The study on efficient transport system in Circle Yellow-Sea region using rail & sea multi transport system (철도-해운 복합운송 시스템을 이용한 환황해권 수송 효율화 연구)

  • After analyzing network of the region of western sea, which is the center of Circle Yellow-Sea economic region, and Circle Bo-Hai and the delta of a long river economic region, which are belong to three major economic region of China, as an efficient strategy, rail & sea multi-transport system of Korea-China joint SOC strategy is suggested. Rail & Sea multi-transport system, which is the links of railroads and shipping transport, can be subdivided into train-ferry, which is the transport of loaded trains into a vessel, and transshipment, which is transshipment of containers from railroads to vessels. And, the way of railroads transport through a tunnel under the sea is also suggested.

  • Globalization of Economic activities have increased Company's interests about International Logistics Management. Expansion of International trade depends on International Logistics which can overcome distance and time. In In-cheon, There are many small scale and minor Freight Forwarders take advatage of being linked with a port, an airport but their inefficient paper works cause raising of Logistics costs and losing of competitive power. In this study, we develop a web based ocean forwarder information system for freight forwarder to solve these problems. So, this system will provide decreasing operation time, human resources, and accessing easily because of web based system, and finally decrease logistics cost and improve national competitive power.

  • Due to the fact that high speed railroad will be opened to traffic and TSR and TCR will be connected to Korean railroad network in near future, the efficient operation methods of Railroad freight transportation have been embossed as a matter of concern. But, it is true that the present level of our railway infrastructures and operation systems are still low. This study examines the freight transportation system and introduces new logistic service systems including network strategies and terminals which are haying developed overseas to increase the efficiency of existing railroad transportation system. In case of giving careful consideration to the new methods, it is expected that the high developed freight transportation systems will be applicable to our country.

  • 급변하는 글로벌 비즈니즈 환경속에서 물류의 역할은 나날이 증가하고 있다. 아울러 기존의 노동 집약적 물류 산업의 탈피가 가속화 되어 있으며, 고부과가치 물류 시스템 구축으로 융복합 기술을 활용한 새로운 모습으로 변화를 요구하고 있다. 특히, 물류 분야 중 자동차 생산 분류에 선재 관리를 통해 기업과 기업으로 서로 운송되어 분류되어 있으며, 차량 선재 분류는 자동화 통해 수행하고 있으나, 생산된 선재는 색깔별, 두께별로 일괄적으로 생산하여 나중에 선재를 작업자가 분류지를 보면서 작업을 하고 있하고 있다. 그러나, 선재 분류자는 반복적인 업무와 피로 누적으로 휴멘 에러가 발생으로 선재의 누락 혼합 발생되어 선재 물류 납품 시 이 차 기업으로 비용과 시간적 피해가 발생하게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 차량 선재 공정 분류와 그룹 모니터링 장치 기반의 선재 물류 분류 장치를 통해 공정을 개선하고자 한다.

Building up Road Transport Research Directions of Korea through Trend Analysis (국내.외 도로교통 연구동향과 시사점)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내ㆍ외의 도로교통부문 연구동향을 살펴보고, 현재 미국, 영국, 일본 등의 선진국에서 추진중인 도로교통분야 연구과제들을 수집하여 분석함으로써 우리나라의 향후 도로정책 수립에 기여할 수 있는 도로교통분야 연구방향을 제시하였다. 우리나라와 선진국의 도로교통 연구분야를 크게 10가지로 제시하였으며, 국내의 도로교통분야 연구 중 미약한 분야와 초기단계분야 및 중간단계분야를 정성적으로 제시하였다. 이 중, 지속 가능한 도로교통체계의 확립분야, 인간중심의 도로교통체계분야, 연계교통체계 및 복합운송체계 분야, 육상(도로) 물류분야에 과감한 연구개발 및 투자가 필요한 것으로 나타났으며, 무엇보다도 도로교통분야 연구전반에 지속적이고 과감한 투자가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 양(Quantify)-공급(Supply)-중심의 도로교통정책에서 질(Quality)-성과(Performance)- 중심의 도로교통정책이 수립되어야 하며, 향후 도로교통정책의 결정시 관련 분야 연구와의 연동화를 통한 도로교통정책-연구의 연동시스템이 정착되어야 한다.

