분말처리 방법에 따른 $UO_2$ 분말 및 성형체에서의 기공도 변화

  • AUC-$UO_2$, ADU-$UO_2$ 분말이 ball mill과 attritor mill에서 분쇄될 때, 기공도변화를 측정함으로서 분말의 특성변화와 분쇄거동을 관찰하였다. 분쇄전 ADU-$UO_2$ 분말은 0.3-7 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위의 기공들이 고르게 분포하였으며, ball mill에서 분쇄되어도 그 분포는 거의 변화가 없었다. 분쇄전 AUC-$UO_2$ 분말은 3-8 $\mu\textrm{m}$와 0.05-0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위의 기공이 주로 생성되어 있는 bimodal 분포를 나타내었다. Ball mill에서 분쇄됨에 따라 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$이상의 큰 기공과 0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하의 작은 기공이 소멸되고, 0.2-3 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 기공들이 고르게 분포하는 경향을 나타내었다. 반면에 AUC-$UO_2$가 attritor mill에서 분쇄될 경우에는 bimodal 분포는 그대로 유지하면서 3-8 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 큰 기공은 줄어들고 0.05-0.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 기공은 그 양이 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이것은 ball mill에서는 주로 충격작용에 의해서, attritor mill에서는 전단작용에 의해서 분쇄가 진행됨으로 인한 분쇄기구의 차이인 것으로 사료된다.

Quality Characteristics of Korean Red Ginseng Powder with Different Milling Methods (분쇄방법에 따른 고려홍삼분말의 품질특성)

  • Cell cracking method using a non-collision was evaluated for the possibility of new red ginseng grinding technique. Based on particle size distribution analysis by 1size shaker, the ratios of 100 mesh penetrated particles were 94.9% for hammer mill (group A) and 95.6% for cell crack (group B). The ratio of 120 mesh penetrated particle of group A was higher than that in group B. The particle size distributions for 100 mesh non-penetrated Powder between 2 groups were not significantly different, and particle size distribution analysis by laser scattering analyzer showed that the particle size ranges were 0.77~128.07 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for group A and 4.24~180.07 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for group B. The Particle size distribution in group A was more broad than that in group B. The mean particle size in group B was larger than that in group A, while the standard deviation of particle size distribution in group B was less than that in group A. Structural surface characteristics, in group A, particle size distribution was broad and the distribution curve was amorphous. The structure of individual particles was similar to unequal stone which was roughly grinded and had soft cotton-like surface. In the contrary, in group B, particle size distribution was relatively narrow and also individual size particles were ubiquitously distributed. The structure of individual particles was unequal cut stone shape.

Attritor milling에 의한 $UO_2$ - 4wt% 분말의 혼합 및 혼합분말의 특성변화

  • $UO_2$ 및 CeO$_2$ 분말을 turbular mixer에서 혼합, 또는 attritor mill에서 분쇄한 후, 각 분말의 특성변화와 이에 따른 소결특성의 변화를 관찰하였다. 혼합된 분말은 평균입자크기와 비표면적이 각각 22.9$\mu\textrm{m}$, 5.1g/㎤이었고, 2시간 분쇄된 분말은 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$, 6.7g/㎤이었다. 혼합분말로 성형할 경우의 소결밀도는 성형압력의 증가에 관계없이 약 9.6 g/㎤로서 매우 낮았고, 2시간 분쇄된 분말은 10.35 9/㎤ 이상으로 나타나, 혼합핵연료 소결체 제조시 분쇄공정이 반드시 필요함을 나타내었다. 분쇄된 분말을 환원성분위기에서 소결할 경우에는 분쇄시간이 증가함에 따라 결정립이 8$\mu\textrm{m}$까지 증가하였는데 이것은 CeO$_2$ 분말의 미세화와 함께 Ce 성분이 균질 하게 분포되었기 때문으로 사료된다. 그러나 산화성분위기에서는 분쇄시간이 증가할 때 평균 결정립크기는 6$\mu\textrm{m}$로서 변화가 거의 없었다.

