Regionalization of the Lineage Group in Korea(II): Landscape Phase(16C~17C) (종족집단의 지역화과정에 관한 연구(II): 경관생산단계 - 16~17세기 계보의식의 탄생과 사회관계망의 공간적 확장 -)

  • It was the landscape phase that social relations were extended by production of landscapes during the 16C~17C. Core lineage groups in study area had extended socio-spatial nexus through making of the landscape of ‘authority-ostentation’(권력-과시형 경관) and of ‘kindness-civilization’(시혜ㆍ교화형 경관). Therefore they could gain a result that their power and authority took root in community perfectly. In the case of the Kims of Kwangsan(광산김씨), the first landscape of ‘kindness-civilization’ was Jungheodang(the learning room Jungheo), and next it was built Yangsungdang(the learning room Yangsung), and Imlijung(the pavilion Imli). Through this landscape production, the consciousness of scholastic genealogy was born, and this genealogy consciousness could be deepened and extended in regional scale. One more important feature in this phase is the point that the Kims of Kwangsan in Yeonsan area and the Songs of Unjin(은진송씨) in Hoiduk area could unite socially by the landscape production of ‘kindness-civilization type’ becoming intermediation. And these social union, that is to say, it do connote enlargement of the territoriality. It tells that community of ‘regional’ scale was formed by of core lineage groups of ‘local’ uniting each other.

  • This study is a process of studying an alternative educational model and a preceding analysis process of the study where a teaching method considering the brain function, learning and creative mechanism is applied with a perspective of effectively increasing the animation drawing ability. Recently, studies in each field of study is not simply limited to one major but are attempting to produce subdivided integrated educational contents through integrated study activities with other fields. It is because for any field, it has a complex structure of humanistic experience and this is the same for artistic fields. Especially, in the field of animation, a specialized area is subdivided so when looking only at the education related to the drawing, the items required for expertise should be clarified and the development of a systematic educational method is required. Therefore in this study, a literature study result to design the educational model suitable for professional characteristics of animation education method is proposed. The study aims to conceptualize and categorize the meaning of drawing that can refine the basic ability for education of animation field to suit the characteristics of majoring field. Afterwards, the components are derived through re-established concept of drawing and categories, and this becomes the basis for the process of materializing the study goal which is the follow-up work. As a result, the components are examined by defining the meaning of drawing as the motion drawing due to the characteristics of the picture contents field, and used as a basis for planning the educational model applied with brain scientific creative-learning principles.

Recent Research Trends and Implications of the Social Service Supply System (사회서비스 공급체계의 최근의 연구 동향)

  • Academic research of the social service delivery system is very limited. This paper checked on the status of research on current social service delivery system in order to explore new research and policy directions. Analysis study consisted of 79 pieces and the framework was divided into dimensional analysis, content analysis and analytical standards. Research on the papers of social service delivery systems showed from the initial stage of the policy discussion to the phase of the individual services. Summarizing the study is as follows. First, This studies confirmed that at this time the quality studies on social service delivery system is needed. Second, this indicates that right now, the government budget of social services and the data relating to social service agencies will be opened to the public for the expansion of social services studies. Third, to expand social services delivery systems research, it showed that social services demand forecasting research such as budget allocation, population characteristics, equality of public service and local information is needed. Finally, since the quality of service is reduced by the oversupply, the discussion of the entry regulations of social service providers is required.

From a Literature Review to a Conceptual Framework, Issues and Challenges for Smart Campus (스마트 캠퍼스 문헌고찰을 통한 프레임워크 개발 및 주요 이슈 분석)

  • With the development of information and communication technologies, a new paradigm in higher education is required. Accordingly, establishing a smart campus has emerged as an important issue in universities worldwide. This study aims to discuss key issues and to provide useful academical and practical implications on smart campus by reviewing related literatures. For this purpose, this study examined recent literatures on smart campus by four research perspectives; 1) learning/knowledge-centric approach, 2) technology-centric approach, 3) integrated approach, and 4) user-centric approach, then developed smart campus framework. Smart campus user criteria contained members of university as well as local community and business stockholders. Smart campus framework presented specific service areas each belongs to smart education, smart life and smart administration domains and motivating factors of using smart campus. Moreover, by considering key issues and problems raised in previous studies, this study suggested practical implications for successful development of smart campus.

Development and Management of the STS Course at Hanyang University (한양대학교 STS 전공 과정의 개발과 운영)

  • This paper will analyze the development and management processes of the STS (Science and Technology Studies) course in the Division of Performative Humanities at College of Humanities, Hanyang University. The STS Course is one of the five integrated courses in Performative Humanities which are recommended for Humanities students as second major options. The Performative Humanities courses were established through support from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology between 2005 and 2009. Then, these courses were integrated as the independent "Division of Performative Humanities", whose courses are being taught today. Among these courses, the STS course is a compositive course which is based on STS and links humanities, science and technology. The establishment of the STS course symbolizes a new integrative approach to interdisciplinary education both in terms of its contents and operation processes. This paper will discuss the roadmap of the STS course and how to manage its education system. The advantages and disadvantages of the course's development process and the result of its management procedures will also be analyzed. With the importance of integrated education being recognized, this paper will analyze how the interdisciplinary STS course is incorporated and operated as a major course in the University. This will enable readers to seek ideas for alternative integrated education models that can be applied in Korea's university system.

