A Field Study on the Present Situation, Tasks and Policies of E-business in Kangwon Province (강원지역 e-비즈니스 현황과 발전과제)

  • This paper is focused on the e-business level in Kangwon Province by industries, volumes, employees comparing with nation wide survey output, and analysis of the tasks and problems of e-business in environment, infrastructure, process, manpower, effect. Poor level of Kangwon province was identified. It is important that role clarity and cooperation among central goverment, Kangwon province, large enterprises and small and medium enterprises. Local goverment and regional cities and counties should play a centripetal role of the regional enterprises, and faithfully execute the support policies of the central goverment, and make the unique supporting climate of coopration between the university and enterprises in consideration with situations of each regional characteristics. More specifically, there are widening the infrastructure of e-business for regional enterprises, strenthening educatin and public relation of the electronic commerce, supporting and utilizing the electronic ccommerce research center. Also, fund supporting for SOHO is desirable in consideration of the poor Kangwon land and population, and to enhence the electronic commerce technology of the Kangwon enterprises, relative importance of policy of it is incresing. In conclusion, indices of Kangwon province in all areas of the survey is appeared poor. So efficient and effective policies is needed in each central and regional goverment. To promote Kangwon enterprises, investment in e-business commerce should be expanded.

  • The mobile internet service market is growing very rapidly in Korea. This study outlines the current state of mobile internet services and analyzes the mobile contents types of media companies, especially newspapers, broadcasters and internet portal firms. As a result of this study, media companies provide generally different types of news and information for free and they are eager to develop the new mobile business models to maintain their power in new media. But mobile content distribution is still in the early stages due to the lack of clear business models. To satisfy the consumer's needs and to maintain the competitive advantages, the media companies should develop new business models and cooperate with other market participants to reduce the barriers in the mobile internet service market.

  • With the recent advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the importance of the platform business is increasing. Most global companies with high market value are known as platform companies. This change is changing the business model of companies in various industries. However, existing studies have mainly focused on information-intensive industries and large companies. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the case of Everybot, which is successfully growing in the service robot industry. Everybot is known as a company that produces robot cleaners. However, according to the result, the company has focused on developing autonomous driving technologies and pursuing platform-based business strategies rather than product-based ones. The results of this study have theoretical and practical implications by showing how domestic small and medium-sized robot companies apply platform-based business strategies to achieve long-term growth with gaining leadership in the personal service robotics market.

A Study on B2B Workflow Integration Technology (기업간 워크플로우 통합 기술에 대한 연구)

  • E-business automates overall activities in a company and allows distributed systems to communicate their information. The automation and information sharing improves its productivity and responsiveness. B2B workflow systems progress their business processes electronically and help the companies to monitor their execution and administrate the processes. This research analyzes the technologies and standards for B2B workflow integration, and proposes three approaches to implement effectively workflow integration. We analyze several existing workflow standards and business process definition languages, and compare their structures and features. And we examine the messaging technologies and architectures to implement business integration. Finally we extract a reference model for B2B workflow integration, and propose three types of workflow integration and implementation designs. This research helps companies to understand the workflow standards and the messaging technologies for B2B workflow integration, and to implement workflow integration systems that are suitable for their e-business environments.

  • The 'Grand Challenge' in the global level raises fundamental questions on the role of private firm as a profit maximizer. From the new perspective, firms are recognized as a social entity with social and environmental responsibility. Particularly, the importance of transition-orineted firms, which pursue an objective of socio-technological system transition, have increased. These environmental changes request a new understanding on the identification of firms and the evolution of sustainable business model from the technological innovation perspectives. This paper aims on the new understanding on the motivation of firms who participated on the sustainable system transition and the proposal of 'transition-oriented firms' concept. Based on literature survey, this paper reviews the role of firms in the process of socio-technological system transition, the cases of transition-oriented firm, the types of sustainable business models and their strategies.

  • 기업활동으로 인해 수반되는 산업재해를 완전히 제거할 수는 없다하더라도 사고의 발생빈도를 저감시킬 수 있다. 즉, 해당 기업이 안전관리에 얼마만큼 투자를 하느냐에 따라 산업재해예방에 괄목할 만한 성과를 이루어낼 수 있다. 안전경영의 성과는 단지 기업윤리차원의 문제뿐만 아니라 비즈니스의 성공을 보장하는 것으로 기업의 가치창조에 역점을 두어야 할 것이다. 생산성과 높은 안전경영 성과간의 상관관계는 매우 포지티브(positive)한 것임은 여러 사례에서 이미 증명되어졌다. 따라서 안전경영은 품질확보, 이윤창출과 비용절감, 비즈니스기회의 선점에 필수적임을 인식해야 한다.

  • 벤처 비즈니스(venture business)는 '위험(기업)사업'이란 뜻으로 어느 정도 용어의 뜻이 통하는 외래어이지만 비록 익숙한 말이라도 벤처기업(venture enterprise)이란 말은 직역하면'위험(기업)기업'이란 다소 어색한 뜻이 된다. 미국의 경우 Venture Business라는 용어를 사용하지 않고, 신생벤처(New Venture) 또는 기술집약적 신생기업(NTBF: New Technology-based Firm)이라는 용어를 사용하고 있으며, "고위험, 고수익" 사업에 벤처 프로젝트(Venture Project)라는 용어를 쓰고있다.(중략)

  • From natural disasters such as floods, heavy rains, and strong winds and social disasters such as 911 U.S. terrorism and cyber attacks that could have a fatal impact on corporate continuity, it is necessary to introduce and implement a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) within a firm to maintain continuity of business and to change the organizational structure for an emergency state in order to operate and manage it systematically and efficiently. therefore, this study analyzed and verified the impact of introducing a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) on the change in the recognition structure of an organization in four categories, including personal recognition, organizational culture, organizational structure, and organizational strategy, in order to analyse the impact and effect of introducing a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) on the change in the recognition structure of each category. through this study, we believe that the introduction of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) within a firm could effectively change the organization's perception of an emergency state and help it maintain its continuity as well as improve its value.
