  • 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경에서, 객체들 간의 통신은 매우 중요하다. 이 과정은 더 많은 정보의 전달을 위해 온라인 네트워크 상에서 수행되는 것이 일반적이다. 반면, 오프라인 네트워크 상에서의 데이터 통신의 경우 객체들 사이에 극히 적은 양의 정보 전송만이 가능한 것이 현실이다. 현재로서는 기존에 제시되었던 태그 인터페이스들을 활용하는 것이 비록 극소량이라 하더라도 오프라인 네트워크 상에서 객체들 사이에 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 거의 유일한 방법이다. 기존의 태그 인터페이스들 중 2 차원 이미지 코드로서 QR 코드는 태그 심벌 자체에 삽입하는 형태로 직관적 시각 정보를 부가적으로 포함할 수 있다. 그러나 물리적 공간의 제약과 오류 복원 능력의 한계로 인해 태그 내부에 부가적 시각 정보를 삽입하는 경우 그 표현은 극히 제한적이다. 모션코드는 오프라인 네트워크 상에서 객체들 사이에 더 많은 정보를 전달하기 위해 더 많은 데이터를 포함할 수 있도록 제안된 새로운 동적 태그 인터페이스이다. 본 논문에서는 모션코드에 모션코드 자체의 왜곡 없이 다양한 형태의 부가적 시각 정보를 포함할 수 있는 방법과 조건을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, additional data transmission scheme was proposed based on SSB-OFDM Communication system which was know as efficient technique for bandwidth, because it used only single side band instead of double side band. When sending additional data which should be well spreaded for low power characteristics and error robustness. Gold code was selected for spreading code because it has excellent low-cross correlation characteristics. Through computer simulation, the validity was proved that proposed system is well worked with SSB-OFDM system.

  • Because the movie has the characteristics of a cultural product where experience is important, a promotional strategy is used to convert viewers into movie audiences by providing indirect experiences of movies through professional movie information programs. Considering that the movie information program is a strategic publicity medium that raises the audience's intention to watch a movie, a study on the data service that provides useful additional information to the viewer in conjunction with the movie information program is meaningful. Against this background, this study contains the core research contents in the development of data service linked with movie information program. Specifically, additional information of the movie information program was defined. And to provide the additional information to the data service, the digital broadcasting international standard DVB-SI-based additional information transmission method was devised.

A New Selected Mapping Scheme without Side Information Using Cross-Correlation (상호 상관을 이용한 부가정보가 필요 없는 Selected Mapping 수신방법 제안)

  • Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems have many advantages. However, OFDM systems are much affected by a nonlinear distortion because those systems have a high peak to average power ratio(PAPR) value. A selected mapping technology was suggested to reduce a PAPR value. The technology does not have data loss but receivers need side information to know modified phase sequence. Therefore, side information causes decreased a transmission efficiency. In this paper, we suggest a blind SLM receiver using a cross correlation technology. This receiver does not require side information. The proposed blind SLM receiver calculates sums of cross-correlation between transmitted pilot signals multiplied by each phase sequence and received pilot signals. So, this receiver detects side information which has a maximum sum cross-correlation value. We compared our proposed SLM receiver to a conventional blind SLM receiver through bit error rate(BER) and side information error rate(SIER) performances. Simulation results show that the proposed SLM receiver has improved BER and SIER performances than the conventional SLM receiver.

Radiotelemetry for ECG and Event Signals Using FDM (주파수분할 다중방식에 의한 심전신호 및 부가정보신호 무선전송)

  • This study is to dvelop a radiotelemetry system to transmit and receive ECG (electrocardiograph) and event signals by using the frequency division multiplexing(FDM) technique. ECG signal sensed by the electrodes is amplified and added to the event signals acting in different frequency range for lead-off, nurse call and low level battery by using FDM. The sub-carrier oscillator using Colpitts circuits and main carrier frequency which is multiplied is frequency modulated by this superhetrodyne technique, and demodulated from the compose IF signal through the quadrature demodulator. A pulse counter demodulator and filtering circuits extract the original ECG and event signals.

Adaptive SLM and Side Information Insertion Method (적응 SLM 방식과 부가정보 삽입기법)

  • OFDM is effective for the high speed data transmission. However, the nonlinear distortion is a serious problem because of the high PAPR due to many subcarriers. The conventional SLM selects the OFDM signal with the lowest PAPR. In this method, OFDM data can be correctly recovered only if the side information about the phase sequence is transmitted to receiver. This paper proposes a new method of side information insertion into the conventional SLM and reduces the computational complexity by adaptive method. Performances are compared in case that three kinds of phase sequences are used for phase rotation factor. The adaptive SLM method has the same PAPR reduction as the conventional SLM method. The required BER can be guaranteed by the proposed method. When subcarrier number N=32, computational complexity is reduced to 48 %, 72 % and 51 % for the branch number U=4, 8 and 16, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose the novel additional data transmission technology for DQPSK-OFDM based T-DMB system using watermarking technique. The proposed algorithms which is possible that it can transmit data in indoor or shadow region and improve transmission efficiency. We certified availability of our proposed technology by using various simulation. The results of the paper can be applied to wireless multimedia digital broadcasting systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 지상파 방송망 구성에 사용되는 TxID 기술을 이용하여 DTV 신호와 상관없이 추가적으로 다수의 데이터를 동시에 전송할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. Wang 등에 의해 제안된 기존의 부가데이터 전송방법은 데이터 확산에 이용되는 수열에 bit 정보를 할당하여 낮은 C/N(carrier to noise ratio)에서도 추가적인 에러정정 기법의 적용 없이 데이터를 복원 할 수 있는 장점이 있으나 전송률이 40 ~ 160 bps로 제한되는 단점이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 본 논문에서는 다수의 부가데이터를 동시전송하여 전송률을 향상시키는 방법 및 원리를 소개한다.

A study on additional information and its transmission method of data service linked to travel program (여행 프로그램 연동형 데이터서비스의 부가정보와 정보 전송 설계 연구)

  • According to a survey by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2018 and 2019, traveling to places recorded in TV programs or influential videos has become an important travel trend and several studies show that watching a travel program improves the intention to visit the places featured on the program. This study designed a travel program-linked data service that provides additional information on the places and events to the viewers of the travel program. Specifically, the additional information of the travel program was defined in a formal manner by dividing it into places and events, and a method of exposure of the additional information conformed to the contents of the program was designed. We also devised an international standard DVB-based data transmission method that provides the additional information to data services appropriately in time for program broadcasting. This study is significant in that it tested new applications of data services for travel programs.
