Nano-sized a-alumina with a narrow distribution was prepared by using Flame Spray Pyrolysis (FSP). The microemulsion of water in oil (W/O) was prepared to make ultrafine droplets for FSP process. Kerosene (fuel) as a continuos phase and Al(NO$_3$)$_3$$.$9$H_2O$ (oxidizer) aqueous solution as a dispersed phase were prepared for microemulsification. The microemulsion with dispersion stability was obtained by adjusting the composition of 80 vol% kerosene, 10 vol% aqueous solution, and 10 vol% emulsifying agent. Microemulsion was sprayed onto the flame by using two-fluid nozzle spray gun under the condition of 0.03 ㎫ air pressure. The synthesized products were $\alpha$-alumina phase with the size of 20 to 30 nm.
The distribution of particles, in the mixture of poly(ethyl acrylate-co-t-butyl acrylate) (PEB) emulsion polymer and silica nanoparticles, was determined mainly depending on the pH of the mixture. The weak interfacial interaction was responsible for the severe coagulation of silica particles and the irregular dispersion for these nanocomposites. Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) was used to modify both the polymer and the silica. The nanocomposites which were prepared with these modified components had finer dispersion of silica nanoparticles and core-shell morphology due to the strong interfacial interaction. The strong hydrogen bonds were identified for these nanocomposites with FT-IR. The nanocomposites having strong interfacial interaction showed the increased glass transition temperature, the decreased ΔC$_{p}$ , and the increased decomposition temperature of the polymer chains. polymer chains.
Some bacteria with different mechanisms for hydrocarbon degradation were isolated from oil-contaminated soils in Korea. Isolate Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SL1 showed biosurfactant- producing activity in oil-spreading test, and it exhibited a good emulsifying activity of 43.6 and 54.5% for diesel oil and n-hexane, respectively. It also has high cell surface hydrophobicity which can make it easily attaches to hydrocarbons and degrade them. It degraded 100% of 1,000 mg/L of n-octadecane and naphthalene, respectively in 3 days, 72.3% of 1,000 mg/L diesel oil in 7 days and 78.0% of 10,000 mg/L diesel oil in oil-contaminated soil during 28 days. Isolated strains Bacillus amyloliquefaciens S10 and B. subtilis GO9 can produce biosurfactant and formed 6.34 and 2.5 cm diameter of clear zones, respectively in oil-spreading test. Surface tension of their culture supernatant reduced from 74.6 to 34.4 and 33.3 mN/m, respectively during incubation, and critical micelle concentrations of culture supernatants were 2.0 and 5.9%, respectively. Consortium of A. calcoaceticus SL1 and B. amyloliquefaciens S10 degraded 77.8% of 10,000 mg/L diesel oil in 3 days, which indicated more efficient oil degradation than that by A. calcoaceticus SL1 alone. If these bacteria were applied together as a consortium to oil-contaminated sites, they may show a high removal rate of petroleum hydrocarbons.
This study was investigated to the structure of cell wall during maturation for the research of softening of jujube fruits. Cell was hardly combined with each other untill turning stage, but middle lamella of cell wall was splited at mature stage and was observed splited cell. The middle lamella of cell wall was not observed at green mature stage, but was observed at turning stage. Cell wall was degraded at mature stage. It was observed mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum et. at in jujube fruit of green mature stage, but cytoplasm and organelle was attached on cell wall as vacuole was grown up after turning stage.
Optimal reaction condition for the starch hydrolysis by ${\alpha}$-amylase was determined and the sugar produced under the optimal condition was measured for estimating the biodegradation of strach-filled polyethylene film. Optimal ranges of temperature and pH were 70~$80^{\circ}C$ and 6.3~7.3, respectively. The 100 units of ${\alpha}$-amylase per mg starch were enough for the enzyme reaction. Reaction with polyethylene film containing 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% starch in the above condition showed that the sugar produced was proportional to the starch content in film. This relationship provides a calibration curve for determining the starch content of search-filled polyethylene film. The average amount of hydrolyzed starch was about 40% of total starch in film. The rest of the starch is considered to be still dispersed in the film and not to be attacked by ${\alpha}$-amylase. In this experiment, we could obtain the higher biodegradability through the $\alpha$-amylase reaction in the above optimal condition than the reported one which had been Improved by adding surfactant.
We examine the information transmission between the Service Industrial Production Index and the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index, based on the returns data offered by the Korea Bank. The data includes daily return data from January 2000 to September 2015. Utilizing a dynamic analytical tool-the VAR model, Granger Causality test, Impulse Response Function and Variance Decomposition have been implemented. The results of the analysis are as follows. Firstly, results of Granger Causality test suggests the existence of mutual causality the Service Industrial Production Index precede and have explanatory power the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index However the results also identified a greater causality and explanatory power of the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index over the Service Industrial Production Index. Secondly, the results of impulse response function suggest that the Service Industrial Production Index show immediate response to the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index and are influenced by till time 5 From time 2, the impact gradually disappears. Also the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index show immediate response to the Service Industrial Production Index and are influenced by till time 2.5, the impact gradually disappears. Lastly, the variance decomposition analysis shows that the changes of return of Service Industrial Production Index are dependent on those of the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index. This implies that returns on the Service Industrial Production Index have a significant influence over returns on the Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index. It contributes to the understanding of market price formation function through analysis of detached the Service Industrial Production Index and Service Industrial Wholesale and Retail Index. Finally, our results can be used as a guide by the Korea Bank and Republic of Korea and as well as Statistics Korea.
