Hand Emotional Quotient (HEQ) which is classified as 10 grades was newly suggested as one of the sensibility evaluation methods for the beautiful hands and was applied to assess the qualitative and quantitative relationships between morphological characteristics and HEQ. The factors influenced on the HEQ were in order as width-length ratio of hands, finger length-hand length and finger width-hand length ratios. Otherwise the influences of hand length-nail length and finger length-nail length ratios on HEQ were insignificant. The longer length of hand, finger, and nail and the narrower width of hand and finger, the higher HEQ hands get. In conclusion, it is found that all morphologic characteristics of hands influenced on the sensitivity synthetically. The data constructed on the hand's sensibility is very useful for various beauty products and service areas related to hands.

The analysis shows that the C group simultaneously applied with dietary supplement and complex nail supplement presented the best result in all areas. As for the morphological changes of the surface of nails measured by the scanning electron microscope, there were definite changes as compared with the B group. According to the result, it is proved that complex dietary supplement helps to improve the thickness and the surface of damaged nails and it is reasoned that a higher effect can be expected when complex nail supplement is simultaneously used.

  • This study is about the development of transparent cleansing water with one of the beta-hydroxy acids (BHA), salicylic acid, and capryloyl salicylic acid, which is one of the lipo-hydroxy acids (LHA). Transparent appearance was stabilized by increasing the solubility of lipophilic salicylic acid and capryloyl salicylic acid in water using ethanol, polyol, and sodium hydroxide, and supplementing suspension and deposition using a double micelle structure of two types of PEG surfactants. Cleansing water applied with this technology was developed, and makeup removing ability and skin texture improvement ability were confirmed using an optical camera and an image analyzer. This solubilization technology is proposed as a new approach of LHA, which has been difficult to apply due to its low solubility in water, and is expected to help in the development of new chemical peeling products.

For this, it investigated their perception regarding the ingredients and efficacies of cosmeceuticals and repurchase intention among a total of 193 adults in their 20-50s who have had prior experience of buying these types of products from an online shopping mall as the importance of cosmeceuticals is emerging. According to a survey on consumer perceptions regarding the ingredients of cosmeceuticals by gender, there was a clear difference between men and women. In particular, when asked about the ingredients of whitening cosmetics, the percentage of male respondents was as low as 30.8% with a significant difference between men and women (t=31.688,p<0.001). In addition, most consumers were very aware of the efficacies of the ingredients of cosmeceuticals on the skin. In terms of actual repurchase intention, however, a significant difference was found by gender and product type in 3 different cosmeceuticals. In other words, men were lower than women in terms of awareness of cosmeceuticals and repurchase intention.
