Considerable efforts has been recently devoted to the determination of accurate channel models for the Power Line environment, both for the indoor and outdoor cases. The common denominator and limitation of the known and previously published models is the particular type of approach followed. In this paper is concerned with a power line channel modeling for the more fast and efficiently power line communication experiment. A capacitor load channel simulator is a essential equipment in the power line modem development for indoor network. We accomplished a channel modelling by the frequency response method about the total 224 capacitor load cases. On the basis of this measurement modeling it is here revealed that the PLC is a more deterministic media that commonly believed.

The main objective of this study is two-fold: 1) to analyze the effect of PG technology application on road user's satisfaction and driving speed, and 2) to investigate the relationship between driver's subjective workload level and their reactions related to the PG technology application. Based on the result of field observation, the experimental scenario for driving simulation study was prepared. The experimental results showed that drivers were more satisfied to the road condition with PG technology applied, and even the pattern of speed reduction was more stable than control condition. The pattern of speed reduction along driver's subjective driving workload level were slightly different by physical road condition, and road user's satisfaction was revealed to be negatively correlated with their subjective driving workload level. This result indicates that depending on situation and driver characteristic, information for the drivers could be nothing more than nuisance that just distracts drivers. In order to facilitate the implementation of PG technology in Korea, further study on related human factors, especially for those who are weak in traffic situations, is recommended.
Considerable evaluation is needed to design a new longitudinal tunnel in advance because it damaged drivers' driving safety and heightened the possibility of traffic accidents with its physical characteristics. Specifically, considering traffic psychological and ergonomic factors was very important to prevent the difficulty of maintaining safe speed, the increase of the drowsy driving, the fatality of traffic accidents, and subjective feelings such as anxiety while driving a car through the tunnel, from design to construction. This study dealt with driving safety evaluation of an original road alignment design for the longitudinal tunnel (length: above 10km) with a driving simulator, and helped us to improve an original road alignment design and make an alternative road alignment design with presenting risky districts. The results of experiment showed that inflection points were revealed more risky districts, because they impaired driving safety and elevated driver workload while driving a car through around the inflection points of two-way route. Finally, the limitations and implications of this study were discussed.
Vehicles have recently become one of the main factors affecting our quality of life, and the needs of vehicles are still increasing. As a result, the growth of vehicles generate more crashes every year. One main factor for vehicle crashes is uncareful driving behaviors. Especially, drowsy or fatigue driving behaviors explain about 10-20% of the crashes, and they cause serious results because of the delay of response time and the decrease of object-recognition. Therefore, this research conducted real time image processing tests in order to study how cellular phone usages and drowy(or fatigue) drives affect driving behaviors. A vehicle simulator was used for this research, and the faceLAB 4.5 of Seeing Machines for eye image tracking tests using a small camera was installed in the front of the simulator, and normal and drowsy(or fatigue) driving patterns were analyzed.
전력산업에 당초 도입 예정되었던 도매경쟁시장을 운영지원하기 위하여 전력거래소는 지난 2002년 도매경쟁 전력시장 운영시스템(Two Way Bidding Pool Market Operation System; TWBP MOS, 이하 전력시장운영시스템)을 구축하였다.

A power management system (PMS) has been an important part in a ship integrated control system. To evaluate a PMS for a liquefied natural gas carrier (LNGC), this research proposes a real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS), which is composed of major component models such as turbine generator, diesel generator, governor, circuit breaker, and 3-phase loads on MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, FPGA based control console and main switchboard (MSBD) are constructed in order to develop an efficient control and a similar real environment in an LNGC PMS. A comparative study on the performance evaluation of PMS functions is conducted using two test cases for sharing electric power to consumers in an LNGC. The result shows that the proposed system has a high verification capability for the operating function and failure insertion evaluation as a PMS simulator.

Thisstudy presentsthe development of a fast-time airport surface simulator. The simulator usesthe output from a first-come first-served (FCFS) scheduler and has adopted one-dimensional dynamic model to simulate the movement of the aircraft on the surface. Higher collision risks situations in the airport surface traffic are analyzed to classify those situations into six cases. A conflict detection and resolution algorithm is implemented to maintain separation distance and to prevent deadlock. The simulator was tested with a scenario at the Incheon International Airport that contains 72 aircraft. Without the conflict detection and resolution, various conflict situations are identified. When the conflict detection and resolution algorithm is managing the traffic, it is confirmed that the conflicts are removed at the price of additional delays. In the conflict resolution algorithm, three prioritization strategies are implemented, and delayed aircraft count and average additional delays are compared. Prioritization based on remaining time or distance showed smaller total additional delay compared to choosing minimum delay priority for each situation.
Aid-to-Navigation facility is important for maritime traffic safety. In Korea, for safe maritime traffic, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries is using an Aid-to-Navigation management system. The current Aid-to-Navigation management system displays information based on text, making it difficult to determine the impact if Aid-to-Navigation fails or an accident occurs. A simulator can be used to verify the placement of Aid-to-Navigation. However, real-time information is not applied and maintenance of the simulator is expensive. Additionally, the Aid-to-Navigation simulator cannot simulate effects of port backlighting. To improve these issues, we proposed an Aid-to-Navigation management platform based on digital twin technology. This system can predict failures by analyzing real-time sensor data collected from navigation signs. We plan to develop a function that can simulate Aid-to-Navigation placement. Aid-to-Navigation is expected to be managed efficiently by applying digital twin technology.

New equipment that is useful for driving is developing every day. Navigation is one of the most popular equipment among them. Telematics market including navigation is getting bigger and bigger. However, traffic accident from using telematics equipment is also increasing. Drivers may lose glance using navigation, and driver's workload will also grow by driver's distraction. This thesis is base on the study about the influence on the drivers' workload by using the telematics equipment. Previous study of drivers' workload used psychological method and behavior test method, but it was less connection with telematics equipment. The main object of this thesis is measuring the workload according to the telematics usage by HMI (Human Machine Interface) in the virtual reality. Therefore, we developed GPS simulator, and made an experiment of whether using the navigation or not on the highway and an experiment of the location of navigation in downtown. The result of these experiments is that workload when driver used navigation was higher than when driver didn't use navigation. In addition, workload was different according to the location, and HUD (Head-Up Display) was especially higher than other locations but also its information delivery ability was the best.
The study aims at analyzing an underground station refuge model using EXODUS, one of the refuge simulation programs. The model for simulation is the Daegu Subway (Joongang-ro station). The details of the accident are referred to as the simulation condition the refuge time of traveling from the $3^{rd}$ basement platform to the $1^{st}$ basement is mainly calculated, with passengers numbering 1,000 including 329 at car 1079, 320 at car 1080, and 360 who are not on board. Reference data is used to set up the position of passengers. CFAST fire simulator is also used, and a fast curve among the $t^2$ growth curves, selected as fire growth scenario. The zone is divided into a total of 24 including 18 at the $3^{rd}$ basement platform and 6 at the $2^{nd}$ basement the $1^{st}$ basement is excluded in the fire simulation, however.
