  • The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between parents' adult attachment, resilience, and psychological well-being, as it is inferred that infants and toddlers attending daycare centers will be directly or indirectly affected by their parents' adult attachment type. For this study, a total of 247 copies of the SPSS 12.0 statistical program were used for analysis, except for 43 copies where data were omitted after a questionnaire was conducted on 300 parents (150 parents and 150 mothers) of daycare centers located in Gyeonggi Province. Looking at the results of this study, first, it was confirmed that the general characteristics of parental adult attachment, self-recovery elasticity, and psychological well-being stimulate normality statistically. Second, the relationship between adult attachment and self-recovery elasticity was verified as a negative relationship, and it was confirmed that it had a significant effect. Third, it was confirmed that the relationship between adult attachment and psychological well-being was verified as a negative relationship and had a significant effect. As a follow-up study, we propose a phenomenological study of the mediating effect of psychological well-being on the influence of parents' adult attachment on self-recovery elasticity, parental attachment, resilience, and psychological well-being with infants and toddlers.

  • This study examines the effect of parental attachment on children's life satisfaction based on the relationship between parent attachment, life satisfaction, and ego resilience for children (5th grade elementary school). The purpose is to find out if it mediates the relationship. For this reason, data from the 12th year (2019) of the Korean Children's Panel of the Research Institute for Parenting Policy were used. In the 12th year data, most of the panel children who participated so far went on to the 5th grade of elementary school and became the upper grade of elementary school, so the variables were modified and expanded to reflect the developmental characteristics of the panel children. Data from 1,171 people who responded to all of parental attachment, ego resilience, and life satisfaction among the 1,600 currently maintained sample of 2,150 households in the Korean Children's Panel were analyzed. As a result of this study, first, parental attachment was found to have a positive effect on children's life satisfaction. Second, parental attachment was found to have a positive effect on ego resilience. Third, it was found that ego resilience mediates the relationship between parental attachment and children's life satisfaction. Therefore, this study intends to examine the relationship between parental attachment and life satisfaction in detail through ego resilience. Through this, it is intended to prepare an in-depth academic understanding and action plan for changes in children's life satisfaction.

Second, as the results of multiple regression analysis, the predictors of physical caregiving consciousness were age, residential area, family income, hope to support homeland parents, and contact with homeland family. But the predictors of economic caregiving consciousness were age, residential area, home country, difference in spouse's age, family income, hope to support homeland parents, and contact with homeland family. Finally, the predictors of emotional caregiving consciousness were residential area, family income, and hope to support homeland parents. The variable of hope to support homeland parents revealed the most influential variable affecting commonly all of the three types of caregiving consciousness.

  • Objective : In this study, we aimed to investigate the effectiveness of family-centered intervention conducted with caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in South Korea through a systematic literature review. Methods : Previous studies published from 2011 to 2021 were searched through RISS, KISS, and DBpia. The search terms applied included "autism spectrum" OR "general developmental disorder" OR "high-functioning autism" OR "Asperger's" AND "parent education" OR "family-centered intervention" OR "parent coaching" OR "parent training" OR "family participation." A total of 11 experimental studies were chosen based on the selection criteria. Results : According to the findings on the general characteristics of the study participants, intervention strategies, and effects of the intervention, it was observed that the majority of children with ASD who participated in the study were preschool-aged, and the majority of participating caregivers were mothers. The effects of family-centered interventions were evident in both children and parents. In children, the most significant effects were observed in interaction and communication skills. In parents, a reduction in parenting stress and an improvement in parenting efficacy were observed. The intervention strategies employed in the study varied, with sensory integration intervention, responsive communication, and interaction-centered intervention being the most commonly used, followed by developmental-centered intervention, positive behavior support (PBS), and parent-mediated intervention based on pivotal response treatment (PRT). Conclusion : The results of this study are significant in that they confirm that family-centered intervention is effective not only in improving the functioning of children with autism spectrum disorder, but also in reducing parenting stress and enhancing parenting efficacy, and provide evidence for clinical use.

  • The purpose of this study was to describe the scales of attitudes toward science and the validation of instruments for students and their parents. These instruments include three scales: cognition about value of science, affection toward science & science learning, and conative participation in scientific activities. A sample of middle school students (N=198) and their parents (N=153) was selected. Data analysis indicated that the instruments developed in this study had proper validity and reliability measures (${\alpha}=0.93$ for student questionnaire, ${\alpha}=0.88$ for parent questionnaire). The results reveal that both students and parents were well aware of the academic/vocational and social value of science, but they had low awareness of the individual value. In spite of that, students have positive feelings regarding enjoyment toward science and science learning, their self-concept and self-efficacy were low. And parents' responses were observed to support their kids in general field but not in science. Especially, female students had low participation in scientific activities and also their parents had low support for scientific activities (p<.0.1). Finally, there were positive correlations between students' attitudes toward science and their parents' affection toward science & science learning and conative participation in science activities.

  • This study tries to figure out the precarious communication types between parents and their children. For this, the linguistic behavioral characteristics of the main characters in the movie "Daughter" were extracted from their dialogues with the matrix analysis and were conceptualized. These conceptual features were analyzed in the convergence way combined with Transactional analysis and Satir's communication theory. The result shows that the dysfunctional communication between parents and children deteriorates their relation and even could collapse it. Thus. for their whole relation, it is important that they keep the functional communication between them. The study suggested the need for the parental education and youth personality education which let them know how to facilitate their communication.
