking performance by predicting the change of flight characteristics in advance and changing flight characteristic weigh rapidly. To get this result, this study makes deep learning-based Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) model study the plot and target of simulator applied with radar error model, and compares the flight tracking results of using Kalman filter with those of deep learning-based Long Short-Term memory(LSTM) model.

  • In this paper, we construct a navigation geography database using R-tree, and develop a software for avionics systems such as VOR, ILS, DME, and NDB. First, we design the navigation geography database using R-tree, and construct a database for navigation aids facilities of every airport. In order to implement avionics software, we develop some calculating algorithms for distance, bearing, and deviation angle between an aircraft and a VOR station for VOR, and deviation angle from a LLZ, glide slope from a GP, and range of markers for ILS. The navigation geography database system is composed of map data manager which can construct and update the database, real-time searcher which provides information about the avionics system, geography database, and user interface.
