In this paper, the business process was easily modeled by distinguishing between the business process and work logic. Based on this model, B2Bi collaboration Workflow modeling tool, which facilitates collaboration, was designed and implemented. The collaboration workflow modeling tool consists of 3 components; business process modeling tool, execution engine and monitoring tool. First, a business process modeling tool is used to build a process map that reflects the business logic of an application in a quick and accurate manner. Second an execution engine provides a real-time execution environment for business process instance. Third, a monitoring tool provides a real-time monitoring function for the business process that is in operation at the time. In addition to this, it supports flexibility and expandability based on XML and J2EE for the linkage with the legacy system that was used previously, and suggests a solution for a new corporate strategy and operation.

To formally describe business process, many business process languages have been so far specified with different origins and goals such as XPDL, BPML and BPELAWS. Especially, XPDL proposed by WfMC has been widely used in various business process environments for a long time. On the other hand, the necessity of a standard graphical notation for a business process may create BPMN driven by BPMI. Because BPMN is composed of graphical constructs which can be used to graphically depict business process, BPMN-formed business processes should ultimately be converted to their corresponding semantically equivalent business process language(XPDL). Then, the business process languages can be consequently executed by business process engines. In this paper, we proposed a transformation mechanism from BPMN to XPDL for a business process. By this paper, We minimized the difference between process designers and process execution modules as reducing the gap of semantics between BPMN and XPDL.

비즈니스 프로세스란 기업의 모든 고객에게 적절한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 순차적 또는 동시적으로 발생할 수 있는 모든 연관된 업무의 집합을 의미한다. 이러한 비즈니스 프로세스는 프로세스 설계 작업을 통하여 시스템 차원에서 관리함으로써 프로세스의 생산성 및 효율성 등을 확대하게 된다. 하지만 프로세스 설계 작업은 주로 사람에 의해 수행되기 때문에 예상하지 못한 오류들이 발생할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 설계 오류들은 기업이 원하는 과정으로 프로세스가 진행하지 않을 수 있으며, 이는 기업의 막대한 인적 손실 및 비용 손실을 초래하게 된다. 그러므로 비즈니스 프로세스 설계 단계에서 오류가 없도록 설계 하거나 또는 미리 정의된 오류 유형들을 설계 도구를 통하여 검출 할 수 있는 작업이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 프로세스 설계 단계에서의 오류 검출 작업에 활용될 수 있도록 유형 별로 설계 오류들을 분석 하고 정의하였다.

As the knowledge-based society hot been constructed, the size of work process that has to be done grows big and the amount of the information that has to be analyzed increases. In the paper business process can be accurately executed by the rule agent to manage precise rules and definitions to be needed by execution of process for management of business process. And individuals con accurately measure and manage personal schedules to execute process through supporting the agent of schedule management. The model is designed and implemented for organization to improve process of control, flexibleness, agility, reliability, and reuse through business process automation and removing process overlapping and for personal to improve measuring personal process capacity and distinguishing process weak points.

워크플로우 관리시스템(Workflow Management System)은 업무 프로세스를 실행하기 위해 사전에 정의된 룰에 따라 태스크들을 수행하는 시스템으로, 프로세스 정의를 interpreter하고 워크플로우 참석자들과 상호작용하며 해당 응용 프로그램을 invoke할 수 있는 시스템이다. 정의된 업무를 수행하기 위해서는 사전에 프로세스 정의 및 모델링이 필요하다. 프로세스 모델링이란 조직의 목표 달성을 위해 다양한 비즈니스 규칙에 의해 정의된 상호연관이 있는 작업들의 수행과정을 정의하는 것으로 본 논문에서는 업무 프로세스를 모델링하고 관리하기 위한 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링 도구를 설계하고 구현하였다.

Business Process is a set of interrelated business functions, which are defined by various business process rule and that will lead a company to accomplishing a specific organizational goal. Many business organizations are using process modeling methods for their business process management, but mostly these methods are accomplished by Human-Based activities. These human-based activities cause unexpected design anomalies in modeling phase. If process engine executed without design anomalies detection, that will be lead to huge loss on costs. To ensure that there is no design anomalies in modeling phase and to detect anomalies of predefined actions within modeling tools are important issues in business process management. In this paper, we provide specific types of design anomalies, which can effectively use to detect design anomalies in business process modeling phase.

