  • 본 논문에서는 다자간 멀티미디어 공동작업에서 QoS를 보장하는 영상, 음성 및 화이트보드 데이터의 효율적인 전송을 위해 IP 그룹화를 이용한 영상 및 데이터의 전송 시스템을 설계하고, 구현한다. 기존의 다자간 멀티미디어 공동작업에서 TCP 방식의 화이트보드 비트맵 데이터 전송으로 인해 발생하는 네트워크 병목현상을 해소하고 음성의 QoS를 보장하기 위해, IP 그룹화를 이용한 효율적인 영상 및 화이트보드 데이터의 전송을 제안, 구현함으로써 전송의 속도 향상 및 손실을 최소화한다.

Backward Mapping Method for Hyperbolic Patterns (하이퍼볼릭 패턴 생성을 위한 백워드 매핑)

  • Most existing algorithms adopt the forward mapping method that is based on vector representation. Problem of existing algorithms Is the exponential increase of memory usage with number of layers. This degrades the accuracy of the boundary pattern representation. Our method uses bitmap representation and does not require any additional post-processing for conversion of vector-form results to bitmap-form. A new and efficient algorithm is presented in this paper for the generation of hyperbolic patterns by means of backward mapping methods.

Architecture for Efficient Character Class Matching in Regular Expression Processor (정규표현식 프로세서에서의 효율적 문자 클래스 매칭을 위한 구조)

  • Like CPUs, regular expression processors that perform regular expression pattern matching using instructions have been proposed recently. Of these, only REMPc provides features for character class matching. In this paper, we propose an architecture for efficient character class matching in a regular expression processor, which use character class bitmap format in a instruction operand field and implement the hard-wired character class comparator for several frequently used character classes. Using the proposed method, most of the character classes used in Snort rule can be represented by an operand or an instruction. Thus, character class matching can be performed more efficiently in the proposed archiecture than in REMPc.

  • In this paper, we assume that sensor nodes organize the multi-hop networks, are fixed, and operate as full function devices(FFD). The wireless sensor network(WSN) only consists of mobile nodes without the assistance from the fixed infrastructure, which increases the flexibility of the network. However, it is difficult to perform routing in the WSN, since sensor nodes freely join in and drop out of the network, and some sensor nodes have very low power. We propose the algorithm combining routing schemes based on the bitmap and cluster methods in this paper. Through computer simulations, we show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • Raster operations are widely used to display full-color graphics images (or pixmaps) and single-color images (or bitmaps). These features are strongly needed for image processing applications and font output. However, current mobile graphics platforms, including OpenGL ES hardware implementations, do not directly support these features. To fully support those raster operations on the mobile graphics platforms, we interpreted the graphics images as a set of 3D points, and processed those 3D points through the typical 3D geometry pipelines, in a full-software implementation. Our implementation shows sufficient execution speeds, and passed the official conformance tests to show its correctness.

  • Video camera play very important roles for preventing many kinds of crimes and resolving those crime affairs. But in the case of recording image of a specific person far from the CCTV, the original image needs to be enlarged and recovered in order to identify the person more obviously. Interpolation is usually used for the enlargement and recovery of the image in this case. However, it has a certain limitation. As the magnification of enlargement is getting bigger, the quality of the original image can be worse. This paper uses FOP(Facial Definition Parameter) proposed by the MPEG-4 SNHC FBA group and introduces a new algorithm that uses face outline information of the original image based on the FOP, which makes it possible to recover better than the known methods until now.

  • We have implemented image monitoring system on PXA255 processor based embedded board that is ported QT/Embedded 2.3.7 version. User is able to monitor camera's capture image for widely separated host PC at client PXA255 board target board by ethernet communication method. And we designed PCI interface card that control motor for camera's Pan & Tilt. Bitmap format's images of $320\times{240}$ size are displayed on PXA255 board's TFT-LCD and User is able to monitor wanted position's image by touch screen input method.

  • 통신의 규모가 사용자 수와 지리적 범위 두 가지 측면에서 커짐에 따라 신뢰적인 멀티캐스트 프로토콜의 implosion 및 exposure 문제는 더욱 심각해진다. 본 논문은 트리 기반 신뢰적 멀티캐스트를 위한 효율적이고 확장성 있는 손실 복구 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 에러 비트맵 정보를 통하여 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리와 유시한 논리적 트리를 구성함으로써 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리에서 상위에 위치하는 수신자들이 재전송을 요청한 수신자의 신뢰성을 책임지도록 하고 또한 효율적인 복구를 위해 구성된 트리 상에 독립된 멀티캐스트 주소를 가지는 지역 그룹을 형성한다. 논리적 트리는 세션 멤버쉽이나 멀티캐스트 경로의 변화에 따라 적응적으로 재구성되는데 이는 멀티캐스트 세션의 진행 동안 논리적 트리와 멀티캐스트 라우팅 트리 사이에 불일치를 최소화함으로써 멤버쉽과 경로가 변하는 상황에서도 implosion과 exposure를 감소시키는 강점을 지닌다. 제안한 기법과 정적 트리기반의 신뢰적 멀티캐스트 프로토콜과의 시뮬레이션을 통한 비교는 세션의 크기가 증가할수록 제안한 적응형 트리 기반의 복구방식이 더욱 효율적임을 보여준다.

A Reliable Broadcast Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 신뢰적 브로드캐스팅 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new reliable broadcast protocol referred to as timer-based reliable broadcast (TRB) for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The proposed TRB scheme exploits (1) bitmap based explicit ACK to effectively reduce the unnecessary error control messages and (2) randomized timer for ACK transmission to substantially reduce the possibility of contentions. Although it has been argued that 100% reliability is not necessary in WSNs, there should be messages (such as mission-critical message, task assignment, software updates, etc.) that need to be reliably delivered to the entire sensor field. We propose to use the TRB algorithm for such cases. Performance evaluation shows that the TRB scheme achieves 100 % reliability significantly better than other schemes with expense of slightly increased energy consumption.

Development of a Vector Graphics Kernel for Mobile Communication Terminals (모바일 통신 단말기를 위한 벡터 그래픽스 커널 개발)

  • Due to rapid development of mobile communication terminals and various requests of their users, multimedia information including image information has been the basis of mobile communication contents. In order to use vectored image information efficiently, which is more favorable than bit-mapped image information when transmission delay time and costs are considered, efficient vector graphics supporting systems are needed. Therefore, vector graphics kernel systems have been proposed and standardization attempts have been made in order to increase interoperability. In this paper, a vector graphics kernel based on OpenVG is designed and implemented. OpenVG was proposed as a standard vector graphics kernel by Khronos Group recently. The implemented vector graphics kernel, named by alexVG, is developed on a PC emulator as well as on a development board equipped with an ARM processor. In addition, performance tests are made in order to verify its functions.
