An Analysis of the Meaning of Laughter by Comedians Hee-Gap Kim, Bong-Seo Koo and Young-Chun Seo : focusing on Korean Comedy Movies in the late 1960s (코미디언 김희갑, 구봉서, 서영춘의 웃음 의미작용 분석 : 1960년대 후반기 한국 코미디영화를 중심으로)

  • In this paper, the results of analyzing the meaning of laughter in comedy movies of the late 1960s, focusing on comedians, Hee-Gap Kim, Bong-Seo Koo and Young-Chun Seo, are as follows. First, the narrative laughter of the comedians represents the generational conflict between the lower class and the upper class, the gender conflict between men and women, and the frustration of reality. Second the mechanism of creating laughter of the comedians shows ridicule of the conservative older generation, revelation of the immoral upper class, and caricature of the frustrated lower class. Third, the practical aspect of the comedians' laughter reveals cracks in tradition and modern, gaps in economic inequality, and expression of prohibited desires. Therefore, comedians Hee-Gap Kim, Bong-Seo Koo and Young-Chun Seo in comedy movies of the late 1960s show the semantic effect of laughter of internal/external boundaries and optimistic world views through the closed opening of informal culture and the conflict of characters/performers.

  • Storytelling which is part of human nature, has changed over millions of years. The development of technology and media has shaped Storytelling into various forms and shapes, and due to the recent spread of smart devices, the influence of interactive storytelling has grown significantly. The technology which allows diverse and natural input of users, have transformed the listener to user and has allowed the user to 'experience' the story rather than 'hear' it. In line with the trend in the development of these technologies, this study seeks to design and implement an interactive tale for children on an ipad platform. Focusing on the interaction aspect, this story is designed mainly for 3-7 years olds, which contains various multimedia elements and interaction elements that use built in technology such as multi-touch technology and microphone technology to allow user input that aline with the context of story. Focusing on children's experience and empathy with the characters of the story, 'Three Little Pigs and the Wolf' contains 22 steps and was published in the itunes Store.

  • 최근 온라인 게임 시장이 급속하게 성장하고 있다. 온라인 게임은 컴퓨터 게임의 장르 중에 상당히 큰 비중을 차지하고 있으며, 많은 사용자들은 온라인 게임을 매일 즐기고 있다. 온라인 게임 시장이 커지면서, 온라인 게임 아이템의 거래 시장 역시 성장하고 있으며, 온라인 게임 아이템은 게임 안에서 거래가 이루어질 뿐만 아니라 게임 밖에서도 실제 화폐를 통해 거래되고 있다. 게임 아이템에 대한 경매 사이트가 국내뿐만 아니라 외국에도 존재하여 활발히 거래가 이루어 지고 있으며, 2004년에는 게임 아이템의 구매를 위해서 최대 8억 8000만 달러에 이르는 실제 화폐가 지불될 정도로 게임 아이템의 거래 시장은 거대하다. 이렇게 규모가 커진 게임 아이템 거래 시장은 학술적으로, 실용적으로 많은 중요성을 갖는다. 그러나 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에 대한 실증적인 연구는 많지 않다. 몇몇 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에 대한 연구는 게임 아이템의 권리를 중심으로 연구가 되었으며, 게임에 대한 많은 연구는 게임 아이템보다는 몬스터와 싸우는 것이나 게임 캐릭터를 만드는 것과 같은 게임 플레잉 설계에 집중하고 있다. 또한 전자 상거래 분야에서는 사용자들이 거래를 통해 최대한의 이윤을 얻기 위할 것이라는, 즉 외적 동기를 가지고 있을 것이라는 가정을 바탕으로 거래의 효율성과 거래 비용에 초점을 맞추어 연구가 진행되었다. 그러나 온라인 게임 아이템은 실용적인 성격뿐만 아니라 유희적 성격을 가지고 있기 때문에 온라인 게임 아이템 거래에서 사용자는 외적 동기뿐만 아니라 내적 동기도 함께 가지게 된다. 본 연구는 거래 비용이론과 몰입, 그리고 재미와 관련된 이론을 바탕으로, 온라인 게임 아이템의 거래 방식이 사용자의 지각된 재미와 사용자가 느끼는 거래비용에 미치는 영향을 실험 방법론을 통해 실증적으로 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 거래에서 내적 동기를 가진 사용자는 게임 아이템 거래 의도에 지각된 재미가 거래 비용에 비해 더 많은 영향을 미쳤으며, 외적 동기를 가진 사용자는 게임 아이템 거래 의도에 지각된 거래비용이 지각된 재미에 비해 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구의 결과는 과거 대부분의 관련 연구가 거래 방법의 유용성만을 강조해왔던 것과는 달리, 거래 자체의 재미와 즐거움, 그리고 거래에 대한 몰입 등의 감성적 측면을 고려함으로써 거래 비용 이론을 확장했다는 데 이론적 의의가 있을 것이다. 또한 실용적 측면에서 게임 아이템 거래 방식을 어떻게 설정해야 사용자들에게 유용성과 더불어 재미를 제공해 줄 수 있는지에 대한 실질적인 가이드라인을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

