Data Acquisition System Design of I&C System in Nuclear Power Plant (원자력 발전소 계측제어시스템의 정보취득장치 설계)

  • This paper presents a new Data acquisition system that can improve a accuracy and response characteristics by designing a SDAS(Signal Datat Acquisition System). I&C(Instrumentation and Control) system, which it applied for Nuclear Power Plant, affects for safety either directly or indirectly. It should be assessed by the equipment qualification procedure to confirm the functionality during design life before it apply on the nuclear power plant depending on safety classification. This paper proposes data acquisition system that required as an essential measurement equipment in the method and procedure of equipment qualification following of standards and codes of IEEE and Nuclear Regulatory Guide. It provides comparable and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably improved accuracy performance in the data acquisition system. This circuit will be able to be used in high performance I&C system.

Estimation of explosion risk potential in fuel gas supply systems for LNG fuelled ships (액화 천연 가스 연료 선박의 연료 공급 장치 폭발 잠재 위험 분석)

  • As international environmental regulations for pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions discharged from ships are being reinforced, it is drawing attention to use LNG as ship fuel. This paper compares the explosion risk potential in the LNG fuel gas supply systems of two types used in marine LNG fuelled vessels. By selecting 8500 TEU class container ships as target, LNG storage tank was designed and pressure conditions were assumed for the use of each fuel supply type. The leak hole sizes were divided into three categories, and the leak frequencies for each category were estimated. The sizes of the representative leak holes and release rates were estimated. The release rate and the leak frequency showed an inverse relationship. The pump type fuel gas supply system showed high leak frequency, and the pressure type fuel gas supply system showed high release rate. Computational fluid dynamics simulation was applied to perform a comparative analysis of the explosion risk potential of each fuel supply system.

  • Intercom System(ICS) of Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH) is an essential equipment for pilot to perform flight mission and it consists of communication system of KUH with VHF-FM radio set and U/VHF-AM radio set. It provides pilots and crews with internal communication, external communication and audible alarm. It has function of controlling volume and selecting two communication modes, normal mode and backup mode. This paper summarizes pilot comments in flight test which are classified by cause of occurrence and the troubleshooting process about each comment. It also describes design improvements which was derived from troubleshooting and suggests verification results of flight test.

  • This paper describes the experiments of gaze tracking utilizing a low-cost electrooculogram measuring device. The goal of the experiments is to verify whether the low-cost device can be used for a complicated human-computer interaction tool, such as the eye-writing. Two experiments are conducted for this goal: a simple gaze tracking of four directional eye-movements, and eye-writing-which is to draw letters or shapes in a virtual space. Eye-written alphabets were obtained by two PSL-iEOGs and an Arduino Uno; they were classified by dynamic positional warping after preprocessed by a wavelet function. The results show that the expected recognition accuracy of the four-directional recognition is close to 90% when noises are controlled, and the similar median accuracy (90.00%) was achieved for the eye-writing when the number of writing patterns are limited to five. In future works, additional algorithms for stabilizing the signal need to be developed.

Investigation and Evaluation of Algae Removal Technologies Applied in Domestic Rivers and Lakes (국내 하천/호수에 적용된 조류저감기술의 조사 및 평가)

  • Commercial 28 algae removal technologies that have been applied in domestic rivers and lakes with green tide were investigated, analyzed and classified. The classification of algae removal technologies was based on the three criteria (i.e., principle, flow rate of water body, and application period). Also, algae removal technologies were evaluated in terms of cost effectiveness, field applicability, effect durability, and eco friendliness. From the analysis results, technologies using physical, chemical, biological, and convergent controls were 32.2%, 25%, 21.4%, and 21.4%, respectively. The 75% of technologies have been applied to stagnant water body (${\leq}0.2m/s$). Also, algae harvesting ship with dissolved air flotation, conveyor belt and filtration processes and natural floating coagulant were found to have better field applicability, compared to other technologies. However, proper algae removal technology in specific rivers and lakes should be chosen after the evaluation of long-term pilot scale field test. Also, development of energy and resource recovery technologies from algae biomass is warranted.

