A Study on the Characteristic Analysis of the Load-sensitive Hydraulic Pump Control System (부하 감응형 유압 펌프 제어 시스템의 특성 해석에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the static and the dynamic characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic pump control systems of a hydraulic excavator were analyzed using the developed analysis tool. The results were compared with the experimental ones. To improve the static performance of the system, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the pump pressure variation were studied. The parameters enhancing dynamic characteristics were also considered.

  • In this study, the characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic control system for closed center type of a wheel loader were analyzed using developed analysis program based on Amesim tool. From the parametric analysis, the effects of each factor were revealed. Through the simulation with varying parameters, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the pump pressure and load pressure variations were studied. The results were compared with the experimental ones. The results and discussions of the present paper could aid in the design of a load-sensitive hydraulic control system for closed center type.

  • With the recent development of intelligence and automation technologies for construction machinery, the demand for safety and efficiency of road-cutting operations has continued to increase. In response to this, a double-blade road cutter has been developed that can automatically cut roads. However, a double-blade road cutter has a load difference between the two blades due to the ground and wear conditions of the cutting blades. The difference in load between the two blades distorts the direction of travel of the cutter. In this study, a vision sensor-based driving guide technology was developed to correct the driving path of road cutters. In addition, we developed a load-sensing technology that detects blade loads in real-time and controls driving speed in the event of overload.

  • In this study, the analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic pump control system used in the hydraulic excavator was performed by hydraulic circuit ananlysis program. Thess results was verified by the experimental data of the hydraulic excavtor system. The responses on effective parameters of system at the controllable region and the pressure variation of the pump used in hydraulic excavator system was studied to enhance the static performace of the system. the parameter enhance dynamic sharacteristics was considerd.

Development of an Actuated Traffic Signal Control Strategy to Minimize Dilemma Zone (딜레마 구간 최소화를 위한 감응식 신호제어전략의 개발)

  • Most of the traffic accidents are a rear-end collision and a clash generated in the signalized intersection on the local roads. So, it is demanded that the high-quality of signal control and dilemma zone control. According to the cases generated by foreign countries, we established the strategies which are composed of Volume-Density Control, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector (microwave detector) In Japan and EC-DC Control. MOEs(Measure of effectiveness) are car numbers in the dilemma zone , max-out probability in the safe side and the average stopping delay in the progress side. We choose a signalized intersection in rural highway to analyze the effect of the strategies and practiced an on-the-spot survey. The result of the survey is applied to the basic data in the simulator. Consequently, strategy of the dilemma zone control using R-detector(microwave detector) in Japan is the best effective in the safe side and EC-DC control is the best in the progress side. Based on the result, we developed the effective strategy of the signal control . This strategy is composed of the strategy of Japan and the detector on the stopping line used in the EC-DC control. On the result of the analysis, new strategy is the best effective in two sides.

Preliminary Study on Actuated Signal Control at Rural Area of Cheon-an City (천안시 외곽지역의 감응식 신호운영을 위한 기초연구)

  • Recently in Korea, in the case of metropolis, the urban signalized intersections are controlled by traffic information center or ITS center. Cheon-an City also established traffic information center through the 1st.-$\sim$3rd. ITS public construction and has managed this center that includes bus information service, traffic information collection and providing service, parking information service, and traffic responsive control system. In the Cheon-an metropolitan traffic signal operation, traffic signal controllers were grouped by the each main traffic flow axes and performed with coordinated signal timing for the signalized arterials, and also cycle and split changed by realtime traffic demands. Cheon-an urban traffic responsive control system was evaluated by intersection delay and speed, then it was verified that the delay decreased and vehicle speed improved. However, the rural signal control system to connect adjacency town was evaluated to have lower status than urban area due to the unimproved TOD (Time of day) plan. Therefore actuated signal control was examined for substitutive control system in isolated signal intersection. The aim of this article is to compare actuated signal control with TOD mode in the rural intersection of Cheon-an and to fine superiority of these two control mode, with evaluation of vehicle delay by using HCM(2000) method and by micro-simulation CORSlM. The result of field test show that actuated signal control gave better performance in delay comparison than the existing TOD signal control. And simulation outcome verified that non-optimized TOD has higher delay than optimized TOD mode, non-optimal actuated mode, and optimal actuated signal control mode. Particularly, these three modes delays had not different values according to the paired sample t-test. This is because small traffic demands were loaded in each links. This suggested actuated signal control is expected to be more effective than TOD mode in some rural isolated intersections which frequently need to survey for traffic volume.

  • This paper aims to develop an integrated urban freeway exit-intersection actuated traffic signal control strategy based on which a real-time detection of queue at each of an exit-ramp and an arterial. To evaluate effects of the proposed actuated traffic signal control according to various traffic situations and geometric conditions, this paper analyzed the effects of the proposed traffic signal control strategy according to traffic situations such as the occasion of the arterial being saturated, the occasion of the exit-ramp being saturated, and the occasion of both the arterial and the exit-ramp being saturated. To reflect geometric conditions that influence the effects of the control strategy, this paper evaluated effects before and after applying the actuated traffic signal control strategy according to six cases for both above and under the downstream link length of 200m as proposed by COSMOS. The study results shown that when the link length above 200m, offered a greater effect of applying the actuated traffic control strategy than below 200m. Thus, the actuated traffic signal control through a real-time detection of queue is expected to offer a greater effect at longer downward link.

  • A load sensing hydraulic system is widely used to military and commercial mobile applications fur its high running efficiency. Although concept and general control schemes are well known, the poor maneuverability of simultaneous multioperation of actuators still remains to be solved. In this paper, a new control algorithm is proposed to prevent the saturation of the system in such operating conditions, in which the total required flowrate of actuators may exceed the pump supply flowrate. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through experiments.

  • 전세계가 고유가 시대로 들어서면서 각국은 에너지 확보에 전력을 기울이고 있다. 이에 대체 에너지 개발이 미래의 중요한 과제로 여겨지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 대안으로 주목받고 있는 염료감응형 태양전지를 다루어 보았다. 유효면적 $8cm^2$의 염료감응형 태양전지의 직병렬 조합을 이용하여 DSSC 모듈을 만들어 얻은 출력을 전력변환 시킴으로써 상용전원을 얻고자 하였다. 염료감응형 태양전지모듈을 만들기 위해 먼저 DSSC의 단위 셀을 최적화 시키고 이를 실제 광원에서 다양한 직병렬 연결 시도 끝에 모듈로부터 약 5.7V, 3A의 출력을 얻을 수 있었다. 이를 Boost converter를 이용하여 전압을 12V까지 승압하고 이 출력을 고속 스위칭 소자인 MOSFET을 이용하여 스위칭한 Push-pull converter에서 DC 310V까지 승압시켰다. 그리고 그 출력을 DSP를 이용한 20[kHz]의 PWM신호를 만들어 제어한 결과, AC 220V의 상용전원을 얻었다. 그리고 이 전원을 부하에 연결하여 그 동작 특성을 연구하였다.