본 논문은 BPM(Business Process Model)에 룰(rule/policy)을 적용하여 3-Tier 구조의 BPM을 제안하고자 한다. 이는 비즈니스 프로세스를 효율적으로 관리하고, 빠르게 변화하는 업무를 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링하고 그에 필요한 응용 프로그램의 개발을 위해 BPM과 CBD(Component Based Development)간의 접목에 초점을 둔다. 이를 통해서 새로운 비즈니스 프로세스를 추가/변경 시, 필요한 응용업무 프로그램 개발 기간 단축을 할 수 있으리라 본다. 은행 비즈니스업무에 대해 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링을 적용 사례로 보여준다.

최근 기업 환경이 복잡해지고 분산화 되어감에 따라 각 기업간의 그리고 부서 및 지점간의 프로세스 상호운용 및 협력이 중요한 이슈로 떠오르고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 기업간 비즈니스 프로세스와 메시지 등을 교류할 수 있는 상호운용성이 기업들에게 필수적인 요소로 고려되고 있다. 지금까지 많은 기술자와 연구자들에 의해 기업간 워크플로우 상호운용성을 해결할 수 있는 기술적인 노력이 꾸준히 이루어져 왔다. 기술적 문제의 해결도 중요하지만 이보다 우선적으로 해결되어야 될 것은 비즈니스 프로세스 상호운용성에 대한 개념적 모델링과 정확한 분석이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 워크플로우 패턴들에 대한 연구들을 정리해 보여 줄 뿐만 아니라, 여러 기업간 비즈니스 프로세스가 상호운용될 시 충돌을 유발시킬 수 있는 패턴들을 제시할 것이다. 이러한 패턴들에 관한 연구는 여러 기업들이 복잡한 비즈니스 프로세스를 문제없이 효율적으로 상호운용할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 기본적인 정보가 될 것이다.

기업환경 영역의 글로벌화 진전에 따라 파트너 쉽이 기업의 활동의 중요요소로 대두되고 있으며 협업을 위한 프로세스 관리에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 이렇게 확대 분산되고 있으며 잦은 변경, 프로세스 자체의 방대해짐과 복잡해짐과 동시에 사람의 판단에 대한 의존도가 높아지는데 따른 리스크의 증가를 극복하고 효율적인 경영을 하기 위해서는 기업을 구성하고 있는 고객, 파트너, 임직원, 정보시스템과 비즈니스 프로세스 등을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있어야 한다. 업무 생산성과 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 비즈니스프로세스를 중심으로 이러한 단위업무 들을 연계하고 자동화시킬 필요가 있으며, 이를 가능케 하는 해결책이 바로 BPM(Business Process Management) 솔루션이다. 본고에서는 통합 솔루션으로서의 BPM 과 그 적용 사례를 국내 기업 중심으로 소개한다.

BPM 시스템의 활용이 확대되고 BPM 표준의 채택이 일반화되어가면서, 차츰 BPM 시스템의 관리와 유지보수 및 활용을 극대화할 수 있는 방안에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 여기에는 비즈니스 프로세스 질의 언어의 표준화가 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 비즈니스 프로세스 질의 언어는 마치 데이터베이스 관리 시스템의 SQL처럼 BPM 시스템에 대한 표준적인 접근 및 개발이 가능하게 해주며, 궁극적으로는 BPM 어플리케이션의 개발 생산성과 유지보수성을 향상시켜 줄 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 아직까지 표준화에 대한 명시적인 결과물이 제시되지 않고 있는 비즈니스 프로세스 질의 언어에 대한 기존의 연구 결과를 살펴보고, 어떠한 설계 요소들이 포함되어야 할지를 제시하고, 이를 BPM 시스템에 도입하기 위해 필요한 참조 아키텍처를 제안하고자 한다.
