A great deal of energy is necessary with emission of lots of wastewater in dyeing and finishing process, but heat recovery from wastewater is not introduced since is technology is not developed yet. In order to obtain the method utilizing hot water produced by heat source, that is, dyeing wastewater it was investigated the characteristics of dyeing and finishing process and energy basic unit. Energy basic unit of polyester/cotton (T/C), polyester/rayon (T/R) and polyester dyeing process are higher than that of the other process. The average quantity of wastewater for each dyeing company is 20,470 ton/month, the average temperature of wastewater is about 41$^{\circ}C$. Because the SS solution of wastewater in polyester dyeing process is lower than that of the other process, the effect of corrosion in heat recovery system is low. Since the energy price for 1000 kcal produced by vapor compression heat pump is presumed to be 22.50 won, it is found to be very economic heat recovery system, and its payback is 2.09 years for the factory with LNG boiler.
The experimental investigation aims at developing controlled low strength materials (CLSM) using a self-cementitious fly ash (FA) as a binder and a bottom ash (BA) as a aggregate. The fly ash and bottom ash used in this study were obtained from a circulating fluidized bed combustion boiler (CFBC) which produces relatively high CaO containing fly ash. To find the optimum mixing condition satisfying flow consistency and unconfined compression strength (UCS), the CLSM specimens were prepared under various mixing conditions, including two types of aggregate and different weight fractions between fly ash and aggregate. Additionally, the prepared specimens were evaluated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results of this study demonstrate that the water content satisfying flow consistency ranges from 42% to 85% and the flowability is improved with increasing the fraction of aggregate in whole mixture. The USC ranges from 0.3 MPa to 1.9 MPa. The results of UCS increases with increasing the fraction of aggregate in FA-sand mixtures, but decreases with increasing the fraction of aggregate in FA-BA mixtures. SEM images and XRD patterns reveal that the occurrence of both geopolymerization and hydration. The results of this study demonstrate that CFBC fly ash could be used as an alternative binder of CLSM mixtures.
It is becoming increasingly important to make use of alternative energy source. because It is not able to rely on only fossil fuel for the recent increasing demand of energy consumption. With this situation, lots of studies for utilizing low grade energy such as industrial waste heat, solar energy, and geothermal energy have been conducted. The aim of this study is to predict the operation characteristics of working fluid by using performance analysis program (ThermoFlex) through the system analysis which is not mixing district return water but using ORC(Organic Rankine Cycle, hereinafter ORC) as a downstream cycle when accumulating district heating (hereinafter DH). In this study, We conducted the performance analysis for the case which has the district heating water temperature($120^{\circ}C$) and Flow rate of $163m^3/h$ (including District Heating return water flow), and examined several working fluid which is proper to this temperature. The case using R245fa (which is the best-case) showed 269.2kW power output, 6.37% efficiency. Additionally, Cut down on fuel was expected because of the boiler inlet temperature increase by being Formed $57.3{\sim}85^{\circ}C$ in a temperature of district heating return water, depending on a pressure change of a condenser in ORC system.

Zero waste clean city was visualized by designing the environmental fundamental facilities such as automated waste collection and bio-energizing system of domestic waste, which was categorized into food and combustible waste from urban area. The biomass circulation position was applied to the domestic waste collection position combined with bio-energizing system in the zero waste clean city. Bio-energizing system consisted of bio-gasification, bio-fuel and bioenergy-circulation process. Food wastes were treated by bio-gasification with anaerobic digestion, and combustible wastes were made of bio-fuel with pyrolysis/drying. Biogas and bio-fuel was utilized into the electric generation or boiler heat in bioenergy-circulation process. The emission of carbon dioxide(CO2) and construction fee of the environmental fundamental facilities related with domestic waste was estimated in the existing city and zero waste clean city, assuming the amount of food waste 35 ton/day, combustible waste 20 ton/day from domestic area. Consequently, 2.7 times lower carbon dioxide emission and 15% construction fee of the environmental fundamental facilities related with domestic waste were obtained from the zero waste clean city by comparing with existing city.

