  • 홀로그램은 빛의 세기와 위상 정보를 모두 기록함으로써 3차원 영상 정보를 기록 및 재현할 수 있는 차세대 영상 시스템이다. 홀로그램은 부동 소수점의 복소 데이터로 실수, 허수 또는 진폭, 위상 신호로 분리되어 압축된다. 본 논문에서는 복소 홀로그램 영상의 표현방식에 따른 압축성능을 비교해보고, 진폭-위상 압축에 대해 압축 친화적인 복소 홀로그램 변환 방식을 제안한다. 이후, 각 표현방식의 압축에서 효율적인 비트량 할당 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문은 제안방식인 QS 진폭-위상 표현이 실수-허수 표현만큼 높은 압축성능을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 압전 복합체 PVDF 의 복소수 탄성, 유전, 압전 상수를 측정하였다. 사용된 방법은 각각 초음파 투과법, 임피던스 분석법, 탄성 표면과 측정을 통한 수치해석을 이용하였고, 측정 치중 일부는 이미 보 고된 값들과 비교해보았다. 측정치의 신뢰성 증명을 위해 동일 기법을 압전 세라믹 PZT-5H에 적용해 검증하였다.

Numerical Analysis of the Complex Permittivity of MWNT added Epoxy Depending on Agglomeration Size (에폭시 내부의 MWNT 응집 크기에 따른 복소유전율 변화의 해석적 관찰)

  • This paper predicts the complex permittivity of MWNT added epoxy depending on agglomeration by numerical analysis. 1wt% MWNT added epoxy specimen is prepared using 3-roll-mill method and its complex permittivity is measured in X-band (8.2~12.4 GHz) using freespace measurement system. The analytic model is comprised of cube epoxy and perfect sphere agglomeration. The complex permittivity of the agglomeration model is predicted by complex permittivity mixing rule using the measured complex permittivity of epoxy and 1 wt% MWNT added epoxy. Commercial electromagnetic analysis software, CST, is used to obtain S-parameter of the analytic model and MATLAB code is used to calculate complex permittivity from the S-parameter. It is confirmed that the complex permittivity increases when the agglomeration size decreases.

  • The present study conducted a parameter effect analysis of low-frequency squeal noise using a numerical simulation. The finite element program ABAQUS was used to calculate the dynamic instability based on a complex eigenvalue analysis. A total of five parameters, including the chassis, wear, piston, material property, and contact condition, were selected to identify the factor effects on a low-frequency squeal noise between 2.5 and 3.1 kHz. The present study found the dominant level of each factor through an analysis of the means in the context of the experiment design.

  • Design and microwave absorbing properties of ferrite plate are investigated for the application to the radiowave absorbers used in anechoic chamber. The required frequency-dependence of complex permeability is determined on the basis of wave-impedance-matching relationship. The plate thickness and matchingfrequency are determined from the complex permeability and dielectric constant, and then compared with the directly measured reflection loss. A systematic variation of material constants and their influence on the microwave absorbing properties are demonstrated.

  • In this review, the theory and applications of the complex capacitance analysis, which can be utilized in analyzing capacitor-like electrochemical systems, were summarized. Theoretically, it was suggested that the imaginary capacitance plots (Cim vs. log f) can provide a simple way to analyze electrochemical characteristics of capacitive systems, without complicated mathematical calculations. The usefulness of the complex capacitance analysis has been demonstrated by applying it to analyze EDLC characteristics of practical porous carbon electrodes, ionic conductivities inside small pores, and ionic resistances in the catalyst layers of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells.

  • The eigenvalue problem is presented for the building with added viscoelastic dampers by using component mode method. The Lagrange multiplier formulation is used to derive the eigenvalue problem which is expressed with the natural frequencies of the building, the mode components at which the dampers are added, and the viscoelastic property of the damper. The derived eigenvalue problem has a nonstandard form for determining the eigenvalues. Therefore, the problem is examined by the graphical depiction to give new insight into the eigenvalues for the building with added viscoelastic dampers. Using the present approach the exact eigenvalues can be found and also upper and lower bounds of the eigenvalues can be obtained.

  • We presented the optical reconstruction system of complex hologram and theoretically demonstrated that the proposed system could display complex hologram. And we made the complex hologram of a three-dimensional image using the modified triangular interferometer, and presented and analyzed the three-dimensional images numerically and optically reconstructed from it.

  • Polarization filtering based on the multicomponent complex trace analysis method is performed to reject Rayleigh waves and to enhance S waves. To test the polarization filter, synthetic seismic data were constructed for a simple two-layer model based on the finite difference method. Rayleigh waves with elliptic motion are eliminated effectively and P and S waves with linear motions are well separated each other.