Improvement Issues of Personal Information Protection Laws through Meta-Analysis (메타분석을 통한 개인정보보호법의 개선과제)

  • As we enter the era of big data, the value of personal information is becoming ever more important. However, personal information protection laws in Korea have several issues. Furthermore, existing research are limited in their ability to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of measures to improve personal information protection laws. Accordingly, this study analyzes improvements to be made in the current personal information protection laws based on existing research. A total of 39 research articles discussing the problems of the personal information protection law were selected and analyzed by applying the meta - analysis technique. According to the results, the various issues such as the meaning and scope of personal information, the role and obligations of relevant parties, provision of personal information to third parties, and redundant and imbalanced regulations in special acts in each field. that exist in the current personal information protection laws were confirmed. This study contributes to the improvement of inconsistency between information protection laws and related special laws in each field in practice. Academically, it will contribute to understanding the problems of th law from the macro perspective and suggesting the integrated improvement ways of the law.

  • The purpose of this study is to lead the post digital generation of professional beautician training purpose is to find an efficient educational method. Beauty Education Facaility survey conducted in the center of reminders and educational statistics (

    note) and, thereby, Seoul, Daejeon, Chungcheong and Gyeonggi and beauty-related high schools and colleges, universities, graduate schools in the study from June 10, 2013 July 31 to one of the online survey after having KSDC, KSDC online statistical analysis is to identify the actual situation by. Through this study, unlike other studies beauty training colleges, graduate schools, universities and high schools were opened in order, the future belongs to the Department of Health Science or Art as areas of growth that was observed. Statistical results ([Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5] note) similar to the previous studies, but the rise in the proportion of male students, majors, the beauty of the segmentation and high school education is not the beginning of the percentage of high school increased so that it was able to find the differences. This study is to be excuse inadequacy of date selection for only certain number of beauty educational facilities, the learner-centered surveyors, and a lack of ditailled educational curriculum and in-depted researched on educational method, which it is to modofied and supplement in future.

    • This study is based on prior research cases on workplace learning, which had a significant impact on corporate research. To improve problem solving and supplementing ability by keeping the opportunity to participate in workplace learning for the weak small business owners and to strengthen opportunities for practical growth, and to propose education, policy and institutional windowing. Therefore, to establish the relationship between small business owners' workplace learning, job satisfaction, and service quality, a research hypothesis was set in the background of prior research and empirical analysis was conducted. The results from 203 questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program. As an analytical result, first, workplace learning had a partial positive (+) impact on job satisfaction. Second, workplace learning had a partial positive (+) impact on service quality. Third, in the relationship between workplace learning and service quality, job satisfaction played a full mediating role. From this, it was found that formal learning, the subfactor of workplace learning did not have an impact on job satisfaction and service quality, as subtitle of educational environment including offsite training and self education, systematization, and structuralization depending on the poor environment of small enterprises. Therefore, it was found that small enterprises' poor environment was revealed from the managerial, economic and social perspectives and to compensate such defect, educational, policy, and institutional strategies to strengthen the opportunity for growth and development of small enterprises can be suggested to the governmental agencies or local governments. Despite the significant results of this study, there may be limitations. Therefore, further studies should be conducted in various fields with various samples in the future, and further studies should be conducted in academic and practical relationships that can improve the service quality and management performance.

    • Female empowerment advertising campaigns are easily observed in the United States and European countries whereas it is rarely found in Korea. Thus, this study is designed to analyze female empowerment advertising campaigns so-called femvertising through a case analysis method. The case analysis is often employed in the field of advertising and other social sciences, especially is helpful in finding current trends. Study results found that themes of global femvertising campaigns could be categorized into 'redefining women's beauty', 'gender equality', 'education', and 'leadership'. The objective of these femvertising campaigns is to change perspectives of the society on women and change men's perspective. In terms of product category by global femvertising campaign companies, it varies from consumer goods, IT & electronics, automotive, finance, toy, non-profit organization to press. In general, femvertising targets women, but some femvertising campaigns also target men. This study also provides implications in regards with media usage strategy and advertising planning strategy.

    Two Approaches to Public Understanding of Science: How Survey Analyses and Constructivist PUS Might Benefit Each Other (공중의 과학이해 연구의 두 흐름 - 조사연구와 구성주의 PUS의 상보적 발전을 향하여)

    • Without much communication, large-scale surveys of public knowledge of, and attitudes to, science (quantitative PUS) and case-study analyses of the public's understandings of science in particular (constructivist PUS) have dominated in the public understanding of science (PUS) area. Not only methodological preference but also a strong antipathy against value-orientations that each approach presumed to have and support has been barriers for quantitative PUS and constructivist PUS to benefit each other. In order to overcome such barriers, this paper demonstrates that value orientations guiding quantitative PUS have been much more diverse than what constructivist PUS researchers might think, and that quantitative PUS has indeed yielded the results consistent with and complementary to constructivist PUS. Finally this paper proposes that (1)quantitative PUS should test propositions provided by constructivist PUS, so that it can contribute much to the construction of more generalizable PUS theories and policies, and (2)constructivist PUS uses the outcome of quantitative PUS to develop more complex case studies which consider heterogeneous publics, trends of public evaluations of science, and how public attitudes to science in the abstract and public attitudes to science in particular in a specific context have effect on each other.
