User Satisfaction and Motivation to Forest Trail near Metropolitan City of Korea - Focused on the Forest Trail of Daegu - (대도시 생활권 숲길 이용자의 방문동기 및 이용만족 - 대구광역시 숲길을 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this study was to suggest fundamental data for managing forest trail efficiently from the aspect of users near metropolitan city of Daegu, and to reveal the differences in visiting motivation and satisfaction on forest trail between regional users and distant users, which based upon the convenience of accessibility. As a result of questionnaire survey on the users of forest trail, it was revealed that they mostly visited recreational and therapeutic purposes. Most users were also satisfied with forest trail experiences without any differences between groups. Regarding to trail facilities, however, regional users within 30 minutes distances from the trail were significantly dissatisfied with the facilities. It was suggested that improving facilities and programs for recreational and therapeutic purposes should be established for regional users in the policy of self governing body.

Aeroelastic Analysis of Bearingless Rotor Systems in Hover and Forward Flight (무 베어링 로터 시스템의 정지 및 전진 비행시 공력탄성학적 해석)

  • In this study, the aeroelastic response and stability of bearingless rotors are investigated using a large deflection beam theory. The outboard main blade, flexbeam, and torque tube are all assumed to be an elastic beam undergoing arbitrary large displacements and rotations. The finite element equations of motion obtained from Hamilton's principle. Two-dimensional quasi-steady strip theory is used to evaluate aerodynamic forces. In hover, the modal approach method based on coupled rotating natural modes is used for the stability analysis. In forward flight, the nonlinear periodic blade steady response is obtained by integrating the full finite element equation in time through a coupled trim procedure with a vehicle trim. The results of the full finite element analysis using the large deflection beam theory are compared with those of a previously published modal analysis using the moderate deflection-type beam theory.

Efficient Cooperative Caching Algorithm for Distributed File Systems (분산 파일시스템을 위한 효율적인 협력캐쉬 알고리즘)

  • In distributed file-systems, cooperative caching algorithm which owns the data cached at each node jointly is used to reduce an expense of disk access. Cooperative caching algorithm is the method that increases a cache hit-ratio and decrease a disk access as it holds the cache information of distributed systems in common and makes cache larger virtually. Recently, several cooperative caching algorithms decrease the message costs by using approximate information of the cache and increase the cache hit-ratio by using local and global cache fields dynamically. And they have an advantage that increases the whole field hit-ratio by sending a replaced block to the idel node on cache replacement in order to maintain the replaced block in the cache field. However the wrong approximate information deteriorates the performance, the concistency maintenance goes to great expense to exchange messeges and the cost that manages Age-information of each node to choose the idle node increases. In this thesis, we propose a cooperative cache algorithm that maintains correct cache information, minimizes the maintance cost for consistency and the management cost for cache Age-information. Also, we show the superiority of our algorithm through the performance evaluation.

  • A pixel-based approach to urban quality of life assessment can be regarded as a spatial decision problem under the condition of complexity because it searches the urban space for evidence of hot spots of quality of life based on multiple and differentially weighted evaluation criteria. Such an assessment involves inappropriate scaling of several incommensurate criteria, much unstructured subjectivity in the decision maker's judgment, and the large data handling in a raster GIS environment. There is a need for identifying alternative approaches to tackle the ill-structured problem in urban quality of life assessment. In this context, this research proposes and implements a spatial multicriteria analysis approach to evaluate urban quality of life in a raster GIS environment. The implementation of this methodology is illustrated with a case study of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Results indicate that the proposed methodology may provide an alternative approach for evaluating the quality of life in an urban environment.

A Study on Roundabout Signal Metering Operation by Considering Entry Lane's Traffic Volume (진입교통량을 고려한 회전교차로 Signal Metering 운영에 관한 연구)

  • Under unsaturated capacity conditions with balanced approach flows, roundabout gives less delay and queue length than existing signalized intersections; however, over capacity conditions with unbalanced approach flows(flow above 450 pcu/h/lane), roundabouts efficiency drops due to the short gap between entering vehicles and circulating vehicles. This study provides a roundabout Signal Metering transfer standard and operation method. In this study, a four-way-approach with one-lane roundabout is selected to compare the Signal Metering performance for the case of unbalanced flow conditions. The performance is evaluated by using SIDRA software in terms of average delay and queue length. The result shows that the Signal Metering provides substantial improvements for the case of total approach flow is 1,800~2,000 pcu/h in which the main approach flow ratio is 60~70% gives 30~40% less delay and 30~60% less queue length than normal roundabout operation. Also, it is approved that operational performance saving can be achieved when the Metered Approach is selected adjoining to the main approach in pair.

  • WMN(Wireless Mesh Network) is an wireless backbone network technology that is an easily configurable network in the low cost compared to the wireless LAN(Local Area Network). Most of the previous researches have evaluated their algorithms by the simulations rather than by the implementation. There exist some implementation papers, however, they have the limitations of the flexibility on the link establishment and the link quality utilization. Consequently, the benefit of the WMN - configuration flexibility is degraded and the performance deterioration occurs in the multi-hop wireless environment. In this paper, we introduce a Linux-based link layer Wireless Mesh Routing System - WBMR. The design and implementation of WBMR provides the dynamic link establishment and the effective multi-channel usage. We have modified the ntroof the original WLAN operation for the dynamic link establishment, and the Linux bridge for the link layer routing. The result of performance evaluation verifies that our WBMR supports fast self-configuration and increases data transmission throughput compared to the other researches of the wireless multi-hop environment.