We examine the processing method of the food wastewater to direct spray at living waste incinerator. The demoscale stoker system is used as a incineration facility. The results show that it brings effect on the reduction of nitrogen oxide ($NO_x$) concentration as well as the ammonia ($NH_3$) amount in SNCR (selective non-catalytic reduction) by the incineration of food wastewater which is containing a plentiful ammoniac nitrogen ($NH_3$-N). Furthermore, the stability of incineration facility and the extension of operation period is actualized as a improvement of clogging phenomenon on outer wall of water pipe as the 870~$950^{\circ}C$ maintain of exit temperature in a second combustor by spray of the food wastewater. The 26 items of air pollution matter of nitrogen oxide ($NO_x$), sulfur oxide ($SO_x$) and dioxin etc. are measured. The results show that it is under the value of allowable exhaust standard.
The DMM (Deep mixing method) is a construction method in which an improved pile is installed in the soft ground by excavation ground using an auger and then mixing ground stabilizer with soil. Improved pile installed in the soft ground by the DMM may have different compressive strength depending on the properties and characteristics of the soil. In the previous study, laboratory tests were performed on the ground stabilizer for the DMM developed by using the ash of the circulating fluidized bed boiler as a stimulator for alkali activation of the blast furnace slag. And the test results were analyzed to derive the correlation between the unit weight of binder (γB) and the uniaxial compressive strength (qu). In this study, comparative reviews were conducted on the correlations derived from the same laboratory tests on soil material collected from the Saemangeum area and the stability of the site was evaluated by analyzing the test results performed at the site. As a result, the clay collected from the Saemangeum area satisfies the correlation between the unit weight of binder (γB) and the uniaxial compressive strength (qu) derived from the previous study. And the result of the test at the field showed a higher uniaxial compressive strength than the standard strength at the field, indicating excellent stability.

In this study, static load test and dynamic load test were performed to evaluate pile-filling material (ZA-Soil) of soil-cement injected precast pile method which was developed by using the ash of circulating fluidized boiler as a stimulant for alkali activation reaction of blast furnace slag. As a result of the static load test, the allowable bearing capacity of pile was 1,350 kN, which was the same as the result of using ordinary portland cement. And total settlement was 6.97 mm, and net settlement was 1.48 mm. These are similar to the total settlement, 7.825 mm, and net settlement, 2.005 mm of ordinary portland cement. As a result of the dynamic load test and CAPWAP analysis, the skin friction was 375.0 kN, the end bearing capacity was 3,045.9 kN, and the allowable bearing capacity was 1,368.36 kN. These results are similar to the results of using ordinary portland cement as pile-filling material.
The present study has been carried out to diagnose the temperature safety of a boiler desuperheater which decreases abnormally higher temperature of superheated steam in a reheater of a power plant. The liquid water in the desuperheater stays in a closed space. It becomes heated by the high temperature superheated steam and boiling could occur. Boiling might increase internal pressure and it could destroy the desuperheater if the internal pressure exceeds the allowable pressure of the desuperheater. The present study modeled reasonably the desuperheater and four cases of heat transfer analysis are executed with the consideration of insulator and natural convective fluid flow of the inside cooling water. For the case excluded the natural convective fluid flow, the temperature exceeds the allowable temperature and pressure. On the other hand, for the real case included natural convective fluid flow and insulator, the active heat transfer from higher temperature region to lower temperature region occurs and it makes the temperature in the cooling water below the allowable temperature and pressure. From this fact, it could be thought that the desuperheater in the reheater is safe from destroy or back flow.

$CO_2$ is generated by the combustion reaction, when getting the energy from fossil fuel. If the carbon dioxide emissions increases more, the global warming problem will become more serious. CCS (carbon capture storage) needs to be developed for the prevention of this. When liquefied $CO_2$ is transported, BOG (boil-off gas) is generated because of several problems. In the study, by injecting liquefied $CO_2$ in two tanks which contains $40m^3$each, the amount of BOG and its composition were measured during 30 days when generating pressure changes and external heat, loading, unloading. In result, 16,040 kg of BOG was generated and the composition has been found out to be 99.95% $CO_2$ and 0.05 % $N_2$. Also, we conducted simulation process for reliquefaction of generated BOG with vapor compression cycle using the PRO/II with PROVISION version 9.2. As a result, the refrigeration cycle of the total circulation flow rate was 42.07 kg/h and the condenser utility consumption was 48.85 kg/h.
