An Efficient Query Processing in Stream DBMS using Query Preprocessor (질의 전처리기를 사용한 스트림 DBMS의 효율적 질의처리)

  • The telematics data management deals with queries on stream data coming from moving cars. So the stream DBMS should process the large amount of data stream in real-time. In this article, previous research projects are analyzed in the aspects of query processing. And a hybrid model is introduced where query preprocessor is used to process all types of queries in one singe system. Decreasing cost and rapidly increasing Performance of devices may guarantee the utmost parallelism of the hybrid system. As a result, various types of stream DBMS queries could be processed in a uniform and efficient way in a single system.

  • In this paper, we propose an intelligent model lot extraction of the web user's preference and present the results of evaluation. For this purpose, we analyze shortcomings of current information retrieval engine being used and reflect preference weights on learner. As it doesn't depend on frequency of each word but intelligently learns patterns of user behavior, the mechanism Provides the appropriate set of results about user's questions. Then, we propose the concept of preference trend and its considerations and present an algorithm for extracting preference with examples. Also, we design an intelligent model for extraction of behavior patterns and propose HTML index and process of intelligent learning for preference decision. Finally, we validate the proposed model by comparing estimated results(after applying the Preference) of document ranking measurement.

  • This paper studied various low power structures of texture caches for mobile 3D graphics accelerator to reduce the memory latency of texture data. Also the paper designed the texture cache with the variable threshold values of power mode transition according to the filtering algorithms. In the trace driven simulation, we compared the performance of those structures using Quake game engine as the benchmark. Also the algorithm was proposed and verified by the simulation, which has variable threshold values of power mode transitions according to the selected texture filtering method.

  • 자동차 번호판 인식은 대중적인 감시 기술 중의 한 종류로서, 주어진 비디오나 영상 내 광학문자 인식을 수반한다. 고속도로나 국도 상에 과속 단속 시스템, 재형 건물이나 유통센서 및 주차장 등에서 주차 정산 시스템, 고속도로 톨 게이트에서 hi-pass 에러 및 불법 도주 차량 잔속 시스템, 전국 주요 도로 불법 주 정차 단속 시스템, 공공기관, 기업 출퇴근 시간 확인 및 외부 차양 안내 시스템 등의 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS)이나 국도 상에 범위 차량 검거 시스템, 사건 발생 시 주요 도로상에 설치된 CCTV를 통해 용의 차량 이동 추적 시스템, 이동식 범죄 차량 조회, 버스에 탑재된 버스 전용차선 위반 단속들의 지능형 방범 시스템 등에 활용하고 있다. 번호판 인식은 자동차 번호판 국부화, 번호판의 크기, 차원, 명암대비, 밝기를 조정하는 정규화, 개별문자를 얻어내는 문자 분할, 문자를 인식하는 광학 문자 인식, 번호판의 형태, 크기, 위치 들이 연도별, 지역별로 차이가 있는 번호판들의 데이터베이스를 비교하여 구문 분석을 하는 절차를 거친다. 본 논문에서는 EmguCV를 이용하여 구현한 번호판 감지를 수행하여 위치를 찾아내고, 오픈 소스 광학 문자 인식 엔진으로 잘 알려져 있는 테서렉트 OCR을 이용하여 번호판의 문자를 인식하는 자동 인식 프로그램을 구현하고 기술하였다.

  • Test results including the variation of propellant-inlet pressure, pulsed thrust, and environment vacuum with the accompanying thermal responses are presented for the pulse-mode operation of a set of monopropellant hydrazine thrusters producing $0.95lb_f$ of nominal steady-state thrust at an inlet pressure of 350 psia. The test data are reduced into the impulse bit, specific impulse, and force centroid that are the factors typically characterizing pulse-mode performance of small rocket engines. With a scrutiny to the performance parameters, their comparison to the reference criteria of 1 lbf standard monopropellant rocket engine are successfully made.

  • This is a thesis about the experiment of comparison characteristic of power and exhaust gas in the same condition between diesel engine that is equipped turbocharger to increase effectiveness of the engine which is recently used in a lot of industry which requires high power. Resulting of the experiment with natural aspiration diesel engine and turbocharger diesel engine, difference in low speed is not significant, but in high speed, effectiveness of turbocharger diesel engine is much higher than the other one. In other hand, in exhaust gas experiment, turbocharger model exhausts more NOX and $O_2$, but it doesn't significantly affect the result when it comes with decreasing of $CO_2$ and effectiveness of increased power characteristic. As a result, the turbocharger diesel engine is economically effective comparing with the natural aspiration diesel engine.

  • This paper was focused on the particulate matter (PM) on the gasoline and bio ethanol. Bio ethanol as a clean fuel is considered one of the alternative fuels that decreased the PM emission from the vehicle. Particle formation in SI engine was depended on the fuel and engine operating condition. In this paper, Particle number concentration behaviors were analyzed by DMS500 (Differential Mobility Spectrometer) and CPC (Condensation Particle Counter) instrument which was recommended by PMP (Particle Measurement Programme). Particle emissions were measured with various engine operating variables such as air excess ratio ($\lambda$), spark timing and intake valve opening (IVO) at part load condition. In vehicle test, the number of particulate matter was analyzed with golden particle measurement system, which was consist of CVS (Constant Volume Sampler), particle number counter and particle number diluter.

  • With the availability of real-time student behavioral data, personalization on education is gaining a huge traction. Data collected from massively open online courses (MOOC) has shifted the content delivery method from fixed, static to user-adopted form. Such educational content can be personalized by student's level of achivement. In this paper, we propose a service that automates the content restructuring, based on dynamic profile. With the student behavioral data, the proposed service restructures educational content by changing the order, extending and shrinking the published material. To do this, we record students' behavioral data and content information as a metadata, which will be used to generate dynamic profile.

  • Jet noise of propulsion systems is major source of acoustic loads of launch vehicles and sounding rockets. The investigation of characteristics of jet noise is inevitable for successful missions. In this paper, the mechanism of generation of acoustic loads due to jet noise was investigated. The major parameters that change the characteristics of acoustic loads were also suggested so that effects of the parameters could be investigated. The temporal and spatial characteristics of acoustic loads of KSR-III was demonstrated. The results show that the maximum value of the acoustic loads is found in the octave bands whose center frequencies are 250 Hz and 500 Hz. Finally, the methods and the facilities for the further investigation of acoustic loads were proposed.

  • Numerical simulations of closed-type and open-type single injectors were conducted to investigate the flow characteristics of a swirl-coaxial injector used in a liquid rocket engine. Numerical analysis was conducted using a commercial program ANSYS FLUENT. The injectors has three models with different recess length. Numerical analysis was conducted to investigate the variation of the flow characteristics of the injector when the flow condition were changed. It was also compare and analyzed with experimental results. The results obtained from the numerical simulation show that the difference between the inlet pressure and the discharge coefficient is not significant.