Non-contact Input Method based on Face Recognition and Pyautogui Mouse Control (얼굴 인식과 Pyautogui 마우스 제어 기반의 비접촉식 입력 기법)

  • This study proposes a non-contact input method based on face recognition and Pyautogui mouse control as a system that can help users who have difficulty using input devices such as conventional mouse due to physical discomfort. This study includes features that help web surfing more conveniently, especially screen zoom, scroll function, and also solves the problem of eye fatigue, which has been suggested as a limitation in existing non-contact input systems. In addition, various set values can be adjusted in consideration of individual physical differences and Internet usage habits. Furthermore, no high-performance CPU or GPU environment is required, and no separate tracker devices or high-performance cameras are required. Through these studies, we intended to contribute to the realization of barrier-free access by increasing the web accessibility of the disabled and the elderly who find it difficult to use web content.

Quantitative evaluation of climate change and human activities on watershed runoff: focused on the Nakdong River basin (기후변화와 인간 활동이 하천 유출량에 미치는 영향에 대한 정량적 평가: 낙동강 유역을 중심으로)

  • 최근 수십 년 동안 전 세계의 거의 모든 하천 유역은 기후변화와 인간 활동에 의해 직간접적으로 영향을 받았다. 특히, 유역 유출량은 기후변화와 인간 활동의 상호작용으로 수자원 분야에서 문제가 되고 있다. 기후와 인간 활동에 의해 변화하는 환경에서 수자원을 효율적으로 관리하기 위해서 유출량의 변화를 이해하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 낙동강 유역의 22개 중권역을 대상으로 과거 관측자료 및 미래 기후변화 시나리오의 유출량, 강수량, 기온, 잠재 증발산량 및 실제 증발산량 자료를 이용하여 기후변화와 인간 활동이 유출량에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 과거 관측자료를 분석할 경우, 기초자료인 유출량의 경향성 및 유의성을 검증하기 위해 비모수적 방법인 Mann-Kendall 검증을 수행하였으며, Pettitt method를 이용하여 변화 지점을 결정하여 기준기간과 사후기간으로 구분하였다. 또한 Budyko 가설 기반 기후 탄력성 접근법을 이용하여 기후변화와 인간 활동이 하천 유출량에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분리하였다. 미래 RCP 시나리오 자료를 분석할 경우에도 기간을 나누고 기후 탄력성 접근법을 이용하여 유출량의 영향을 평가하였다. 분석 결과, 기후변화와 인간 활동의 상대적 기여도는 중권역 간에도 다양하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 미래의 유출량을 분석한 결과, 대부분의 유역에서 기후변화의 기여도는 RCP 4.5일 때에 비해 RCP 8.5에서 더 크게 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 과거 기간(1966~2020)에 대하여 미래 기간 (2062~2099)에 대한 분석에서 중권역 중 금호강(#2012)은 RCP 4.5에서는 22.4%, RCP 8.5에서는 39.8%로 RCP 8.5가 큰 것으로 나타났다.

Determinants of the Utilization of Micro-enterprise Support Services (소액창업 지원서비스 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석)

  • This study was designed to analyze, by using a hierarchical logistic regression analysis method, how difficulties in business start-ups and personal characteristics independently determine the utilization of micro-enterprise support services. The services were categorized into eight areas: capital, technical service, psychological service, item feasibility and business plan, site selection and interior service, marketing, finance and accounting, employment service. This study found that difficulties in business start-ups were a significant factor in six areas. Personal characteristics were a significant factor in four areas, when difficulties in start-ups were controlled. Among the personal characteristics, higher possibility of service utilization was anticipated in people with start-ups experience than people without experience, and in women than men. This results point out that service strategies should be targeted for people with difficulties in order to improve the accessibility of micro-enterprises support services. The results also indicate that the strategies should be considered for people with no start-ups experience, low academic ability, and female entrepreneurs who are vulnerable.

A Route Search of Urban Traffic Network using Fuzzy Non-Additive Control (퍼지 비가법 제어를 이용한 도시 교통망의 경로 탐색)

  • This paper shows alternative route search and preference route search for the traffic route search, and proposes the use of the fuzzy non-additive controller by the application of AHP(analytic hierarchy process). It is different from classical route search and notices thinking method of human. Appraisal element, weight of route is extracted from basic of the opinion gathering for the driving expert and example of route model was used for the finding of practice utility. Model evaluation was performed attribute membership function making of estimate element, estimate value setting, weight define by the AHP, non additive presentation of weight according to $\lambda$-fuzzy measure and Choquet fuzzy integral. Finally, alternative route search was possible to real time traffic route search for the well variable traffic environment, and preference route search showed reflection of traffic route search disposition for the driver individual. This paper has five important meaning. (1)The approach is similar to the driver's route selection decision process. (2)The approach is able to control of route appraisal criteria for the multiple attribute. (3)The approach makes subjective judgement objective by a non additive. (4)The approach shows dynamic route search for the alternative route search. (5)The approach is able to consider characteristics of individual drivers attributed for the preference route search.
