An Analysis of Syntactic and Semantic Relations between Negative Polarity Items and Negatives in Korean. (결합범주문법을 이용한 한국어 부정극어와 부정어의 통사 및 의미적 관계 분석)

  • Negative polarity items(NPIs), which function as quantifiers are licensed in a syntactically strict way by negatives, which function as qualifiers, resulting in universal negating interpretations as pairs. We present a proposal to explain the related phenomena, in which the syntax and the semantics are closely related to each other, with Combinatory Categorial Grammar. For this purpose, we first adopt the usual approach to scrambling, but control its overgeneration with the use of markers, taking into account the complex syntactic phenomena involving NPIs and scrambling in Korean. We also propose to utilize polarity intensity as a novel feature, in order to account for the universal negating interpretations when NPIs are combined with negatives. Our proposal also explains the difference in readings when other quantifiers or qualifiers intervene the NPI and the related negatives.

  • 정인교는 그의 최근 논문에서 논리적 귀결 관계에 의해 논리 상항의 의미를 정의함에 있어 통상적인 도입 규칙과 제거 규칙에 의거하는 포퍼의 접근법과, 도입 규칙에만 의존하는 정당화주의적 접근법, 그리고 제거 규칙에만 의존하는 실용주의적 접근법을 구분한 바 있다. 이 글에서는 연언과 선언의 연결어의 경우에는 그 세 가지가 동등하다는 것을, 그리고 조건과 부정의 연결어의 경우에는 제거 규칙에 의거하는 실용주의적 접근법과 포퍼의 접근법이 대등하다는 것을, 타르스키가 처음 확립한 논리적 귀결에 관한 공리적 체계에 의존하여 보일 것이다.

  • 국어에서 wh-단어가 포함된 의문사 의문문과 부정사 의문문은 통사적으로 같은 구조를 가지지만 의미적으로는 중의 관계에 있다. 그러나 두 의문문은 문장으로 발화될 때 음성적으로 서로 다른 여러 가지 운율 특징의 차이를 보여줌으로써, 발화 차원에서는 더 이상 중의 관계를 유지하지 않는다. 본고에서는 이러한 중의성의 해소는 두 의문문의 초점이 달리 실현되기 때문이라고 본다. 기존의 연구에서는 두 가지 의문문의 억양 연구를 초점의 작용 범위와 문말 억양의 차이, 강세구 형성의 유형을 중심으로 고찰하였다 .그리고 의문사와 부정사의 의미는, 이에 후행하는 서술어와 형성하는 강세구 유형에서 우선적으로 그 의미가 구분될 수 있다고 보았다. 그러나, 본고에서는 국어의 wh-단어가 초점으로서 작용하는 운율적 돋들림을 좀더 다양한 환경에서 실험하였다. 그리고 의문사${\cdot}$부정사와 후행하는 언어단위의 강세구 형성(accentual phrasing) 유형, 의문사${\cdot}$부정사 의문문 전체 문장 억양의 실현 양상, wh-단어 자체의 음의 높낮이(pitch contour) 실현 유형, 문말 억양(boundary tone)에서 음의 높낮이를 대상으로 분석하였다.

  • The purpose of the study is to verify the effectiveness the Freshman Preliminary Health Administrators(FPHA)' Empathic Problem Solving Ability(EPSA) through the application of Medical Service Design Thinking(MSDT) conducted by undergraduate school of SNS hospital marketing education. The pre-post questionnaire survey was conducted on 39 students in the freshman year of the Department of Health Administration after applying MSDT for 15 weeks from September to December, 2019 at a college in Daegu. MSDT was positive influenced on the improvement of Empathic Imagine, Empathic interest, Empathic awakening of the FPHA' EPSA. In the analysis of key common words, the use of neutral and negative words was low, while the use of positive words was high. In order to systematically equip Empathic problem solving job competency in the age of artificial intelligence, it is meaningful to develop a program for the freshmen curriculum and to conduct a analysis of the structured and unstructured data to verify its effectiveness. Additional program development research is needed for the application of theoretical subjects.

  • 캐쉬 대체 알고리즘은 캐쉬 적재공간의 한계성을 극복하는 방법 중에 하나이다. 기존의 많은 대체 알고리즘의 문제점인 대체 기준치의 부정확성 및 불충분성을 해결하기 위해 인기도를 제안하였다. 인기도는 인기 검색어의 순위를 정규화 한 값으로, 대량의 자료를 바탕으로 얻어진 통계치이다. 인기도 산출의 기반이 되는 인기 검색어는 시간적 흐름에 민감하고, 사회 전반적인 경향을 반영하며, 많은 중복을 가지고 있다. 인기도는 각 검색 엔진별로 단일 인기도와 누적 인기도를 산출한 후에, 이를 모두 병합하여 산출된다. 이것을 병합 인기도라고 하며, 이는 임의의 검색어에 0에서 1사이의 소수값으로 부여된다. 인기도는 메타 검색 엔진에서 캐쉬 대체를 수행할 때 적용될 수 있으며, 다수의 자료 입력 경향에 관한 정보가 존재하는 문제 영역에 사용될 수 있다.

