This study examined the public interest in high school Korean language instruction and the universal design for learning (UDL) using the social big data analysis method. The observations from 10,339 search results led to the conclusion that public interest in UDL was significantly lower than that of high school Korean language instruction. The results of the Big Data Association analysis showed that 17.22% of the terms were found to be related to "curriculum." In addition, a survey was conducted on a total of 330 high school students to examine how their teachers apply UDL in the classroom. High school students perceived computers as the most frequently used technology tool in daily classes (38.79%). Teacher-led lectures (52.12%) were the most frequently observed method of instruction. Compared to the second-year and third-year students, the first-year students appreciated the usage of technology tools and various instruction mediums more frequently (ps<.05). Students were relatively more positive in their response to the query on the provision of multiple means of representation. Consequently, the lesson contents became easier to understand for students with the availability of various study methods and materials. The first-year students were generally more positive towards teachers' incorporation of UDL.

In the information society public libraries are situated in a rapidly changing social environment. Coming of post-printing era, expansion of knowledge, enhancement of social reflexivity, and growing flexibility of jobs, etc are bringing both crisis and opportunity to them. In order to take chances public libraries must collect materials in D/B format as well as printed and computer-file forms, and enlarge assistance to educational and research activities of residents and business firms. In addition, they must contribute to reducing information divide, increasing communal interactions, and providing leisure activities. It is required for them to develop a variety of programs and strengthen publicity among residents.

정보사회와 컴퓨딩환경의 발전으로 언어, 학력, 인지도 등의 평가도구로서 컴퓨터기반의 평가환경이 보편화되었다. 특히 컴퓨터기반의 학력평가 환경을 위해서는 문항의 난이도와 변별도 등 문항의 특성을 정확히 분석하는 것이 필수적이다. 문항분석은 컴퓨터기반의 평가를 위한 양질의 문제은행 구성 및 문항과 수험자 능력의 정확한 추정과 체계적이고 과학적인 평가를 위한 전제조건이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 고전평가이론의 문제분석을 적용한 문제은행 시스템을 구현하였으며 수험결과를 분석하여 각 문제의 곤란도나 변별도, 문항분포도를 통하여 문제를 분석할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 수험자가 각 문제를 푸는데 걸린 시간을 기록하여, 수험자의 문제에 이해도를 정확히 분석하고 수험자의 추측, 랜덤 선택 등으로 인한 정답을 맞힐 가능성과 한 문제를 읽고 이해하는 시간이 너무 오래걸린 이유에 대해서도 추정하였다. 문제분석 및 수험결과의 평가 및 분석으로 교사들은 문항의 양호도를 높일 수 있고 문제은행에 저장되어 있는 문항들을 수정하고 보완하여 양질의 문항을 출제할 수 있도록 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between teachers' characteristics and schools' peculiarities and to analyze relevant variables which influence the organization and implementation of the curriculum in specialized industry high schools. Subject were 414 teachers in specialized industry high school. The main result of this study are as follows. First, according to teachers' sex distinction, position, teaching experience, career of industry-related companies, subtle stress difference were found in establishment of education programs, relevance of educational activity, propriety of equipment. Second, in case of schools' subject of establishment, dormitory, specialized types, number of class, type of the sex of recruitment, subtle difference were found in connectivity of graders and subjects, relevance of the organization of education activity, substantial curriculum, push ahead with specialized high school. Third, measures to support development of specialized curriculum arrange sub-items in order of frequency. The way we understand things on vocational education must be settled without delay.

To foster the core talents of the future, the development of diverse and substantial SW·AI education programs is required, and a systematic system that can assist public education in SW and AI must be established. In this study, we develop and combine SW·AI education modules to construct a SW and AI education program applicable to public education. We also establish a systematic education system and provide sustainable SW·AI education to elementary, middle, and high school students through 'Job's Garage Camp' based on various sharing platforms. By creating a sustainable follow-up educational environment, students are encouraged to continue their self-directed learning of SW and AI. As a result of conducting a pre-post survey of students participating in the 'Job's Garage Camp', the post-survey values improved compared to the pre-survey values in all areas of 'interest', 'understanding and confidence', and 'career aspirations'. Based on these results, it can be confirmed that students had a universal positive perception and influence on SW and AI. Therefore, if the operation case of 'Job's Garage Camp' is improved and expanded, it can be presented as a standard model applicable to other SW and AI education programs in the future.