Physicochemical Characteristics of Super-Yield Korean Rice Cultivar depending on Milling Condition (초다수성 국내쌀 품종의 분쇄방법에 따른 이화학적 특성)

  • A high-yield Korean rice cultivar cv. Boramchan and Hanmaeum, and rice cultivar for use in staple cv. Hopum were prepared and investigated for their physiological characteristics. Water content, water holding capacity, amylose content, damaged starch content, particle size, and pasting properties of the rice flours were measured. Moisture content of the Boramchan and Hanmaeum, made under wet and dry milling conditions, were as follows: wet conditions (14.79% and 13.56% respectively) and dry conditions (7.98% and 7.14% respectively). Water holding capacity of the Boramchan and Hanmaeum made by wet milling condition was 236.67% and 231.35%, respectively. Water holding capacity of the samples made by dry milling condition showed a higher score compared with other samples. The amylose content of Hopum, Boramchan, and Hanmaeum made by dry milling condition were 19.12%, 19.55% and 19.59%, respectively. Damaged starch contents of the samples made by wet milling showed a lower score. Final viscosity of Hopum, Boramchan, and Hanmaeum made by wet milling condition was 2,604, 3,052, and 2,917 cp, respectively. In this study, the results indicated that the super-yield Korean rice flour made by wet milling condition tends to show a lower water holding capacity, damaged starch contents and particle size, as compared to controls. However, a setback of the super-yield Korean rice flour was a higher score as compared to the controls, regardless of the milling conditions.

Breakage and Surface Oxidation Characteristics of Waste NdFeB Magnet for Recycling (NdFeB 자석 재활용을 위한 파분쇄 및 그에 따른 표면 산화 특성 연구)

  • Due to the increasing demand of rare earth magnet for various application, it is predicted that the amount of waste rare earth magnet will increase sharply. The process of waste rare earth magnet recycling is mainly consisted of leaching and separation of rare earth element contained in the magnet. However, there is no study on the breakage characteristics of the waste rare earth magnet for production of magnet powder. Therefore, in this study, effective crushing/grinding process and breakage characteristics were investigated for waste rare earth magnet. In the case of jaw crusher, the particle size of magnet was effectively reduced without rapid oxidation. In ball mill grinding test, it was found that the grinding process was not performed properly at the early stage of grinding. Moreover, waste rare earth magnet showed very low specific rate of breakage(S) and high fraction of fine particle breakage distribution(B) compared to ordinary minerals. These results can be used as a basic data for developing crushing/grinding circuit of waste rare earth magnet.

  • 분포지역과 매장량이 한정되어 있는 석유에 비하여 석탄은 가채년수가 길고 세계 전역에 널리 분포되어 있으므로 향후 안정적인 에너지 공급으로 각광받고 있다. 석탄을 이용하여 CWM을 제조하는 기술은 석유에 비하여 저장, 수송, 분진 비산등의 문제점을 개선하여 위하여 1980년대부터 석탄 물 혼 합연료(Coal-Water Mixture)의 기술개발을 위한 연구가 진행되었다. 이는 미분탄(유연탄)에 30%정도의 물과 약간의 첨가제를 혼합하여 유체화하여 수송성은 액체연료와 같고 연소성은 석탄의 성상을 갖는 특징을 가지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 당센터에서 보유하고 있는 습식 분류층 가스화장치에 적용하기 위한 CWM(Coal Water Mixture)제조 특성을 연구하였다. 습식 석탄 가스화기에 사용되는 CWM은 미분되어진 석탄과 물, 첨가제를 일정비율로 혼합하여 사용하게 된다. 이때 공급되어지는 미분의 입도와 분쇄 형태에 따른 입자 형태, 입자의 분포에 따라서 CWM의 특성이 각각 다르게 나타나게 된다. 이때 만들어진 CWM의 농도와 점도 특성에 따라서 버너의 성능 및 가스화기 운전 조건등에 많은 영향을 미치게 된다. 습식 석탄 가스화에 적용된 예정인 대상탄을 대상으로 하여 석탄분쇄 형태에 따른 CWM의 제조 특성을 실험하였다.

Separation of Metals from Intergrated Circuit Chip Scrap by Mechanical Beneficiation (기계적 처리에 의한 반도체 IC칩 스크랩으로부터 유가금속의 분리에 관한 연구)

  • The separation of valuable metals from IC chip scrap generated by domestic electronic company was carried out using the mechanical beneficiation such as shredding, crushing, screening and magnetic separation. The distribution of metals in various sizes of crushed IC chip scrap was investigated and metals present in crushed products was separated with the magnetic separator. The particle size distribution of crushed IC chip scrap was 7.5% for +3mm, 17.0% for 3~1mm and 75.5% for -1mm. The weight loss of crushed IC chip scrap was 18% when roasted at $700^{\circ}C$. The content of metals was 96% for +3~1mm, 13% for 1~0.595mm, 3.7% for 0.95~0.5. Au of 99% was present in -1mm crushed IC chip scrap. Ni, Fe, Cu, Sn and Pb were separated from crushed IC chip scrap by the magnetic separator under 700 and 2, 500 Gauss.
