In this study, electro-deposition method was applied to heal cracks in various blended concrete. The performance of the method was indirectly monitored by measuring impressed voltage, electrolyte, galvanic current monitoring, linear polarization resistance, and directly by image analysis of the cracks. The indirect and direct monitoring values are compared to develop guidelines for relating the indirect measures to actual crack healing. As a result, It was found that impressed voltage was convergence to 2.9V after 20000 minutes. From the galvanic current test results of artificial crack healing, the corrosion resistance showed that the order of 0.4 $>$ 0.6 $>$ 0.5 water to cement ratio. Furthermore, in view of binder, the corrosion resistance order was calculated OPC $>$ 60%GGBS $>$ 10%SF $>$ 30%PFA. Finally, It was found that 76.47% of healed crack surface calculated from the artificial crack healing technique using electrochemical deposition method.

The analysis of ocean environment offers us essential information for ocean exploration. But ocean environment has a lot of environmental variables such as the movements of nodes by an ocean current, corrosion by salt water, attenuation of radio wave, occurrences of multi-path and difficulty of sensor nodes' deployment. It is accordingly difficult and complex to gather and process the environmental information through ocean data communication due to these constraints of ocean environment unlike the terrestrial wireless networks. To overcome these problems, we organized ocean communication network for monitoring underwater environment by real experiment in Gyeongpoho similar to ocean environment. Therefore, this paper aims at overcoming major obstacles in ocean environment, effectively deploying sensor nodes for ocean environment monitoring and defining an efficient structure suitable for communication environment by the implementation of ocean environment monitoring system in Gyeongpoho.
Steel structure construction is currently increasing on account of the many merits of steel structures. Due to numerous environmental factors, many cracks and extensive corrosion occur in steel structures, which cause the deterioration of the performance and life cycle of such structures. Maintenance of steel structures is thus strongly demanded, for safety control. The inspection methods that are currently being used, however, are very limited and can detect only local defects in steel structures. They also take much time to use and incur high maintenance costs. Moreover, such methods cannot be applied to huge steel structures, which men find unapproachable. They also require much time due to the need for periodic checks, and may lead to cost loss. Therefore, the development of a monitoring system that can detect defects in whole structures and can reduce the repair and strengthening costs at an early stage is very much needed. In this study, the generation and propagation of cracks were monitored via the electric-potential-drop method (EPDM).

Leakage of waterworks pipe line net cause loss of water resources, additional foundation of pressurization facilities from pressure loss and soil weakening near leaked pipe line, etc.. This makes it difficult to maintain and manage waterworks pipe line net and so cause serious economic loss. The rate of accounted water can be improved by monitoring always water pressure and flux, and so on. from isolated region, preparing positively against leakage accident and preventing leakage from occurring. Actually after isolating region, average rate of accounted water in this region went up 88.94% by continuously monitoring control of water pressure and inflow rate. It is about 9.44% higher than that of Busan metropolitan city in 2003, 79.5%.

Reinforcement corrosion is major problem for those who own and maintain reinforced concrete structures exposed to chlorides. It is well understood that the form of corrosion is more problematic than corrosion found elsewhere, Because concrete has no apparent signs that there is anything amiss until the process of deterioration is relatively far advanced. The objective of this research is to develop the ladder system which monitors the corrosion of reinforcing steels in concrete. This system can be used to assess the corrosion condition and corrosion rate of steel in concrete, which can give timely repair and strengthening of steel in concrete structure.

The corrosion monitoring methods of reinforcing steel in concrete are the various methods such as half cell potential method, galvanic current method, resistivity method, polarization resistance method, AC impedance method and etc. In this study, the corrosion monitoring methods of reinforcing steel in concrete were investigated for the test specimens using corrosion inhibitors, zinc-mortar, zinc-plate, respectively. For this purpose, the accelerated corrosion tests for reinforcing steel were conducted according to the periodic cycles(140 days) of wetting($65^{\circ}C$, 90% R.H.) and drying period(15$^{\circ}C$ , 65% R.H.) for the test specimens. As a result, it can be concluded from the test that half cell potential and galvanic current method as monitoring techniques for corrosion were found to be relatively reliable and easily usable method in the field.

By introducing corrosion monitoring techniques, steel corrosion in concrete may be evaluated at early stage. The monitoring probes in concrete detect the causes (chlorides and $CO_2$) of steel corrosion by being cast into the concrete or diffusing in from the outside. Various systems for corrosion monitoring in concrete are reviewed in this paper. These techniques are classified according to monitoring purposes such as corrosion potential or corrosion rate of steel and causes for corrosion etc.. Today, special interests are converged in development of corrosion sensor as a monitoring method of new concept.
This study represents the result of corrosion monitoring on reinforced concrete specimens by means of multi-functional corrosion monitoring sensors. To confirm the effectiveness of the sensors, eight different kinds of condition were adopted. Test factors were corrosion potential, current, corrosion rate, resistivity, and temperature, which were monitored with the sensors. Through this study, judging corrosion of steel in concrete with single corrosion factor such as corrosion potential was difficult, because many other factors can have an influence on the reaction of corrosion. By using three different kinds of sensors, it could enhance the accuracy of corrosion monitoring.