이상에서 소개된 정보통신부 리눅스 활성화 방안을 요약하면 다음과 같다.1991년 개발된 리눅스가 최근 저비용 고효율 안정성 등의 여러가지 이점 때문에 대표적인 PC서버용 운영체제로 부각되고 있다. IBM, Intel, Sun 등 세계적인 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 업체들이 공식적으로 리눅스 지원을 시작하면서 Windows NT에 대적하는 새로운 서버 운영체제로 부각되었고, 이에 따라 다른 여러 업체들도 리눅스 시장을 선점하기 위해 활발한 개발활동을 전개하고 있다. 본 활성화 방안은 국내에서 리눅스 활성화를 통해 다음의 목표를 달성하기 위해 마련되었다. 추진목표는 첫째, 저가격 고성능의 리눅스를 이용한 PC 보급 확산으로 인터넷 이용환경 구축 예산을 절감하고 교육정보화 등 정보화사업에 리눅스 적용을 통해 국민의 보편적 이용환경을 조성하는 데 있고, 둘째, 리눅스 기반기술 개발을 통해 소프트웨어 기술을 국제수준으로 향상시키고, 셋째, 리눅스의 보급 활성화를 통한 국내 소프트웨어 산업을 육성하는 데 있다. 구체적 추진전략은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 리눅스 한글환경 표준화 및 리눅스 기반기술 개발 등과 같은 원활한 리눅스 보급을 위한 연구개발을 추진한다. 둘째, 리눅스 환경하의 다양한 응용 개발 촉진체계를 구축한다. 셋째, 공공분야에 대한 리눅스 보급을 추진한다. 셋째, 공공분야에 대한 리눅스 보급을 추진한다. 정보화사업 추진 시 리눅스 활용을 적극 추진하고 교육정보화 사업의 기본장비로 활용하는 시범사업을 추진한다. 또한 산 학 연의 리눅스 전문가들로 리눅스 협의회를 구성하여 리눅스 보급 확산을 위한 활동을 추진하게 될 것이다. 이 과정에서 기업들의 요구사항 및 이용활성화에 대해서 협의가 이루어질 것이다. 새 천년에는 시작부터 국가간에 치열한 정보화 경쟁이 있을 것이다. 정보화 환경이 얼마나 저비용 고효율으로 잘 구축되었느냐, 그리고 정보화 인력을 얼마나 갖고 있느냐가 그러한 국제사회에서의 경쟁력을 좌우하게 될 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 리눅스의 활성화는 매우 중요하다. 본 활성화 방안이 성공적으로 수행되어 우리나라가 아시아의 리눅스 메카로 떠올라 새천년에 우리나라가 정보화 선진국에 진입하도록 정부에서는 최대의 노력을 기울일 방침이다.

In this paper, we present a simple ground receiving station as an educational method for a satellite system. Our system is produced similarly to the existing fixed ground station in terms of function by using satellite communication technology and related software commonly used in the amateur radio field. In addition, we conducted operation test to receive signals from operating satellites and confirmed the possibility of using them as a way to educate satellite systems, such as understanding ground station systems through satellite reception experience and satellite state information acquisition, and further designing satellite systems.

The purpose of this article is to find out both strategies and methods that Korean libraries could be reborn and recognized as an essential public good for the information poor. To the end, the first discussion is about the Korean society's intrinsic standpoints on social minorities and information poverty. And the second discussion is on how the Korean library community has approached and met with the information poverty issues of social minorities. Special concerns are on analysing the achievements and limitations of Korean library policies for social minorities. Also investigated are the indigenous factors that have impeded the further development of library services for the information poor. And finally this article requests for scholarly efforts to strengthen the theoretical basis of library policies for social minorities, together with strategic suggestions for Korean librarians who wish to renovate their specialized services for social minorities.

To maintain good oral hygiene, plaque control is essential and the most common and effective method is appropriate brushing. However accurate brushing is so difficult for children that the importance of brush is getting higher. We investigated the effect of tooth brushing instruction in plaque control for 40 children who came to Kyunghee university dental hospital, department of pediatric dentistry. We examined basic information by self-assessment, evaluated plaque index, tooth & tongue cleanness, malodor index for 4 times and compared values before and after tooth brushing instruction. Plaque index decreased(p<0.01) and tooth & tongue cleanness increased(p<0.01). There were no significant differences in mal-odor index. In conclusion, tooth brushing instruction is effective in removing dental plaque and its beneficial role is highly expected in establishing children's good oral hygiene.

인터넷 사용이 보편화됨에 따라 컴퓨터뿐만 아니라, 휴대폰이나 PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)를 이용한 인터넷 사용이 증가하고 있다. 다양한 학습방법의 개발과 제공은 사용자에게 알맞은 학습형태를 선택할 수 있는 폭을 더 넓혀줄 것이다. 모바일 학습은 이러한 요구 사항에 적합하고 시대적으로 필요하다. Web과 함께 모바일 인터넷 환경을 이용한 교육 컨텐츠 제공에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 인터넷 환경에서 모바일을 이용한 교육용 컨텐츠를 J2ME기반으로 구현하였다.