Competitiveness and Cooperation of Logistics Industry in Northeast Asia (한.중.일 물류산업 경쟁력과 물류협력방안)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the competitiveness of the logistics industry of three countries - Korea, China and Japan - by looking into their logistics industry structure and the related regulations. For this aim, the paper examined the modal distribution of transportation, transport infrastructure, freight cost structure and regulation in transport sector in these countries. Furthermore, this study suggests some proposals for the further cooperation to bring sustainable progress in the logistics sector across Northeast Asia. The main suggestions of this paper are as follows: First, Korean government needs to strategize its options in the logistics industry, the most competitive in the country’s service sector, in upcoming FTA negotiations with China and Japan. Second, Korea needs to foster Busan into a strategic point for the Rail Ferry System and Road Feeder System. Third, Korea should participate in establishing shuttle flight service in Northeast Asia amid exploding flight demand from active economic interchange and tourism industry development.

  • This study conducted a SWOT/AHP analysis to prepare a developmental strategy for Gwangyang Port. The SWOT analysis is used to analyze internal and external environment in the strategy stage. The SWOT/AHP analysis was proposed by Kurttila et. al. (2000) to improve usefulness of the SWOT analysis. The results of the SWOT analysis confirm what factors are present in the SWOT group. Therefore, when it is combined with the AHP analysis, it evaluated the relative importance of factors gained from the SWOT analysis and used them to develop strategies. To sum up the results, in the SWOT group, opportunity, strong points, threat and weak points were relatively important in a good order. In respect to factors of the SWOT, for a factor of strength, reasonable freight cost, good port site, and broad hinterland were relatively important. As to factors of weakness, absence of an efficient customs system, a complex transport system and port personnel were relatively important. As to factors of opportunity, an improved transport system through building various infrastructures, consistent development of a connected industrial complex, and increased cargos in northeast area were relatively important. As to threat factors, an improved transport system through building various infrastructure, competition with neighboring ports and small complex transport companies were relatively important.

  • In this paper, a reliability analysis is performed where the pressure change inside a concrete tube is probabilistically estimated considering the uncertainties inherent in the material and the system discontinuity. A set of uncertain quantities related to the equivalent system air permeability and the atmospheric pressure, are defined as random variables with specific distribution. The pressure change inside a concrete tube is then probabilistically described using both analytical and simulation approaches. The reliability analysis confirms that the geometric configuration of a concrete tube needs to be changed from the initial configuration obtained from the deterministic analysis.

A Review for Development Strategy of Gyeongin Port (경인항의 발전 전략에 대한 소고)

  • As competition in domestic and overseas ports intensify, new and small domestic ports are realizing certain limitations to independently secure competitiveness. This study collected data over 60 months with five modifications for container and general cargo volume around Gyeongin Port. Short-period (12 months) cargo volume was forecasted, which revealed the need for a middle-to-long-term development plan. First, the hinterland logistics complex of Gyeongin Port is expected to contribute to the coastal maritime facility through the quasi-public system for fishery product transportation and passenger services. It proposes to achieve this by opening channels to and from China for precision machinery, home network systems, LEDs, and machine industry items. second, specializing the ultra-light cargo transport route, and connecting the coastal island areas of the 5 West Sea Islands to Ara Waterway (Integrated Fishery Product Center of the 5 West Sea Islands). Third, on the basis of organic cooperation of government? local government ? port, the incentive and pre-circular support system would be required, and lastly, it shall carry out the adjustment of functions in nearby ports and specialization strategy simultaneously through the integrated operation of the ports in the capital areas.