Detection Fastener Defect using Semi Supervised Learning and Transfer Learning (준지도 학습과 전이 학습을 이용한 선로 체결 장치 결함 검출)

  • Recently, according to development of artificial intelligence, a wide range of industry being automatic and optimized. Also we can find out some research of using supervised learning for deteceting defect of railway in domestic rail industry. However, there are structures other than rails on the track, and the fastener is a device that binds the rail to other structures, and periodic inspections are required to prevent safety accidents. In this paper, we present a method of reducing cost for labeling using semi-supervised and transfer model trained on rail fastener data. We use Resnet50 as the backbone network pretrained on ImageNet. At first we randomly take training data from unlabeled data and then labeled that data to train model. After predict unlabeled data by trained model, we adopted a method of adding the data with the highest probability for each class to the training data by a predetermined size. Futhermore, we also conducted some experiments to investigate the influence of the number of initially labeled data. As a result of the experiment, model reaches 92% accuracy which has a performance difference of around 5% compared to supervised learning. This is expected to improve the performance of the classifier by using relatively few labels without additional labeling processes through the proposed method.

Diagnostic Device Model for Insecticide susceptibilities of Beet Armyworm, Spodoptera exigua(Hubner) (파밤나방(Spodoptera exigua (Hiibner)) 살충제 감수성 진단장치모형)

  • Simple diagnostic kits for monitoring insecticide susceptibility of beet armyworm, Spodoptera exigua (Hiibner) were developed and applied to the field populations. The operation of the kits was based on the correlations between enzyme activities of esterase (EST) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and the insecticide susceptibilities. Four different kinds of diagnostic kits (ED, EM, AD, and AM) were designed and classified by diagnostic enzymes (E for esterases and A for acetylcholinesterase) and inhibitors (D for dichlorvos and M for monocrotophos). Diagnostic inhibitor concentrations were 1 mM for ED, 10 mM for EM, 100 mM for AD, and 100 mM for AM. Resistant larvae which were not inhibited by the diagnostic amounts of insecticides developed positive staining (red color), but susceptible~ s howed negative (no color). An insect was used for both EST and AChE diagnostic kits, but different in their samples: hemolymph for EST and the head for AChE. These four diagnostic kits were applied to 1 1 different populations which showed variations of insecticide susceptibilities. Four kits were different in the capability discriminating the insecticide susceptibilites according to insecticides: ED to bifenthrin, AD to methomyl, and ED and AM to chlorpyrifos-methyl. These diagnostic devices can be used for insecticide-resistance management program for this insect pest. It also provide a technical guide to insect pest management for farmers, directors, and researchers.

  • Recently, with the widespread use of the Internet and mobile devices, the number of attacks by hackers using the network is increasing. When connecting a network, packets are exchanged and communicated, which includes various information. We analyze the information of these packets using hierarchical clustering analysis and classify normal and abnormal packets to detect attacks. With this analysis method, it will be possible to detect attacks by analyzing new packets.

  • 축산폐수는 축사가 대부분 상수원보다 상류지역에 산재하고 있어 이를 효과적으로 관리하기 어려우나, 연속 회분식 반응기(Sequencing Batch Reactor, SBR)는 장치가 간단하고 경제성이 우수하여 축산폐수처리에서 효율적으로 적용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 DO(Dissolved Oxygen)과 ORP(Oxidation-Reduction Potential)을 이용하여 지식기반 고장진단 시스템을 제안하였다. 실시간으로 얻어진 ORP, DO값들을 전처리하여, [ORP], [DO]외에 [ORP DO]합성data와 ORP, DO의 특징백터의 합에서 얻어진 fusion data의 총 4개의 data set을 이용하여 각각에 대한 진단과 분류성능을 검토하였다. 이 값을 이용하여 FCM (fuzzy C-mean) 클러스터링 한 후, K-PCA과 LDA로 차원축소시켜 특징백터를 추출하였다. 그리고 Hamming distance로 test data와 특징백터의 거리를 계산하여 각 class를 F1에서 F8까지 분류하였다. 그 결과 데이터를 그대로 이용하는 것 보다 차분데이터형태로 이용하는 것이 우수했으며 그 중 fusion 데이터의 결과가 다른 것들보다 향상된 결과를 보였다. 그리고 K-PCA와 LDA를 결합한 결과가 다른 방법에 비해 우수한 결과를 보였으며 fusion method를 이용한 최고인식율은 98.02%를 나타내었다.