The Development of Processing Negation and Opposites Acquisition from 3 to 6 Year-old Children ($3{\sim}6$세 아동의 대립어 습득 및 부정어 처리 발달)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate opposites acquisition and tendency of processing negations about directional oppositionality from 3- to 6-old Korean children. The data were collected from 80 children from a daycare center and 20 university students in Busan, Korea. In Experiment 1, participants were asked to produce opposites for common terms related to colors, directions, and dimension adjectives. In Experiment 2, they were asked to make pictures corresponding to statements with negations(e. g. The arrow is NOT pointing up.). Summarizing the overall results, first, children over 5 considered 'blue' and 'red' as opposites colors in the case of not well-known color opposites. If there exists an opposite color, color opposites have been acquired from 6 year-olds, the directional opposites started from 3 year-olds, and the opposites of dimension adjectives did from 5 year-olds. Second, preferring the antipodal color opposites started from 6 and preferring the antipodal direction did from 3. Consequently, 3-to 6 year-old children acquired opposites at different age and opposites dimension. Also the opposites dimension have an effect on processing negation of young children.

Towards Next Generation Multimedia Information Retrieval by Analyzing User-centered Image Access and Use (이용자 중심의 이미지 접근과 이용 분석을 통한 차세대 멀티미디어 검색 패러다임 요소에 관한 연구)

  • As information users seek multimedia with a wide variety of information needs, information environments for multimedia have been developed drastically. More specifically, as seeking multimedia with emotional access points has been popular, the needs for indexing in terms of abstract concepts including emotions have grown. This study aims to analyze the index terms extracted from Getty Image Bank. Five basic emotion terms, which are sadness, love, horror, happiness, anger, were used when collected the indexing terms. A total 22,675 index terms were used for this study. The data are three sets; entire emotion, positive emotion, and negative emotion. For these three data sets, co-word occurrence matrices were created and visualized in weighted network with PNNC clusters. The entire emotion network demonstrates three clusters and 20 sub-clusters. On the other hand, positive emotion network and negative emotion network show 10 clusters, respectively. The results point out three elements for next generation of multimedia retrieval: (1) the analysis on index terms for emotions shown in people on image, (2) the relationship between connotative term and denotative term and possibility for inferring connotative terms from denotative terms using the relationship, and (3) the significance of thesaurus on connotative term in order to expand related terms or synonyms for better access points.

Identifying Factors Affecting Helpfulness of Online Reviews: The Moderating Role of Product Price (제품 가격에 따른 온라인 리뷰 유익성 결정 요인에 관한 연구)

  • For the success of an online retail market, it is important to allow consumers to get more helpful reviews by figuring out the factors determining the helpfulness of online reviews. On the basis of elaboration likelihood model, this study analyzes which factors determine the helpfulness of reviews and how the factors affecting the helpfulness of an online consumer review differ for product price. For this study, 75,226 online consumer reviews were collected from Amazon.com. Furthermore, additional information on review messages was also gathered by carrying out a content analysis on the review messages. This study shows that both of peripheral cues such as review rating and reviewer's credibility and central cues such as word count of review message and the proportion of negative words influence the helpfulness of review. In addition, the result of this study reveals that each consumer focuses on different information sources of reviews depending on the product price.

  • This research has analyzed the influence of information search on festival image, emotional response, re-visit intention and intention to share information. Image of festival was assumed to be composed of three components of cognitive, affective and unique image. Emotional response was divided into positive and negative emotion. As the results of influence analysis, word of mouth-effect and online media such as SNS had a significant effect on unique image of the festival. whereas official homepage showed a significant impact on cognitive image. Among three factors of image, affective image had a great influence on positive emotion. as three image factors are associated with positive emotion. Also, Affective emotion was analyzed to have significant influence on re-visit intention and intention to share information.

Methods to Propel Tourism of Yeosu City Using Big Data (빅데이터를 활용한 여수관광 활성화 방안)

  • The fourth industrial revolution introduced at world economic forum in 2016 has had huge effects on tourism industries as well as the change of core technologies in ICT such as big data, IoT, etc, This paper proposes the methods to propel tourism of Yoesu city through big data analysis and questionnaires. Sensitive words and positive-negative trend are extracted by Social Metrics and the keywords for Yeosu tour trends are extracted and analyzed by Naver datalab, and the results are visualized by R language. And frequency, difference, factor, covariance and regression analysis in SPSS are executed for the questionnaires for 493 visitors who traveled in Yeosu city. Sentiment analysis for Yeosu tour and maritime cable car shows that positive effect is much more than negative one. The analyses for questionnaires in SPSS show that Yeosu area is statistically significant to tour satisfaction index and tour revitalization for Yeosu, and favorite sightseeing places and searching electronic devices for age groups are different. The sightseeing places such as a maritime park with soft contents that give joyfulness and healing to tourists are highly attracted in both the big data and questionnaires analysis.