  • This paper is a study of the changing nature of software for virtual Cyborg self and the virtual body that occur in the game from a philosophical point of view. Looking broadly, the cyborg concept refers to the combination of man and machine. Specifically, there is a hardware cyborg organism to combine human and restoration of machine In addition, there is software cyborg by electronic the human brain of converting a virtual body. Virtual games are cases software-Cyborg applied. In the game , There seems to have characteristics of virtual body and ego that different from general cyborg meaning. To analyze the features, I applied the concept of software-cyborg of Hans morabek and the multiple selves in cyberspace properties of Kim Sun-Hee. generally, software cyborg cloning the brain type tended to invalidate the body due to the nature of the virtual world. But If you look at third-person's view and the game character that made from real actors, it is pursuing the realism of photographic images and it stressed the need for a virtual body in order to maintain the psychological identity of the player. And, The game player crosses the eight characters to choose while completing the mission. This is a big role in the reality ego leads to the desired final ending with the selection and experience to be experienced as self-replication to multiple.   • The Cultural Revolution in the history of Chinese animation hinder the development of the initial animation, and after a negative assessment instrument provided the cause is to become sluggish growth of the Chinese animation. So this time animation are things that are the subject of academic research studies or analysis has been depreciating almost uniformly without evaluation. However, of all the cultural and artistic creation it is developing in its own specific historical conditions and has the aesthetic results. This paper puts the primary purpose is to hold in consideration the aesthetic principles that led to cultural and artistic creativity and objective perspective the achievements the Chinese animation of the time period of the Cultural Revolution. Cultural Revolution is avoided to the previous period in accordance with the socialist ideology of Mao Ze-dong(毛澤東) sikindaneun highlight the culture of the proletariat and placed our goal to create a new class culture.   • With the success of the world's first 3D computer animated film, "Toy Story" in 1995, industrial development of 3D computer animation gained considerable momentum. Consequently, various 3D animations for TV were produced; in addition, high quality 3D computer animation games became common. To save a large amount of 3D animation production time and cost, technological development has been conducted actively, in accordance with the expansion of industrial demand in this field. Further, compared with the traditional approach of producing animations through hand-drawings, the efficiency of producing 3D computer animations is infinitely greater. In this study, an experiment and a comparative analysis of markerless motion capture systems for facial expression animation has been conducted that aims to improve the efficiency of 3D computer animation production. Faceware system, which is a product of Image Metrics, provides sophisticated production tools despite the complexity of motion capture recognition and application process. Faceshift system, which is a product of same-named Faceshift, though relatively less sophisticated, provides applications for rapid real-time motion recognition. It is hoped that the results of the comparative analysis presented in this paper become baseline data for selecting the appropriate motion capture and key frame animation method for the most efficient production of facial expression animation in accordance with production time and cost, and the degree of sophistication and media in use, when creating animation.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new approach of machine learning based method for detecting game-bots from normal players in MMORPG by inspecting the player's action log data especially in-game money increasing/decreasing event log data. DBSCAN (Density Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise), an one of density based clustering algorithms, is used to extract the attributes of spatial characteristics of each players such as a number of clusters, a ratio of core points, member points and noise points. Most of all, even game-bot developers know principles of this detection system, they cannot avoid the system because moving a wide area to hunt the monster is very inefficient and unproductive. As the result, game-bots show definite differences from normal players in spatial characteristics such as very low ratio, less than 5%, of noise points while normal player's ratio of noise points is high. In experiments on real action log data of MMORPG, our game-bot detection system shows a good performance with high game-bot detection accuracy.

  • In Pingyu, China, 2003, murders caused by the game occurred. The perpetrator murdered 17 people under 20 years old by imitating the character of warrior of the game in the real world. This event was to draw the public's attention to a change of mentality and morality of the youth from the game. People have pointed to the problem of emotional design in the process of designing online games. Game designers have not considered making the game in the most ethical component. The moral element of the game design is a very important factor in forming the psychological changes and outlook on life and values of gamers. Therefore, to understand the rational moral standards is an important part of the online game design. This paper aims the design of a "moral system" role, contents and tasks settings and community game design elements of the game by using a systematic process of the moral element in online gaming. Hence the result is the formation of moral attitudes and values to the user of the online game allows the gamers to introduce a moral system in online games.

  • Goryeong, the center of Daegaya's historic culture, has pushed tourism development utilizing Daegaya's historic cultural resource. The tourist's cognition level of Goryeong is very low and the tourists of Goryeong have been decreased compared with them of Gyeongbuk. However, Goryeong has a variety of cultural tourism resources and geographical proximity with Daegu, and the potential of it attracts the tourism market. This research examines the tourism demands and supplies of Goryeong and then recommend the improvemental aspect of tourism po1icy and the developmental aspect of tourism resource in Goryeong. Goryeong needs the tourism po1icy to cotstruct the system which supplies the useful tourism information to tourism organizations and firms and to create the sustainable tourism product innovation. The tourism development should be pushed in two ways: the revitalization of the developed tourism resources and the creation of tourism product.

  • Aristotle's Poetics is the earliest work of dramaturgy. It explains some of the most important narrative notions, for example, Mimesis, Katharsis, Mythos(Plot), Ethos(Character), Anagnorisis and Peripeteia. etc. Aristotle considered the plot which is the arrangement of events, as the most important element of drama. This paper presents an example of a plot configuration as an alternative to the traditional narration used since Aristotle. Dead Island, developed by Techland and published by Deep Silver, is one of the most successful action role-playing survival zombie video games. Its trailer, the Winner of Gold Prize for Internet Film at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2011. Since the purpose of the trailer is to attract the audiences/gamers to the film/game, it has generally a similer narrative method from its own works. But Dead Island trailer is different. We treat this trailer as an short animation. It could be a new example of the non-linear narrative by the control of the time for example, temporal arrangement, direction and speed. We analyse all shots of Dead Island's trailer with Poetics' rules and with $G{\acute{e}}rard$ Genette's some narrative notions for example temporal order and duration. Furthermore we look for how to maximize the audiences' curiosity by the adjustment of the time, combined with its shocking images.
